Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties of students in speaking skill learning which are influenced by several factors, namely students' internal factors, including low understanding and dismissive attitudes, and external factors in the form of teachers who are still not precise in choosing learning techniques or methods, as well as factors from schools, namely tools or learning media that are still not evenly distributed. Therefore, this study aims to describe how to apply the Kitab Al Arabiyyah Lin Nasyiin with a video-based learning media. This study uses a qualitative method, the data generated is not in the form of numbers. The results of this study are the use of video-based media is very interesting for students because the video is audio-visual.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the evaluation of Arabic learning by utilizing technological developments as a means of evaluation. On this occasion, the researcher chose the MiSK application as a model, which is a game-based learning application on Android, equipped with Arabic vocabulary, images, and audio, which was designed by one of the lecturers from Istanbul 29 Mayis University. Researchers use the data that has been obtained to conduct library research, link some problems with existing theories, and find relevant solutions for each problem obtained. Some of the problems related to this research are: 1) Advances in information technology require teachers to always provide interesting, intuitive, and interactive learning facilities. 2) The lack of Arabic language applications that can test the four basic language learning skills in one application. Of the existing problems, there are several solutions, one of which is by using the MiSK application. Teachers can easily provide an evaluation of Arabic learning which already contains four basic skills in one application

Abstract

Tulisan ini memiki objek material novel modern Mesir yang berjudul al-Yaum al-Maw’ud karya Najib al-Kailani. Novel ini mengisahkan perjuangan rakyat Mesir di bawah pimpinan Raja Najmuddin Ayun melawan tantara Salib Perancis yang dIpimpin oleh Pangeran Louis. Adapun yang menarik dari novel ini adalah adanya resistensi yang variatif yang dilakukan oleh berbagai kalangan, serta sikap ambivalensi yang sangat kental dipraketkan oleh tokoh penjajah. Sementara itu, objek formalnya adalah teori post kolonial dengan memakai metode dekonstruksi. Teori ini didasarkan pada gugatan Edward Said dalam karyanya “orientalism” yang memiliki landasan epistiemologis, ontologis, dan aksiologis menyasar pada kepentingan kolonial. Barat dan Timur yang diposisikan sedemikian rupa, menurut Said sudah melanggar nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dan harus dikembalikan kepada tempatnya. Hasil dari penelitian itu menunjukan bahwa oposisi biner Barat dan Timur yang selalu dikaitkan dengan berperadaban dan terbelakang, positif dan negatif, putih dan hitam, yang tidak sepenuhnya benar. Hal ini tampak dalam masif dan variatifnya resistensi yang diberikan oleh masyarakat Mesir dan bangsa Arab. Selain itu, ketidaktepatan tindakan Barat terhadap Timur juga dicerminkan oleh ambivalensi yang ditampilkan oleh Marseil sebagai tantara Perancis. Dengan demikian, berarti kolonialisasi yang dilakukan oleh Barat yang mengatasnamakan dirinya negara superior kepada Timur yang dianggap inferior telah mekanggar nilai-nilai kemanusiaan

Abstract

Conditional sentences are part of the syntactic system that exists in Arabic and English. In general, the provisions relating to conditional sentences in the two languages ​​have similarities and differences. This study seeks to identify more deeply related to this matter by way of contrasting it. The subject matter relates to the similarities and differences in the form and function of conditional sentences in Arabic and English. This study is a literary style that optimizes related literature to discuss the object of research. This study formulates that the similarity in the form and function of conditional sentences in Arabic and English, namely: it can be stated implicitly, has two-sentence forms, has clear rules, has the same primary components, can be used to convey open and conjectural conditions. The differences are: Arabic markers are more varied, the characteristics of conditional sentences in Arabic focus on the markers while in English it is more on tenses, the construction of conditional sentences in Arabic is more varied than in English Abstrak Kalimat kondisional merupakan bagian dari sistem sintaksis yang ada dalam bahasa Arab dan bahasa Inggris. Lazimnya, ketentuan yang berkaitan dengan kalimat kondisional dalam kedua bahasa tersebut terdapat persamaan dan perbedaan. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengidentifikasi lebih dalam berkaitan dengan hal tersebut dengan cara mengkontraskannya. Adapun pokok masalah berkaitan dengan persamaan dan perbedaan bentuk dan fungsi kalimat kondisional dalam bahasa Arab dan bahasa Inggris. Kajian ini bercorak kepustakaan yang mengoptimalkan literatur terkait untuk membahas objek penelitian. Kajian ini merumuskan bahwa persamaan bentuk dan fungsi kalimat kondisional dalam bahasa Arab dan bahasa Inggris yaitu: dapat dinyatakan secara implisit, mempunyai dua bentuk kalimat, mempunyai aturan yang jelas, mempunyai komponen primer yang sama dan dapat digunakan untuk menyampaikan kondisi yang bersifat terbuka dan dugaan. Adapun perbedaannya adalah: penanda bahasa Arab lebih variatif, karakteristik kalimat kondisional dalam bahasa Arab menitikberatkan pada penanda sementara dalam bahasa Inggris lebih kepada tenses, kontruksi kalimat kondisional dalam bahasa Arab lebih variatif dari bahasa Inggris

