Abstract

This study examines the concept of the “Love-based Curriculum” initiated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia through the perspective of the prophetic hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The research focuses on identifying, classifying, and analyzing hadiths that represent the values of love for God (ḥablum minallāh), love for fellow human beings (ḥablum minannās), love for the environment, and love for the homeland. Employing a qualitative approach through a library-based study, this research applies the method of takhrīj al-ḥadīth, followed by sanad and matan criticism to assess the authenticity of the hadiths utilized. This study is conducted to address the existing gap in the development of Islamic education curricula that explicitly draw upon prophetic traditions as primary sources of educational values. The findings reveal that out of 54 identified hadith, the majority are classified as ṣaḥīḥ (authentic) and are appropriate to serve as normative foundations for formulating a value-based curriculum centered on love. These traditions demonstrate a strong correlation with the values of tolerance, empathy, ecological responsibility, and national spirit. The results underscore the urgency of integrating prophetic teachings into the design of an Islamic education curriculum that is more holistic, transformative, and humanistic. A hadith-based Love Curriculum holds substantial potential in shaping a learning ecosystem that not only fosters intellectual excellence but also cultivates moral integrity, strengthens social harmony, and promotes the development of a robust national character.

Abstract

This article examines the Quranic concept of nusyuz through Ibn Asyur’s al Tahrir wa al Tanwir and develops a maqasid oriented account for addressing marital conflict in contemporary Muslim families. The study adopts a qualitative library based method that closely reads Q 4.34 and Q 4.128 and triangulates classical fiqh writings thematic exegesis and recent scholarship on family law. The analysis shows that nusyuz is a relational breach that may be committed by either spouse and that Ibn Asyur proposes a gradual and ethically constrained sequence that begins with counsel then proceeds to separation of beds and only allows corrective action that must remain symbolic and non violent while prioritizing mediation whenever harm is likely. Reading the two verses together yields a symmetrical framework that protects dignity prevents harm and restores rights by aligning procedural steps with the objectives of justice compassion and public welfare. The article concludes that this maqasid based synthesis offers a text faithful and context sensitive basis for counseling adjudication and policy in Islamic family law and it recommends empirical evaluation in courts counseling services and community mediation to assess feasibility safeguards and effectiveness.

Abstract

Efforts to develop Islamic learning media that integrate Qur’anic values with local wisdom remain limited, even though Generation Z-as digital natives, and the main users of digital tool- still requires approaches that are relevant to both culturally grounded and religiously relevant. This study examines the philosophy of Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah (ABS-SBK) as a framework for aligning local wisdom with Qur’anic values, particularly through the utilization of Qur’anic verses in character building. The research seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of digital learning media, identify the implementation challenges, propose an integration model of the tafseer of Quran surah Al-‘Alaq with ABS-SBK, and analyze its implications for Islamic learning among Generation Z. A qualitative case study was conducted using an in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that integrating the tafsir of QS. Al-‘Alaq with the ABS-SBK philosophy fosters student engagement, supports contextualized learning, and reinforces the Minangkabau Islamic cultural identity. Challenges include infrastructure limitations, educators’ technological skills, and content validation processes. The proposed model combines thematic tafsir with ABS-SBK-based multimedia content, enhanced through gamification and digital storytelling. This study highlights the importance of collaboration among scholars, educators, and technology developers in designing innovative and value-based Islamic learning media for Generation Z.

Abstract

Qur’anic interpretation in Aceh has developed in tandem with shifting social, political, and cultural conditions, producing distinct exegetical profiles across historical periods. This study traces the evolution of interpretive methods in Aceh through hermeneutic and sociological lenses in order to show how the sacred text is understood, interpreted, and enacted in communal life. Using a qualitative design, the analysis applies a hermeneutic sociological approach to primary sources that include Abdurrauf as Singkili’s Tarjuman al Mustafid and contemporary Acehnese tafsir and sermon materials, supported by academic secondary literature. Findings indicate a trajectory from a Sufi and fiqh oriented profile that foregrounds spiritual and normative dimensions, to a rational modern turn disseminated through sermons and print media, and finally to a hermeneutic sociological approach that places the text in active dialogue with post conflict realities and the formalization of Sharia through qanun. The results show that methodological change is not linear but context responsive and that tafsir functions as a social practice that mediates norms, education, and public policy.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of taujih al-qiraat and its hermeneutical implications in Surah Yunus, focusing on how variations among the ten canonical Qur'anic readings generate layers of linguistic and theological meaning. It identifies forty-one loci of farsh al-huruf and verifies them through four parameters: rasm (orthographic framework), dabt (diacritical precision), lughawi (lexical plausibility), and nahwi/sarfi (grammatical and morphological validity). The research adopts a descriptive-analytical method integrating classical philology with modern linguistic verification to establish a transparent and replicable model of analysis. The results show that the variants in Surah Yunus function as a structured system of semantic plurality rather than random recitational differences. Ten representative loci reveal that phonetic variations preserve the rhythm of recitation, minor semantic variations influence rhetorical emphasis, and major semantic variations shape theological interpretation. These findings confirm that taujih al-qiraat serves as both a linguistic and hermeneutical framework linking structure and meaning in the Qur'an. The study concludes that the diversity of readings in Surah Yunus reflects divine intentionality within the boundaries of the Arabic language. By aligning classical verification with contemporary analysis, it offers a verifiable model for understanding how linguistic variation contributes to the Qur'an’s interpretive depth and theological coherence.
