Abstract

Employee salary management is becoming an important aspect in the fashion industry. The current payroll system in Fashion Boutique still uses slow and inefficient manual calculations. Therefore, a website was created to manage employee payroll. This study aims to optimize salary management through a web-based Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach. The RAD method was chosen because it is responsive to rapid business changes. By conducting needs analysis, design, implementation, and testing, an efficient payroll management system integrated with web access was successfully developed. Trials are conducted with black box testing, device testing, desktop browser, and end user. Payroll websites have proven to match user expectations, working well across multiple devices and browsers. The results of this study contribute to improving operational efficiency and accuracy of employee salary management in the context of a dynamic fashion industry, especially in Fashion Fashion Boutiques.

Abstract

As technology develops, demand increases, and the need for production increases, the layout of factory facilities must be evaluated. PT XYZ is a company that focuses on the production of the most comprehensive fertiliser. Therefore, warehouses are needed in large factory areas and well-designed factory facilities to improve performance and customer satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to propose a warehouse facility layout to mnimize material handling distance. To solve this placement problem, this study uses the classbased storage method based on ABC analysis. After making a proposal by changing a little storage area and grouping materials into classes, the ABC classification results obtained were 13 materials for class A, 2 materials for class B and 1 material for class C, and obtained a total displacement distance in the existing layout of 603.2 m and the proposed layout of 529.2 m, a decrease in total distance of 74 m.

Abstract

Coal Handling System (CHS) is the main system of Coal Fired Power Plant (CFPP), managing coal transportation from Vessel by Ship Unloader to coal yard through belt conveyor (BC) and Stacker/Reclaimer (S/R), then transported to Silo, known as forwarding process. CHS involves various large electric motors. The unwisdom of operating these motors would result in wasteful electrical energy consumption. To assess the energy management, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) provides Energy Management System (EnMS) tools based on ISO 50001 industrial sectors. This tool identifies that operational patterns and maintenance activities have a significant impact on the energy consumption. Technically using Integrated SKF Calculation, applying the scenario of direct replacement conveyor rollers aged more than 2 years by only 30%, saves 103,144.20 kWH per cycle, equal to IDR 102,807,951, rather than replacing rollers when broken only. Meanwhile, Lean Six Sigma concept in increasing cycle performance, could save a monthly 594,984 kWH, equal to IDR 593,044,189.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the main objective of evaluating and improving Information Technology (IT) Governance in an Indonesian media company facing significant challenges due to digital transformation. In the methodological approach, the study utilized the COBIT 2019 framework, involving planning, field implementation, reporting, and follow-up processes. The results of the capability level evaluation revealed a gap between actual achievements and desired targets, especially in the aspects of Managed Innovation (APO04) and Managed IT Changes (BAI06). The implications of these findings emphasize the need for improvements in activities related to managed innovation and IT change. The conclusion of this research underscores the urgency of effective IT governance in navigating the dynamics of digital transformation. It is hoped that these findings will serve as a guide for media companies and other organizations to formulate robust IT policies, enhance sustainable operations, and drive innovation in this digital era.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic led to a temporary reduction in global energy usage, offering a glimpse of environmental benefits. However, subsequent rebounding energy demands underscored the need for cleaner alternatives. This paper examines renewable energy options for Indonesia, focusing on South Sulawesi. The region boasts significant solar irradiation and hydropower potential, with biomass also offering viable energy generation. While wind power is less potent, certain areas with high wind speeds could benefit. Transitioning to renewable sources could mitigate environmental and health concerns, addressing pollution and temperature rise. By leveraging these abundant resources, South Sulawesi could secure sustainable energy while minimizing adverse impacts on both the environment and public health.

