Abstract

This research based on the many users and information that available on YouTube, one of which is diet YouTuber called Yulia Baltschun. Yulia is a diet influencer with 2.5 million subscribers who provides diet information with interesting explanations and refutations of many diet myths. This study aims to determine the correlation between the quality of information on Yulia Baltschun's YouTube channel, by the indicators are accuracy, timeliness and relevance of information with subscribers’s attitude. Researchers used quantitative research methods by distributing questionnaires to 100 samples determined by purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. The population in this research is Yulia Baltschun's YouTube channel subscribers. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between the qualities of information on Yulia Baltschun's YouTube channel with subscribers’s attitude. Based on the results of Rank Spearman's correlation analysis, it shows that the quality of information on Yulia Baltschun's YouTube channel has a very strong affinity with a correlation coefficient is 0.722. In addition to each indicator, accuracy has a strong correlation with a correlation coefficient is 0.546, timeliness has a moderate correlation with a correlation coefficient is 0.470, and information relevance has a strong correlation with a correlation coefficient is 0.689. It can be concluded that Yulia Baltschun's YouTube channel has quality information with accurate, timely, and relevance indicators related with subscribers’s attitude.

Abstract

Academic achievement directly or indirectly (through perceived usefulness mediation). influenced by the availability of electronic information sources (e-resources). This study aims to determine the significant value of probability: (1) The effect of electronic information sources (e-resources) on perceived usefulness: (2) The effect of perceived usefulness on academic achievement and (3) The direct or indirect influence of electronic information sources (e-resources) ) library on academic achievement. Furthermore, the results of this study are expected to be used as a recommendation material for conceptual formulation in improving student academic achievement through electronic information sources (e-resources) and perceived usefulness. This quantitative research consists of three variables including: electronic information sources (e-resources) as the independent variable, academic achievement as the dependent variable and functioning as an intervening variable, namely perceived usefulness. 100 samples of data were taken by probability from a population of 134. The data analysis used included the classic assumption test, the t hypothesis test and the Determinant (R2) test through path analysis. The results of the study show that: (1) Electronic information sources (e-resources) have a significant effect on perceived usefulness) as indicated by the probability p-value of 0.000 with a t-value of 6,757 which is less than 0.05 (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05); (2) Perceived usefulness has a significant effect on academic achievement with a t-value of 4,579 and a probability of less than 0.05 (p-value = 0.000 <0.05); (3) So directly electronic information sources (e-resources) have a significant effect on academic achievement by 24.2%. with a p-value probability of 0.000 with a t-count value of 6,757 less than 0.05 (p-value = 0.000 <0.05) Likewise, indirectly (through perceived usefulness mediation) a significant effect on academic achievement is shown with a t value of 3.78294426 with a std error of 0.0812436 and a significant probability value of 0.00015498 p-value of 30.734%.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the extent of the efforts to preserve the Bayt Al-Quran Museum in maintaining the sacred collection of the Al-Quran Mushaf. This research is qualitative research using historical and political approaches. The historical approach is used to reveal the development and dynamics of the Al-Quran Mushaf in Indonesia. The political approach is used to see the extent of the government's role in supporting Al-Quran culture with the establishment of Al-Quran museums in Indonesia and the Indonesian Standard Mushaf. The primary data in this study is the collection of Al-Quran manuscripts at the Bayt Al-Quran Museum. While the secondary data of this research is authoritative literature that examines relevant topics in the form of oral information, books, articles, and news as well. Primary data were collected through field observations at the Baytul Quran Museum in Jakarta. From the findings and discussion above, it can be concluded that the Museum reflects the nation's culture, as well as the Bayt Al-Quran Museum which is clear evidence of the high Islamic and Al-Quran culture that is touched with Indonesian culture. Therefore, the existing culture must be preserved with preservation efforts through conservation and so on so that its existence can be enjoyed by all generations from year to year. Preservation of the collection of Al-Quran manuscripts is the same as the preservation in the library because the material being protected is the same, namely paper which has the potential to be damaged by time.

