Abstract

Clean water is one of the important components needed in the process of making tofu. Water sources in the city of Bengkulu, whether managed by PDAM or from dug wells with a depth of less than ten meters, have poor water quality. This will affect to the quality of tofu produced. And wiil be affect to the tofu bussiness development at Bengkulu city in the future time. One alternative solution to solve this problem was designed water purifier using solar cell technology with microcontroller to overcome the clean and hygienic water supply more economical. Specific targets to be achieved in this activity are patents products with affordable raw materials and prices. The results of the manufacturing of the purification module show the LCD reading of the water quality parameters used for the preparation of tofu prior to treatment using TDS sensor detection and pH sensor are 5,885 and 8,320. While the LCD reading after the treatment using TDS sensor detection and pH sensors are 4,901 and 7,763. Further laboratory test results on the performance of water purification module for the manufacture of tofu application showed an increase of TSS level. The next result, amount of the total Coli content is 551/100mL at the before and become 28/100mL at the after. Meanwhile, the conductivity is being increased from 459 at the before and become 469 at the after. Keywords: tofu business group, water purifier, solar cell technology, microcontroller.

Abstract

 The level of literacy in Indonesian is very low. Science literacy becomes very important for students to have as provisions to face the challenges of 21st-century development, including learning, innovating, critical thinking, problem-solving, creative, communication, and collaboration. Information, media, and technology literacy are becoming very important. The purpose of this activity can improve (1) teacher understanding of ICT media for literacy learning,(2) students' knowledge about animal conservation using ICT-based literacy media, and (3) student responses about ICT-based literacy media. The target audiences are (1) teacher, and (2) grade IV A and B students from State Elementary School Number 07 in Bengkulu City. The activity was carried out on the thematic learning theme 3 Caring for Living Things, Subtheme 2 Diversity of Living Things in My Environment using the ICT Based Project Based Learning model. The methods used: presentations, Focus Group Discussion, simulations and demonstrations, and classroom learning practices. The instruments used a teacher questionnaire, student responses, and essay questions. The conclusions obtained: (1) the percentage for teacher understanding of ICT literacy is still low, about 54.55%, (2) students with good categories about animal life knowledge by 93.1%, and (3) student interest on ICT learning increase about 84.62%. Suggestions given to support the successful implementation for the literacy program in elementary schools, are: (1) teachers should be able to use ICT-based learning media both on- line and off-line; (2) teachers design an assessment of students' high-level thinking knowledge.

Abstract

The aim of IbIKK programme on cultivating pangasius fish in tarpaulin pond specifically for nursing the fish is to develop the pangasius aquaculture in Aceh Province. Therefore, by this programme, society and students could know the method of pangasius cultivating. Moreover, the society could recognize pangasius fish for both its taste and its advantages. This nursing activity is conducted for six months. During production time in activity of nursing pangasius fish in tarpaulin pond, the growth of fish reached 350-400 grams and its survival rate was up to 80%. Furthermore, this IbIKK programme was also carried out for student’s activities such as field work practice, research, and practical in learning activity.Keywords: pangasius fish, tarpaulin pond, cultivating

Abstract

Students of SMK Negeri 5 Bengkulu are given batik skills provision in Textile Craft Competence since 1995. The quality of students’ batik production, especially batik Basurek, has been recognized nationally. Traditional batik skills can be coupled with insight into computer graphics. As the generations facing the global market, batik craftsmen are charged to be more creative using technology in developing their business. Implementation method of the community service program is the method of knowledge transfer to the students and applying the concept of graphic design by using Adobe Photoshop. Direct practice using the computer and debriefing between instructor and participants help participants in understanding of training material. Evaluation are conducted by comparing the results of observations before and after training. From the results of the evaluation we concluded that trainees are already able to understand the basic functions of the software Adobe Photoshop and using it to design batik. Keywords: adobe photoshop, batik basurek, graphic design, senior high school student

Abstract

The purpose of the program IbM are: (a) improving the knowledge and skills of the public about waste palm oil and corn into alternative energy approach to science and technology applied, (b) train waste processing palm oil and corn as an energy, (c) accompanying ways of processing, manufacturing and marketing of oil and corn waste products on an industrial scale household. The method of implementation used action research includes four stages, namely: program planning, execution, observation and evaluation, and reflection. In planning the activities conducted debriefing, the socialization of the target audience and the preparation of training programs. On the implementation of the program, carried out the implementation of program activities that include improvement of knowledge and skills, demonstrations and coaching as well as technology training applied sewage treatment production of palm oil and corn for processing into biogas, briquettes, organic fertilizers and various handicrafts of high economic value. The evaluation was done to see the extent to which program activities have been implemented, while the reflection conducted to determine the deficiency or excess of the activities that have been carried out in order to establish recommendations for the survival or development of subsequent activities. From some of the activities that have been done, the community was very enthusiastic in participating in these activities, especially the installation of a simple biogas filling material made from oil palm empty fruit bunches and cow dung. The main constraints of this activity is the difficulty of marketing the craft because the economic condition of the majority of people of middle so that they concentrate on fulfilling their basic needs. Keywords: palm oil, corn waste, biogas, biodiversification

