Abstract

This paper presented the bandstop Koch fractal hexagonal loop frequency selective surface (FSS) for the X-band application. The simulated transmission coefficient response (S_21) had been obtained by using CST software. The proposed Koch fractal hexagonal loop FSS structure is highly insensitive towards angular stability and also incident polarization up to 60 degree , with deviation of resonant frequency,  f_r below than 1%. The parametric analysis on the effect of the periodicity, width, and height of the fractal FSS structure on the S_21 has been illustrated and discussed thoroughly.

Abstract

A design of novel bendable Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) structures has been presented in this paper in two selected of frequencies at 5G application. These designs started with a square patch shape and continued with the combination of circular and Jerusalem shape which resonate at a frequency of 18 GHz and 28 GHz. Details of the theory and the structures of AMCs are explained. The reflection phase, bandwidth, angular stability and dispersion diagram were studied. The simulated results plotted that the novel AMC has good bandwidth and size is reduced by 53 percent and 55 percent for both frequencies. Other than that, it is also proved that the novel AMC has a stable reflection phase and no band gap performs at the specific frequency. The good performances of this novel AMC make it useful in order to improve antenna’s performance.

Abstract

Filter is one of the key components of all signals processing elements. Both the FIR and IIR filter are used to reduce the unwanted signal in the original signal. Here discussing the FIR filter and design the efficient FIR filter using Dual Ripple Carry Adder (RCA) based SQRT-carry select adder (CSLA). Many components present in the FIR filter, one of the main component is Adder. Adder is used to combine the signal for avoid the noise occurring in the output. Proposed a Dual RCA based SQRT-CSLA for speed up the filtering process. The filter performance can be analyzed by Xilinx simulation environment.

Abstract

In the midst of technological advance where everything is connected via the internet, IoT is emerging as a potential solution to everything, ranging from health wearables to smart city. An RFEH power management system has promising benefits that could further improve the powering of IoT devices as it has potential for clean energy as well as other advantages which consists of a rectifier, bandgap reference and LDO as the main core. However, the main challenge is supplying clean and low noise power to sensitive circuits such as low power sensors, VCOs and PLLs. A high PSRR bandgap reference that rejects noise at the power supply is needed so that the circuitry powered by RFEH systems would be able to function properly. This paper presents a bandgap with MOS PTAT and CTAT extraction achieving a PSRR of -81dB at a Vref of 0.415V was designed on 130nm CMOS technology targeting IoT RFEH devices that operate at sub-threshold and near-threshold region that exhibits improvement over the base design.

Abstract

Spurred by a global energy crisis, the use of renewable distributed generation (DG) with solar photovoltaic (PV) energy, micro-hydro power, and biomass power are gaining momentum and play major role in Bali’s distribution system as an alternative distribution system planning option. If distributed generation planning is optimal by selected optimization of multi-objective function under certain operating constraints and then their site and size are also selected optimally, the penetration of DGs is potentially beneficial. This paper would review techno-economic model objective, voltage profile improvement and power losses constraints as well as optimization based model using particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm application in Bali’s distributed generation planning.

Abstract

Crowd simulations have many benefits over real-life research such as in computer games, architecture and entertainment. One of the key elements in this study is to include elements of decision-making into the crowd. The aim of this simulator is to simulate the features of an intelligent agent to escape from crowded environments especially in one-way corridor, two-way corridor and four-way intersection. The addition of the graphical user interface enables intuitive and fast handling in all settings and features of the Intelligent Agent Simulator and allows convenient research in the field of intelligent behaviour in massive crowd. This paper describes the development of a simulator by using the Open Graphics Library (OpenGL), starting from the production of training data, the simulation process, until the simulation results. The Social Force Model (SFM) is used to generate the motion of agents and the Support Vector Machine (SVM) is used to predict the next step for intelligent agent.

Abstract

Supplier selection is essential to the business. The risks posed by suppliers will have a significant impact on the company's performance. Each business has distinct supplier features to mitigate this.These characteristics are divided into criteria in supplier selection. In this study, the criteria in supplier selection will be weighted by best worst method (BWM) and comparing the three ranking methods, complex proportional assessment (COPRAS), multi-objective optimization berdasarkan analisis rasio (MOORA) and technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS). The sample in this study is an ABC manufacturing company engaged in mining from Indonesia. From the results of the study, there were 16 criteria using the Delphi Method. These criteria are divided into four main criteria, namely service, quality, cost and time. From the results of weighting BWM, the price sub criteria on cost criteria have the greatest weight for ABC companies. The results of the weighting are then carried out by supplier ranking by comparing the COPRAS, MOORA and TOPSIS approaches. In comparing these three methods, approaches are used based on accuracy and complexity. The COPRAS method has the highest accuracy and lowest complexity according to the ABC company.

Abstract

The Direct Form FIR channel is utilized for DSP application where the channel request is settled. For the most part this channel devours more range and power. Abstract

Nowadays, in most of the modern database applications, lots of critical queries and tasks cannot be completely addressed by machine. Crowd-sourcing database has become a new paradigm for harness human cognitive abilities to process these computer hard tasks. In particular, those problems  that are difficult for machines but easier for humans can be solved better than ever, such as entity resolution, fuzzy matching for predicates and joins, and image recognition. Additionally, crowd-sourcing database allows performing database operators on incomplete data as human workers can be involved to provide estimated values during run-time. Skyline queries which received formidable attention by database community in the last decade, and exploited in a variety of applications such as multi-criteria decision making and decision support systems. Various works have been accomplished address the issues of skyline query in crowd-sourcing database. This includes a database with full and partial complete data. However, we argue that processing skyline queries with partial incomplete data in crowd-sourcing database has not received an appropriate attention. Therefore, an efficient approach processing skyline queries with partial incomplete data in crowd-sourcing database is needed. This paper attempts to present an efficient model tackling the issue of processing skyline queries in incomplete crowd-sourcing database. The main idea of the proposed model is exploiting the available data in the database to estimate the missing values. Besides, the model tries to explore the crowd-sourced database in order to provide more accurate results, when local database failed to provide precise values. In order to ensure high quality result could be obtained, certain factors should be considered for worker selection to carry out the task such as workers quality and the monetary cost. Other critical factors should be considered such as time latency to generate the results.
