Abstract

International tensions are a concern for investors and companies because they can affect the results of investments made. This study examines the effect of geopolitical risk on firm value and political stability as a moderation in public companies in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. This study was conducted quantitatively on 3,477 companies from the period 2015-2022, unbalanced data with a total data sample of 22,572. The results of this study indicate that GPR is unable to significantly affect company value even though it has a negative coefficient. In addition political stability is also unable to moderate the effect of GPR on firm value

Abstract

The performance of WOM Finance has not yet reached optimal levels, as indicated by its total revenue trailing behind that of its competitors. Potential reasons for this shortfall could stem from suboptimal employee performance. This study aims to examine the influence of financial benefits and career advancement on employee performance, and how these influences are moderated by progressive discipline. Employing a quantitative approach with descriptive-verification analysis, the study involved 192 employees selected via proportionate stratified random sampling and utilized Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings indicate that financial benefits do not significantly affect employee performance, whereas career advancement does have a significant impact. Both financial benefits and career advancement significantly influence employee performance moderated by progressive discipline. Recommendations from the study include evaluating incentive schemes, facilitating continuing education programs for employees, and reviewing disciplinary policies at PT WOM Finance.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the proxies of Net Interest Margin (NIM) across banks in both developed and emerging Asian countries. The research spans from the first quarter of 2012 to the fourth quarter of 2023 and involves countries including Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore (developed) and Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines (emerging). The estimation method is panel data, using fixed effects panel data regression to accommodate variations over time and across entities. The result showed that in developed countries, banks benefit from maintaining a low Cost-to-Income Ratio (CIR) and managing provisions effectively, enhancing operational efficiency and profitability. Challenges such as the negative impact of larger asset sizes and economic shocks like COVID-19 necessitate innovative and adaptive strategies. While in emerging countries, effective management of provisions, along with adapting to GDP growth and inflation impacts, is crucial. The negative effects of COVID-19 and inflation on Net Interest Margin (NIM) highlight the importance of resilient strategies that enhance efficiency and adapt to economic changes. For both regions, prioritizing effective provisions management and adapting to economic fluctuations are key to sustaining profitability

Abstract

SUNMOR GOR Satria is a traditional market that only operates on Sundays, located in front of GOR Satria Purwokerto. Its strategic location and main road (Car Free Day) makes GOR busier than usual. This results in an increase in visitor consumption expenditure at Sunmor because the large number of goods traded can provide several choices for visitors to shop according to their wishes and needs. This research aims to analyze the influence of income, education level, age, travel distance and gender on visitor consumption expenditure. This research uses primary data totaling 100 respondents with a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The research results show that income, age and travel distance have a significant influence on visitor consumption expenditure at Sunmor GOR Satria Purwokerto. Meanwhile, education level and gender do not have a significant effect on consumption expenditure at Sunmor GOR Satria Purwokerto

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence between variables on the role of technology utilization in the use of property management dashboards with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Factor theory approach introduced by Davis (1989) on the influence of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and trust of security to see how user intention (behavioral intention to use) influences the use of property management dashboards at Ciputra SH3A as actual system use. This type of research is quantitative research using SmartPLS 3.0 software and data collection techniques in research through online questionnaires on a saturated sample of 60 respondents who are all users of the property management dashboard with a Likert scale range of 5. The results of this study indicate that all independent variables (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and trust of security) have a significant positive effect on the dependent variable (behavioral intention to use), where the variable perceived ease of use has the greatest effect on behavioral intention to use in using the property management dashboard at Ciputra SH3A

Abstract

PT XYZ employees' performance shows a decline of 3.65% from 2022 to 2023 or below the target set by management. This decrease may be caused by increased job demands without an accompanying rise in individual competence and capacity. Based on the 2022 employee engagement survey, as many as 54% of employees feel disengaged with the company and their work. Apart from that, it was found that there was unfair treatment in terms of training intensity. This situation can affect employee performance at PT XYZ. Primary data was collected via a Google Form distributed directly to 484 employees by WhatsApp, resulting in 220 responses. The data was then analyzed using the smartPLS 4.0 program with the partial least squares equation analysis method. The results show a positive of perceived organizational support, training and development, and employee engagement on employee performance. As a mediating variable, employee engagement mediates the relationship between perceptions of organizational support and training and development on employee performance. The study advances theoretical understanding in educational contexts and suggests that PT XYZ can improve employee performance by implementing and continuously refining comprehensive training programs. Future research should include diverse employee groups and additional factors influencing performance. PT XYZ is advised to use these insights to significantly boost employee performance.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance on stock price volatility in the Indonesian stock market. The research focuses on four main points. First, the stock market provides potential capital growth through dividends and capital gains, with capital gains offering higher returns but also carrying the risk of losses if stock prices decline. Second, stock price volatility can be high during economic crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which has the potential to trigger significant downturns (market crashes). Third, internal factors of companies such as size, profitability, and strategy influence the stability of stock price volatility, especially during crises. Fourth, ESG disclosure is increasingly important for investors seeking sustainable practices and effective risk management. Companies with high ESG scores tend to send positive signals to investors, reducing uncertainty and increasing confidence. The study's findings suggest that ESG performance has the potential to reduce stock price volatility, especially in non-crisis conditions. This research provides valuable insights for regulators, investors, and companies to understand how ESG affect the dynamics of the Indonesian stock market