Abstract

Lada perdu merupakan solusi dalam budidaya lada tanpa tiang panjat. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah untuk membuat bibit tanaman lada perdu sebagai percontohan bagi masyarakat di Desa Pulau Panggung Kabupaten Kaur Provinsi Bengkulu untuk mengatasi kendala pada tanaman lada tiang panjat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan pembuatan bibit lada perdu di Desa Pulau Panggung, Kabupaten Kaur. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peserta dalam pembuatan bibit lada perdu memiliki antusias tinggi. Keberhasilan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah peserta dapat memilih cabang buah sebagai bahan tanam lada perdu. Keberhasilan cabang buah yang ditanam ditandai dengan adanya kuncup daun yang terbentuk. Kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian adalah pembuatan bibit lada perdu dapat dijadikan sebagai teknik baru dalam budidaya lada.

Abstract

Kabawetan sub-district is one of the central areas of plantation, agriculture and animal husbandry in the province of Bengkulu. In running their farm, farmers still use conventional system, especially the use of anorganic fertilizer (chemical factory) and overused pesticide. Besides as a farmer, almost in every village people also seek beef cattle and dairy cattle. Farm waste already started causing environmental problems for society, while on the other hand they have difficulty in getting the fertilizer for business continuity (horticultural crops). With input from the farmers, we agreed to offer a solution using animal waste into organic fertilizer. The form of such activities carry out: education and counseling about environmental friendly agriculture; as well as training in the making Bokashi and biourine. Later stage is making plots experiment to apply organic fertilizer produced vegetable plants. This community service activity has been done and able to reduce farmers' dependence on chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides, and also revive local knowledge in farming. From the aspect of production, horticultural products (vegetables) produced by farmers are more environmental friendly. Keywords: Horticulture, Bokashi, Biourine, Organic Farming

Abstract

The People of Pondok Kelapa mostly work as farm laborers, fishermen and farmers. People are still using raw wood fuel in cooking that has a negative impact in terms of health. LPG fuel is actually good for cooking, but it is relatively expensive. For that need to look for alternative fuels made from materials that are easy to obtain. This service activities such as training for making biogas from cow dung in the village of Pondok Kelapa. Biogas is a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide gas derived from anaerobic fermentation of organic substrates. In this activity, firstly conducted a survey and preparation. Furthermore held counseling, and the last is a core activities including the tool installation and biogas production. This activity produces biogas which initially resulted in a rather small flame. But after his gas collected, the gas produced is large enough. Abstract

Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta Vocational School is located at Jl. Tukangan No.1, Tegal Panggung, Danurejan, Yogyakarta City, Special Region of Yogyakarta 55212. Muhammadiyah 2 Vocational School Yogyakarta has 3 departments. Department of network and computer engineering, accounting, and office administration. At present there are 325 students of Muhammadiyah Vocational High School 2 Yogyakarta. The latest curriculum used by Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta Vocational School is the 2017 curriculum. Using this curriculum it is expected that students have creativity and entrepreneurial product expertise competencies. In order to achieve these competencies students of class X SMK obtain digital simulation and communication subjects. In this lesson students learn communication in online networks, online communication applications, virtual classes, virtual classroom learning, video presentations, video presentations for branding and marketing, visual simulations, preproduction stage visual simulation processing applications, visual stage simulation processing applications production, stage visual simulation processing applications, postproduction, digital books, digital book formats, and digital book publications. Therefore, to support students having these competencies, internet marketing or online marketing is needed. Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta Vocational School has a business charity to support students' abilities in the form of computer and laptop services. The computer and laptop service services are located next to Muhammadiyah 2 Vocational School in Yogyakarta. The results of these computer and laptop service services have not been maximized due to lack of marketing (marketing). Students of Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta Vocational School after graduating in large part did not continue to the undergraduate level, they chose to work immediately. But the Regional Minimum Wage for vocational school graduates is relatively low, therefore they need additional income by entrepreneurship. The existence of these problems, the authors provide solutions with internet marketing training to support the competence of the students' expertise. This training is also useful for students of Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta Vocational School to supplement their income by entrepreneurship using the use of internet marketing as a promotional media. Keywords: internet marketing, promotion, entrepreneurship, marketing, online