Abstract

E-Government is a government-issued policy to increase access to open information for digital-based communities. Higher education through the Higher Education Archives Institute seeks to implement an e-government system by joining the National Archival Information Network (JIKN) and the National Archival Information System (SIKN). On the other hand, to implement this, Higher Education Archives Institutions need to digitize their previously conventional archives. Old media has become digital, the results of which can be accessed by the public. Digitizing archives is one of the tasks of the Higher Education Archives Institution to provide information on the track record of higher education, starting from its founding to its development. This study aims to analyze the management of digitization of archives carried out by the Archives Office of the University of North Sumatra in supporting the implementation of e-Government and the utilization of an information network system that is used as an archive access portal. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach which aims to obtain an overview of archive digitization management activities at the Archives Office of the University of North Sumatra. The results showed that digitizing the archives of the University of North Sumatra was carried out by transferring vital historical archives contained in photographs, cassette tapes, and VHS tapes, Betamax (old media). Then the University of North Sumatra Archives became a member of JIKN and SIKN to support the implementation of e-Government. This study recommends that archival research researchers start to create a grand design for digitizing archives with high value as a source of knowledge. Then, this research will be helpful for policymakers and all stakeholders to manage the digitization of university archives.

Abstract

Preservation is a process or way of protection and damage. This research was conducted at the Aceh Manuscript Rumoh Library (PRMA). This study aims to determine the strategies and challenges of preserving manuscripts in the Aceh manuscript house library. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used by observation, interviews, and documentation. Researchers conducted interviews with one librarian who manages PRMA. The results of the study found that the preservation was carried out by PRMA by carrying out physical preservation and content preservation. Preservation of manuscripts is carried out by carrying out maintenance, conservation and restoration. Damage to manuscripts is caused by damage factors such as biological factors, physical factors, chemical factors, humans, and natural disasters. The strategy undertaken by PRMA is to continue to improve room cleanliness, provide equipment, facilities, and also attend seminars or training for library managers. The challenge for PRMA in carrying out conservation is the constraints on facilities, tools, and materials. Not all librarians are experts at preserving, so libraries need to recruit employees who are capable of preserving it so that the treasures can be enjoyed and used for a long time. Digitalization or media transfer is also a challenge for libraries. By transferring media, the information contained in the manuscript can be used and the value of the information is maintained.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the alumni engagement program in order to improve the academic quality of the study program. This study uses an exploratory method with a qualitative approach.. Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with alumni and interviews with the head of the Library Science Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, were used to collect data. Data analysis was carried out in stages, including data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings revealed that alumni of the Library Science Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, were involved in a variety of academic and non-academic programs, which were carried out by fellow alumni, active students, and those working with study programs. These initiatives allow alumni to stay connected to their alma mater. However, numerous programs did not run as anticipated, and other activities were unsustainable. This is because program implementation requires collaboration. As a result, the alumni involvement program in increasing the quality of the Library Science Study Program at UIN Jakarta has not been fully utilized.

