Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to investigate the improvement of male and female students’ mathematical Creative Problem Solving (CPS) ability as a result of Situation-Based Learning. The quasi experimental design was used by involving two methods, namely Situation-Based Learning and conventional method. The population of the research was high school students in Central Java Province. The research instrument used in the study was CPS test. The data were analyzed based on the students’ gender. The research resulted in the following conclusions: (1) the improvement of students’ mathematical CPS ability taught under SBL was higher than those who were taught using conventional method based on students’ gender, and (2) there was no interaction between learning model and gender on the improvement of students’ mathematical CPS ability.Keywords: female students, improvement of mathematical CPS ability, male students, SBL learningAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan CPS matematis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan sebagai akibat dari pembelajaran SBL. Penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini menerapkan dua model pembelajaran yaitu pembelajaran SBL dan pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan CPS matematis. Analisis data ditinjau berdasarkan gender siswa. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan: 1) peningkatan kemampuan CPS matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran SBL lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari gender siswa; dan 2) tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran dan gender siswa terhadap peningkatan kemampuan CPS matematis.Kata Kunci: pembelajaran SBL, peningkatan kemampuan CPS matematis, siswa laki-laki, siswa perempuan

Abstract

This research intends to examine the listening skill of IV Graders of elementary school at SDK Wololanu after learning with cartoon film media. This research was a classroom action research (commonly referred to as CAR). It employed Kemmis and Taggart research model and used qualitative approach. The data were obtained by using test, observation, field notes, and documentation. The results show that cartoon film media improves listening skills of students.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan menyimak siswa kelas IV SDK Wololanu setelah diterapkan media film kartun. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart dan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik tes, observasi, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan media film kartun dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak siswa.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyzing the relationship between learning motivation and physics learning achievement, emotional intelligence and physics learning achievement, and learning motivation and emotional intelligence with physics learning achievement at SMA Negeri in Singaraja city. The type of this research was ex-post facto with correlation quantitative method. The result of this research was the students’ physics learning achievement which is low and it shows that there are the positive relationship between learning motivation and emotional intelligence with physics learning achievement. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan motivasi belajar dan prestasi belajar fisika, kecerdasan emosional dan prestasi belajar fisika serta motivasi belajar dan kecerdasana emosional dengan prestasi belajar fisika di SMA Negeri di kota Singaraja. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex-post facto dengan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa prestasi belajar fisika siswa berada pada kategori rendah dan menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara motivasi belajar dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap prestasi belajar fisika

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims at improving processing skills and learning outcome of students on stoichiometry concept. First stage was instructional instrument development, the second stage was trials on X graders of Senior High School using One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The results of this research showed that (1) the developed instructional instrument is good and reliable, (2) the lesson plan was well-accomplished, (3) students activity were positive during the learning, (4) students response were positive, (5) the cognitive learning iutcomes of product and process have met minimum criteria of mastery learning, (6) the improvement of processing skill is in the category of high gain. To sum up, the developed instructional instrument could improve students processing skill and learning outcomes.Keyword: guided inquiry, learning outcomes, process skill, pure cartoonAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep stoikiometri. Tahap pertama adalah pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran, tahap kedua adalah ujicoba pada siswa kelas X SMA menggunakan One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1. perangkat pembelajaran berkategori baik dan reliabel, 2. RPP dapat terlaksana dengan baik, 3. aktivitas siswa sangat positif dalam pembelajaran, 4. respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran sangat positif, 5. hasil belajar kognitif produk dan proses menunjukkan ketuntasan KKM; 6. peningkatan keterampilan proses berada pada kategori high gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan proses, pure cartoon

Abstract

This study examines the effect of learning motivation of high achieving students at Universitas Negeri Malang. Learning motivation has an important role in the lecture process. Learning motivation is an impetus in a conscious effort to make changes in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. So it takes students who are able to increase their motivation for achievement in order to be an example for other students. Therefore researchers are interested in studying research related to learning motivation and ways of learning from outstanding students. The object of research studied was outstanding students at Universitas Negeri Malang. The research method used is quantitative data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires in the Google form. The results of this study reveal the motivation to learn and how to learn from each respondent who is an outstanding student at Universitas Negeri Malang. The results of the research are expected to be a reference in increasing learning motivation for other students.

