Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic that spread throughout the world in a short time made health-care workers work harder as hundreds of millions of people were affected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and more than four million people died from 2020 to 2021. The burden and risk of health workers is increasing when COVID-19 patients are crowded in health facility, compared to the workload and risks before the pandemic. Risk perception of health care workers affecting their mental and physical health is very important to accelerate the response to the pandemic. This study aims to review literatures that discusses the risk perception of health care workers in dealing with the diseases at health facilities. The research method uses structured library search steps in Pubmed and ProQuest databases with PICOS in the form of health care workers who treat COVID-19 patients in primary, secondary, tertiary health facilities, as well as their risk perceptions of COVID-19. Results of the study obtained seven articles that matched the researcher's criteria, where it is known that health care workers in health facilities, especially general practitioners who treat patients in COVID-19 services, lack of access to and training related to personal protective equipment, have a high risk perception of COVID-19. There are no articles showing differences in perceptions of health care workers in COVID-19 service rooms which are further detailed, such as differences in perceptions of health care workers in COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 inpatient rooms.

Abstract

The Covid-19 case has become a pandemic and a major problem throughout the world, especially Indonesia due to its very easy and fast spread from person to person. These medical problems directly affect social life, especially legal issues that cause friction between the confidentiality of patient data as a form of private law and the disclosure of public information as a form of modern society's demands for open, actual, and transparent information. This research is a study that reviews normative juridical by means of analysis and synthesis of deductive conclusions from various statements in various secondary data sources which are all relevant and related to the main issues discussed in this journal with the aim of obtaining an overview of legal reviews and comparative studies related to this issue. . A literature search reveals the principle of legal certainty and legal protection for the community, especially in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The status of medical records is also a part of private legal aspects that are confidential and may not be disseminated to the general public without the permission of the owner or legislation. However, in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, accompanied by the public's encouragement of public information disclosure, the principle of public interest must be guaranteed by the rule of law, by demonstrating a strong commitment to the principle of "nothing is above the law". Therefore, good governance is a must to create excellent service to the community. Further implementation of this policy by the Government as the regulator is important in order to facilitate public interests by not injuring individual rights.

Abstract

According to the legislation, the hospital's legal responsibility to uphold the patient's rights cannot be divorced from its obligations to the patient. In actuality, the increasing number of Covid-19 instances in Indonesia has left hospitals unable to handle patients in need of therapy, particularly those with severe and critical diseases requiring intensive care units. With bed occupancy rates (BOR) in almost all hospitals above 85 percent, the community must recognize that hospitals must prioritize care for patients with moderate, severe, or life-threatening diseases. In any event, the Covid-19 epidemic had an effect on the quality of patient care received in hospitals. The study examined hospitals' legal obligation for preserving patient rights during the Covid-19 outbreak using normative juridical research methods and empirical evidence. The study's findings suggest that, despite constraints in providing great health care to patients, hospitals must protect patients' rights to safety and security while in the hospital. As a result, it is vital to construct a legal framework that protects the rights of health care employees and hospitals delivering services to patients during this pandemic, with a special emphasis on labor standards, occupational health and safety standards, and labor social security standards. The government must assist in terms of facilities and infrastructure by increasing the number of emergency hospitals to accommodate the anticipated increase in Covid-19 patients.

Abstract

The globe has been stunned since the end of 2019 by the emergence of the COVID-19 virus, which spreads extremely swiftly. Indonesia revealed two positive instances of COVID-19 in early March, beginning with the nation of origin, the People's Republic of China. The epidemic of COVID-19 poses a threat to the Indonesian state. The government has taken numerous measures to prevent and control the spread of this virus, including regulating activities, maintaining a safe distance, wearing masks, and washing hands, as well as producing vaccinations. The government is undertaking this effort as a sort of state defense in the fight against COVID-19. This research establishes that COVID-19 is a social disaster that affects people from all walks of life and that one option for containing the Covid-19 outbreak is for the public to participate in the vaccination campaign planned by the authorities as a form of state defense.