Abstract

Books are the windows to the world, by reading books, a lot of new knowledge can be gained. However, it is unfortunate that as time goes by, people's interest in reading is declining. One of the reasons is known to be the rapid development of technology which makes people lazy because they are too dependent on technology. However, technology can also be utilized to promote reading. The results of the analysis of 131 videos with #BookTokIndonesia show that Tere Liye is the most talked about author, especially with his book “Hujan”. The book “Laut Bercerita” became the most popular, with the tendency for content producers to favour fiction books with sad plots. The themes of community and reader identity came up frequently, showing the similarities between them. The majority of video themes did not correlate strongly with the number of likes and comments. ABSTRAK  Buku adalah jendela dunia, dengan membaca buku, banyak pengetahuan baru yang dapat diperoleh. Namun, sangat disayangkan bahwa seiring berjalannya waktu, minat membaca orang-orang semakin menurun. Salah satu penyebabnya diketahui adalah karena pesatnya perkembangan teknologi yang membuat manusia menjadi malas karena terlalu bergantung pada teknologi. Walau begitu, teknologi ternyata juga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mempromosikan kegiatan membaca. Kemunculan #BookTokIndonesia menjadi harapan bagi bangsa Indonesia karena ternyata cukup banyak orang yang aktif dalam komunitas tersebut Hasil analisis terhadap 131 video dengan #BookTokIndonesia menunjukkan bahwa Tere Liye adalah penulis yang paling banyak dibicarakan, terutama dengan bukunya "Hujan". Buku "Laut Bercerita" menjadi yang paling populer, dengan kecenderungan produser konten menyukai buku fiksi dengan plot sedih. Tema komunitas dan identitas pembaca sering muncul, menunjukkan kesamaan di antara mereka. Mayoritas tema video tidak berkorelasi kuat dengan jumlah likes dan comments.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts and obstacles of Candi Ilmu Library in fostering a culture of literacy in children in Candirejo Village, Ponggok District, Blitar Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection process uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. For data analysis includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study explain that the efforts made by Candi Ilmu Library to foster a culture of literacy are by recruiting competent members using Facebook social media and direct invitations by the library, providing services to the community in the form of circulation services, reading in place, writing guidance, reference services to entertainment services for children, in addition to performing services Candi Ilmu Library also promotes using social media methods, direct contact, public relations, and conducts collection management to make it easier for children to retrieve library materials. The efforts made by Candi Ilmu Library to foster a culture of literacy in children are supported by innovations in the form of work programs and regulations. The work program includes competitions, social education, academic support activities, and training that supports reading literacy, cultural literacy and science literacy. However, in carrying out these efforts, Candi Ilmu Library is constrained by the quality of volunteers, collections that have not developed and are not in accordance with the needs of adult users, budget funds that cannot maximize work programs, and also undisciplined users.   ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya dan kendala Perpustakaan Candi Ilmu dalam menumbuhkan budaya literasi pada anak di Desa Candirejo, Kecamatan Ponggok, Kabupaten Blitar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Untuk analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa upaya yang dilakukan oleh Perpustakaan Candi Ilmu untuk menumbuhkan budaya literasi ialah dengan merekrut anggota-anggota yang kompeten dengan menggunakan media sosia Facebook dan ajakan secara langsung oleh pihak perpustakaan, memberikan layanan kepada masyarakat berupa layanan sirkulasi, baca ditempat, bimbingan menulis, layanan referensi hingga layanan hiburan untuk anak-anak, selain melakukan layanan Perpustakaan Candi Ilmu juga melakukan promosi dengan menggunakan metode media sosial, kontak langsung, hubungan masyarakat, serta melakukan pengelolaan koleksi untuk mempermudah anak-anak melakukan temu kembali bahan pustaka. Upaya yang dimiliki oleh Perpustakaan Candi Ilmu guna menumbuhkan budaya literasi pada anak didukung dengan adanya inovasi yang berupa program kerja dan juga peraturan. Program kerja tersebut meliputi lomba-lomba, edukasi sosial, kegiatan pendukung akademik, dan pelatihan yang mendukung literasi baca, literasi budaya serta literasi sains. Namun, dalam menjalankan upaya tersebut Perpustakaan Candi Ilmu terkendala pada kualitas relawan, koleksi yang belom berkembang dan belom sesuai dengan kebutuhan pemustaka dewasa, anggaran dana yang belom bisa memaksimalkan program kerja, dan juga para pemustaka yang kurang disiplin.