Abstract

One of the most important steps in having educational process with the media. The media itself represents the component of Language Leaning. In researchers’ context, which is Math, the subject matter represents the content itself. Most of the times, our students face difficulty in learning the content—Math subject. Therefore, the objective of this study is to produce an instructional media that might ease the students in learning Mathematics easier and meaningful. Our interest is developing an instructional media that help students to also learn culture as its additional material. We develop ETHIC GAME (Ethnomathematics Game) as an integrated and augmented reality-based (AR) instructional media that combine mathematics and culture. Based on Edgar Dale’s theory on learning, the students can undergo the meaningful learning experience when they learn, observe, and listen to the media by themselves. We decide then to make an instructional media that also use such kind of principle that is TRINGO (Ngerti, Ngrasa, Nglakoni – or Understanding, Experiencing, Doing) by Ki Hadjar Dewantara. The development method used in this study refers to Lee Owen model of development. In the end, by having ETHIC GAME as instructional media, students learn more insightful and meaningful Mathmatics and culture—not only to make the learning process more authentic, but also to make the learners preserve the national culture.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive multimedia infographic learning based on HTML5, as well as test its feasibility and quality. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D) with the DDDE development method (Decide, Design, Development, Evaluation). This research was conducted at the Economic Education Study Program FKIP Mulawarman University. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Multimedia interactive infographic learning developed based on HTML5 is suitable for offline use. (2) Multimedia interactive interactive infographic learning in research methodology courses have been declared feasible by experts of research methods teaching materials with an average value of 4.10, multimedia learning experts with an average value of 4.15, and multimedia practitioners of learning with an average value of 4.66. (3) Multimedia interactive infographic learning in research methodology courses has been tested to have good quality in individual trials with an average value of 3.83, in small group trials with an average value of 4.23, and in field trials with an average value of 4.22.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to: (1) describe the process of lesson study based instructional management; and (2) enhance students’ activity in lecturing by implementing the lesson study based instructional management. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative and classroom action research, which were implemented with two cycles, the first cycle and the second cycle. The research instruments were the lesson study observation sheet and students’ activity observation sheet during the learning process. The results showed that: (1) the process of lesson study based instructional management was a cyclical process involving the development of the lesson plans, the implementation of learning (do, open class), and the evaluation of learning (see), and (2) there was an improvement in terms of students’ activeness in following the lecturing activity when lesson study based instructional management was implemented.Keywords: instructional management, lesson study, students’ activityAbstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mendeskripsikan proses manajemen pembelajaran berbasis lesson study; dan (2) meningkatkan keaktifan mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan dengan menerapkan manajemen pembelajaran berbasis lesson study. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualitatif dan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus, yaitu Siklus I dan Siklus II. Abstract

Constructivism approach in teaching and learning is based on a synthesis of several research in cognitive psychology and social psychology, as well as techniques of operant conditioning theory in behavioral psychology. The basic premise is that individuals must actively "build" their knowledge and skills (Brunner, 1990) from information obtained in the process of building a learning framework from the environment outside. Teachers will not be able to give all knowledge to their students. Students must construct knowledge in their own minds. The essence of constructivism theory is 'ideas'. Students must find and transform complex information into other situations. With that basis, teaching and learning process must be designed into a process of 'constructing' rather than 'receiving' knowledgePendekatan konstruktivisme dalam belajar dan pembelajaran didasarkan pada perpaduan antara beberapa penelitian dalam psikologi kognitif dan psikologi sosial, sebagaimana teknik-teknik dalam modifikasi perilaku yang didasarkan pada teori operant conditioning dalam psikologi behavioral. Premis dasarnya adalah bahwa individu harus secara aktif “membangun” pengetahuan dan keterampilannya (Brunner, 1990) dari informasi yang diperoleh dalam proses membangun kerangka belajar dari lingkungan luar dirinya.Guru tidak akan mampu memberikan semua pegetahuan kepada siswanya. Siswa harus mengkonstruksikan pengetahuan dibenak mereka sendiri. Esensi dari teori konstruktivisme adalah ’ide’.  Siswa harus menemukan dan mentransformasikan suatu informasi kompleks ke situasi lain. Dengan dasar itu, maka belajar dan pembelajaran harus dikemas menjadi proses ‘mengkonstruksi’ bukan ‘menerima’ pengetahuan.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to describe the constraints of the teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. This study was descriptive research. The subjects were teachers in SMP Negeri 1 Dullah. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis technique. The data were collected using interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data was obtained through the method triangulation. The results of the study show that the constraints experienced by the teacher include making learning media, understanding teachers, integrating inter-learning lessons in thematic learning, and mastering information technology. While other constraints originating from the government include the distribution of books, assessment, teacher administration, time allocation, socialization, guidelines for implementing the curriculum, and learning activities in student books.