Abstract

Matriculation language program is an intensive language program started on 2016 at University of Darussalam Gontor (UNIDA) to prepare new students who doesn’t fluency in English and Arabic language, especially for English and Arabic tests. It is also crucial for thesis writing, at UNIDA. The objectives of this study are: (1) to find students' problems in learning Arabic programme matriculation in the academic year 2019-2020; and (2) to find out the teacher's efforts in providing solutions in matriculation problems. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The results found that: (1) problems of learning arabic students caused by the following factors: (a) many students who participated in non-linguistic activities at UNIDA; (b) lack of enthusiasm and encouragement from students; (c) students have not consider the importance of this program; (d) the lack of providing guidance and good advice to students from the teachers; and (e) the students do not want to be regulated in learning arabic. The teachers efforts to solve these problems are: (a) emphasizing the rules of language with a place that is set with a special boarding system; (b) watching arabic films and discussions and giving praise, gifts for students who are active in this program; (c) teachers should be good examples in speaking arabic; (d) meeting after language skills training; and (e) make fun of language activities for example; competitions, games, and quarantine in arabic

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure and meaning of the poetry text fii ainika unwanii using Riffatere's semiotic theory. Methods of This research uses a qualitative method and Riffaterre's semiotic approach. This study describes the reading of heuristics, hermeneutics and described by matrices, models, variants and hypograms in fii ainika unwani poetry. This type of research uses qualitative, data in the form of stanzas or lines in the poem fii ainika unwani by Faruq Juwaidah. The data source is a poetry text consisting of 2 stanzas and 32 lines. While the presentation of the data is done by drawing conclusions by describing the results of the application of Riffatere's semiotic theory in the form of words, sentences and paragraphs in a systematic, factual and accurate manner, semantic validity is done by reading and repeating poetry and the results that are relevant to the theory. The results show that the heuristic reading in the form of translation of the meaning is generally described about love. love, love, fear of loss and hope. The variant of the poem that is emphasized is in the first stanza which includes the essence, namely: he said, you will forget me. And the variant in the thirteenth stanza that answers questions and hopes in the first stanza is "I answer, love is my faith". The model in this poem in general is that when we love the right person it will make us better to love the wrong person, it is love that will kill the lovers. The hypogram in this poem is motivated by feelings expressed through hope. Keywords: Faruq Juwaidah, poetry, romantic, Riffaterre's semiotics Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur dan makna teks puisi fii ainika unwanii menggunakan teori semiotika Riffatere. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan semiotik Riffaterre. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan pembacaan heuristic, hermeneutic dan dideskripsikan dengan matriks, model, varian dan hipogram dalam puisi fii ainika unwani. Jenis Penelitian menggunakan kualitatif, data berupa bait atau baris dalam puisi fii ainika unwani karya Faruq Juwaidah. Sumber data berupa teks puisi yang terdiri dari 2 bait dan 32 baris. Penyajian data dilakukan dengan penarikan kesimpulan dengan mendeskripsikan hasil dari penerapan teori semiotik Riffatere berupa kata, kalimat dan paragraf secara sistematis, faktual dan akurat, validitas semantik dilakukan dengan membaca dan meneliti secara berulang-ulang terhadap puisi dan hasil yang relevan dengan teori. Hasil dari pembacaan heuristik berupa terjemahaan arti dari puisi Arab karya Faruq Juwaidah secara umum menggambarkan tentang kasih sayang, cinta, takut kehilangan serta harapan. Varian puisi yang ditekankan yaitu pada bait pertama yang telah mecakup inti, yaitu: dia berkata, kau akan melupakanku. Dan varian pada bait ke tiga belas yang menjawab ketakutan dan harapan pada bait pertama yaitu “aku menjawab, mencintaimu adalah imanku”. Model dalam puisi ini secara umum adalah ketika kita mencintai orang yang tepat akan membuat kita lebih baik sedangkan mencintai orang yang salah, cintalah yang akan membunuh para pecinta. Hipogram pada puisi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pengungkapan perasaan yang diceritakan melalui harapan. Kata kunci: Faruq Juwaidah, puisi, romantic, semiotika Riffaterre