Abstract

Literacy has an important role for the community in discovering certain information, one of which is history. Historical literacy is a part of literacy in which the historical literacy is able to recognize the values and information within the past. The objectives of this study were: 1) to find out on how the Tapak Jejak Kadhiri Community developed the historical literacy to the citizens of Kediri, 2) to know the supporting and inhibiting factors of Tapak Jejak Kadhiri Community in developing historical literacy. This study utilized descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this study were interview, observation and documentation. Whereas the data analysis used the Miles and Huberman method. The results of this study indicated that the Tapak Jejak Kadhiri Community has several activities to develop historical literacy, namely having a reading gallery, opening reading booths, exhibitions, visiting ancient sites, publishing sites through Facebook and YouTube, screen printing kawi script t-shirts, kawi script online classes, and organizing inter-community activities. In addition, the supporting factors are getting book donations, community support and receptiveness, and photos of inscriptions online Kawi script class learning support. As for the inhibiting factors, namely limited costs and energy, inadequate vehicles, uncertain seasonal conditions and lack of interest in participating in kawi script online classes. ABSTRAK Literasi memiliki peran yang penting untuk masyarakat dalam menemukan suatu informasi salah satunya yaitu sejarah. Literasi sejarah merupakan bagian dari literasi dimana dengan literasi sejarah dapat mengetahui nilai-nilai dan informasi pada masa lampau. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu:, 1) untuk mengetahui cara Komunitas Tapak Jejak Kadhiri untuk mengembangkan literasi sejarah kepada masyarakat Kediri. 2) untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat Komunitas Tapak Jejak Kadhiri dalam mengembangkan literasi sejarah. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan metode Miles dan Huberman. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu Komunitas Tapak Jejak Kadhiri memiliki kegiatan untuk mengembangkan literasi sejarah yaitu memiliki galeri baca, membuka lapak baca, pameran, kunjungan situs purbakala, publikasi situs melalui media sosial Facebook dan Youtube, sablon kaos aksara kawi, kelas online aksara kawi dan menyelenggarakan kegiatan antar komunitas. Selain itu untuk faktor pendukungnya yaitu tersedianya donasi buku, dukungan dan keterbukaan masyarakat, dan adanya foto prasasti sebagai penunjang pembelajaran kelas online aksara kawi. Sedangkan untuk faktor penghambat yaitu terbatasnya biaya dan tenaga, kendaraan yang kurang  memadai, kondisi musim yang tidak menentu dan kurang ketertarikan untuk mengikuti kelas online akasara kawi.

Abstract

The tradition of reading in the family is one of the habituations of parents in fostering interest in reading. The alpha generation is a child born in the digital era which is certainly very close to technology. People's parenting plays a role in growing children's reading standards. So, this study aims to determine the application of democratic parenting in Kecicang Asri Housing, Karangasem, Bali in fostering interest in reading. In addition, it is also to find out the causal factors and efforts of parents in growing interest in reading. The qualitative research with this descriptive approach uses the method of collecting observational data, interviews, and documentation. The results are, (1) the democratic parenting style provided by parents in fostering interest in reading is to provide a variety of reading books, educational games, and put up pictorial posters in the child's room. (2) Factors causing children's difficulty in cultivating interest in reading due to lack of care, habituation, and assistance from parents (internal) as well as from environmental factors (external). (3) The efforts made by parents in fostering interest in reading are by habituating to the bookstore, providing educational children's games, putting up posters and reading in the children's room.  Abstrak Tradisi membaca dalam keluarga menjadi salah satu pembiasaan orang tua dalam menumbuhkan minat baca. Generasi alpha merupakan anak yang lahir di era digital yang tentunya sangat dekat dengan teknologi. Pola asuh orang berperan dalam menumbuhkan minabat baca anak. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pola asuh demokratis di Perumahan Kecicang Asri, Karangasem, Bali dalam menumbuhkan minat baca. Selain itu juga untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab serta upaya orang tua dalam penumbuhan minat baca. Adapun penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deksriptif ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah, (1) pola asuh demokratis yang diberikan orang tua dalam menumbuhkan minat baca adalah menyediakan berbagai buku bacaan, permainan yang mendidik, dan memasang poster bergambar di kamar anak. (2) Faktor penyebab kesulitan anak dalam meumbuhkan minat baca karena kurang mendapatkan pengasuhan, pembiasaan, dan pendampingan dari orang tua (internal) serta dari faktor lingkungan tempat tinggal (eksternal). (3) Upaya yang dilakukan orang tua dalam menumbuhkan minat baca adalah dengan pembiasaan ke toko buku, memberikan permainan anak yang mendidik, memasang poster bergambar dan terdapat bacaan di kamar anak.