Abstract

Dalam menyediakan layanan yang efisien dan berkualitas untuk Masyarakat pada sektor transportasi kereta api wilayah daerah operasional 8 Surabaya, perlu dilakukan langkah untuk memenuhi harapan pengguna kereta api subsidi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh cross validation terhadap metode Multinomial Naïve Bayes dalam analisis sentimen menggunakan metode 10-fold cross validation. Langkah-langkah preprocessing data dilakukan sehingga didapatkan data  sebanyak 1123 komentar dengan dua kelas yaitu kelas positif sebanyak 778 komentar dan negatif sebanyak 345 komentar. Analisis dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali dengan proses validasi 10-fold cross validation dan pengujian Multinomial Naïve Bayes. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian Multinomial Naïve Bayes menggunakan data uji sebanyak 225 data, didapatkan 14 data positif dan 160 data negatif yang ditinjau dari performa pengujian terbaik pada parameter nilai validasi fold = 1. Hasil akhir didapatkan nilai akurasi 77%, presisi 81%, recall 77%, dan f1 score 71%, yang mengungkapkan bahwa model efektif dalam mengklasifikasi komentar negatif dari kesluruhan data uji.

Abstract

Hydrological analysis require accurate rainfall data, which can be challenging. High-resolution satellite data on rainfall can be a solution. This study examines the accuracy of rainfall data in the Kuranji watershed by comparing it with satellite rainfall data from TRMM and GPM. Uncorrected and corrected data were assessed using validation techniques such as RMSE, NSE, R, and RB. The results show that rainfall can be accurately detected using GPM and TRMM satellite data. With the largest correlation value of 0.962, the GPM IMERG-F data shows superior performance. Therefore, this study recommends that GPM IMERG-F data be used for hydrological studies in the Kuranji watershed, especially in areas that do not have observational rainfall data.

Abstract

Jeruk siam menjadi salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang memegang peranan utama dalam sektor pertanian Indonesia dengan jumlah produksi yang mencapai 2 juta ton setiap tahunnya. Namun, produksi jeruk siam rentan terhadap serangan hama dan penyakit, terutama pada bagian daun. Penyakit yang umum terjadi termasuk Blackspot Leaf, Canker Leaf, Greening Leaf, Powdery Mildew, dan Citrus Leafminer. Pada umunya identifikasi penyakit pada tanaman jeruk dilakukan secara manual sehingga penentuan penyakit cenderung subyektif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan solusi otomatis dalam mendeteksi penyakit pada daun jeruk. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi penyakit yang menyerang daun jeruk menggunakan metode deep learning yaitu CNN dengan arsitektur EfficientNetB3. Dataset yang digunakan adalah citra penyakit daun jeruk yang diambil langsung dari kebun jeruk yang dibagi menjadi 6 kelas seperti pada penyakit yang disebutkan di atas. Hasil penelitian menggunakan skenario epoch 10 dengan optimizer Adam memperoleh hasil akurasi terbaik yaitu 0,98 (98%).

Abstract

The implementation of post-harvest treatments and good horticultural shed management enhances the yield and quality of products, supporting horticultural competitiveness. However, determining the maturity of pineapple fruits still relies on traditional methods, lacks consistency, and has the potential to cause financial losses. Selecting and classifying pineapples according to standard maturity indices can reduce yield losses and maintain quality, meeting the needs of local and international markets. Research on pineapple maturity classification focuses on deep learning, utilizing data from smallholder farms, and specifically targeting the pineapple body without the crown in 4 maturity classes. The MobileNetV2 classification model with geometric and photometric augmentation achieves 93% accuracy, compared to AlexNet and VGG16. The research aims to improve agricultural efficiency, assist farmers, and provide insights into pineapple maturity detection and classification for local and international markets. Evaluation experiments provide an understanding of the model's performance in detecting and classifying pineapple fruit maturity.

Abstract

Reusing exhaust gas based on potential energy that has not been completely burned can absorb heat in the combustion chamber thereby increasing the performance of diesel engines. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using an EGR venturi scrubber on the performance of a single cylinder diesel engine. This research was carried out on a single cylinder diesel motorbike with a capacity of 200cc. Testing was carried out using an EGR venturi scrubber with valve variations of 10%, 20% and 30% compared to standard (0% EGR). Test data was obtained through VDAS technology software by loading the water entering the dynamometer at the test installation. The research results showed that testing using the EGR venturi scrubber on diesel motorbikes had an influence on engine performance. The best performance was obtained by using a venturi scrubber with a valve opening of 30%, where at a maximum rotation of 3000 rpm the torque was 6.57 Nm, the effective power was 2110 Watts, the average effective pressure was 4.72 bar, the specific fuel consumption was 0 .0549 kg/kWh, and a thermal efficiency of 58.42%.