Abstract

Abstract Poetry research with the title "I witness that there is no woman Apart From You" by Nizar Qabbani. Poetry has beautiful words that describe social conditions even to the point of economic and political. The purpose of this study was to find out the meaning contained in the poem "I witness There Is No Woman Besides You and to know the aspects of the signified and the aspect of the signifier. The form of the formulation of the problem contained in this poem are: 1) What are the characteristics of women in the poem "I bear witness that there is no woman but you"? 2) How does the female figure compare the poet to the poem?. The method used in this study uses qualitative methods. And this research was studied using semiotic analysis. Semiotics is the study of signs and meanings contained in literary works. The findings of this study are that there are aspects of signifier and signified . the characteristics of women described in the verses of the poem "I witness there is no woman but you". While the results of the research in this poem explain the figure of a woman, namely the most loved wife, who is able to nurture and care for her patiently which is like taking care of her young child, tough, affectionate, patient and able to accompany the poet in times of joy and sorrow. Puisi memiliki kata-kata yang indah yang menggambarkan keadaan sosial bahkan sampai ekonomi dan politik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui makna yang terkandung dalam puisi “Aku Bersaksi Tiada Perempuan Selain Engkau, dan mengetahui aspek petanda dan paspek penanda. Bentuk rumusan masalah yang terdapat dalam puisi ini yaitu: 1) Bagaimana sifat-sifat wanita yang terdapat dalam puisi “Aku Bersaksi Tiada Perempuan Selain Engkau”? 2) Bagaimana sosok wanita tersebut mengumpamakan sang penyair pada puisi tersebut?. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Dan penelitian ini dikaji menggunakan analisis semiotika. Semiotika adalah ilmu yang mengkaji tentang tanda dan makna yang terdapat dalam karya sastra. Adapun temuan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat aspek petanda dan penanda, sifat-sifat wanita yang dijelaskan pada bait-bait puisi “Aku Bersaksi Tiada Perempuan Selain Engkau”. Sedangkan hasil penelitian dalam puisi ini menjelaskan sosok wanita yaitu istri yang paling dicintai, yang mampu mengayomi serta merawat dengan telaten yang diibaratkan seperti merawat anaknya yang masih kecil, tangguh, kasih sayang, penyabar dan mampu mendampingi sang penyair dalam keadaan suka maupun duka. Abstract

This study aims to reveal the nervous system in the human speech process with the point of view form a psycholinguistic analysis. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of literature study. The results showed that understanding language, like producing it, is such an automatic importance that it may seem an easy-to-forget process. The sounds or letters fall on our ears or our eyes quickly, creating the words that make up simple and complex phrases and sentences. So understanding is little more than recognizing a succession of linguistic symbols with very rapid impact. But what appears on the surface to be "linguistically clear" may turn out to be a complex and almost impenetrable thing from a psycholinguistics perspective. Especially in research on the nervous system that is affected in the appearance of human language. So we see that they are weak in the appearance of speech because of their brain

Abstract

The Arabic language is the language of the world that Muslims use. Every person must teach Arabic in schools and universities, even though they have obstacles and problems that interfere without reaching the desired legitimate goal. Teaching the Arabic language has many difficulties, including the language itself, society, teacher, and learner. This research aims to know the model of the Arabic language environment at the Guidance Institute Semarang Central Java and its role in acquiring language skills. The researcher is based on the descriptive study. The method of data collection was conducted in a way of observation, interview and documents. As for the way to analyze the data using a descriptive analysis that deals with description and focus. And its results are the integrated environment that combines the artificial environment with the natural environment. As for its role, it is to create the linguistic atmosphere in the places that are in the school and the residence so that the teacher can fix the linguistic mistakes made by students and deepen the repetition and strengthening of the language that they got from the school and the residence and encourage their spirit and enthusiasm in applying the language

Abstract

This study aims to describe planning, implementation, evaluation of Arabic learning and their compatibility with the psychology of adolescent linguistic development in class XI of religious programs Sunan Pandanaran Islamic high school. This type of research is field research with qualitative descriptive methods. The result of the study indicate that the (1) Arabic reading and writing skills includes the preparation of a syllabus and plans for implementing learning at the beginning of the learning year. (2) The implementation of learning is carried out in three activities, namely the initial ativity (introduction), the core activities (exploration, elaboration and confirmation), and closing activities. (3) Learning evaluation includes implementation techniques, instruments and follow-up from the evaluation results. (4) comparative results state that the palnning, implementation and evaluation as a whole are in accordance with the psychology of adolescent linguistic development
