Abstract

Urban farming housing has emerged as an innovative approach to address urban environmental challenges and limited green spaces in rapidly growing cities such as Makassar, Indonesia. Despite its potential, consumer acceptance of this housing concept remains relatively low. This study aims to analyze the influence of knowledge, perception, and attitude on consumer purchase intention toward urban farming housing in Makassar. A quantitative approach was applied using survey data collected from 202 respondents. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that knowledge significantly affects perception (β = 0.362, p < 0.01) but does not significantly influence attitude or purchase intention. Perception, on the other hand, significantly affects both attitude (β = 0.797, p < 0.01) and purchase intention (β = 0.622, p < 0.01), making it the most dominant factor in the model. Meanwhile, attitude does not have a significant influence on purchase intention (β = 0.204, n.s.), indicating that consumers' behavioral decisions are not solely shaped by positive attitudes. These findings differ from the assumptions of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), suggesting that perception plays a more decisive role in explaining purchase intention than attitude. This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence that challenges the conventional TPB model in the context of sustainable housing. Practically, the findings suggest that housing developers should focus on enhancing consumer perception through environmental education, experiential marketing, and sustainability-based branding strategies.

Quantitative approaches were employed through questionnaire-based data collection involving respondents associated with program implementation. Findings demonstrate that implementation of service innovation was perceived positively based on dimensions consisting of relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. Assessment of public service quality also produced favorable results across tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy indicators. Statistical analysis further confirmed that service innovation exerts a positive and significant influence on public service quality. Findings indicate that innovation-based educational services possess substantial potential in strengthening educational accessibility, improving institutional effectiveness, and increasing community satisfaction regarding public educational service delivery.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of social media as a strategy for the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach focusing on the experiences of MSME actors in utilizing social media for promotion, communication with consumers, and market development. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving MSME actors who actively use social media in their business activities. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that social media is used by MSMEs as an affordable and effective promotional tool, a medium for direct interaction with consumers, and an instrument for building business image. However, its utilization has not been fully optimized due to challenges such as limited digital literacy, lack of time for content management, and intense competition in digital markets. This study demonstrates that social media plays an important role in supporting MSME development, but its success is highly dependent on the ability of business actors to manage digital communication strategies consistently and adaptively.

Abstract

This research study aims to find out and describe the contribution of the younger generation in developing social entrepreneurship at this time. Using the literature study method. Data were collected from a variety of relevant sources, such as journal articles and research reports of the past five years, and analyzed qualitatively descriptively. The research findings show that the younger generation functions as agents of change capable of generating social innovation by leveraging digital technologies, such as social media, online platforms, and artificial intelligence, to increase social impact. In addition, the participation of the younger generation in social entrepreneurship is fueled by social values, such as empathy, caring, and solidarity, which do not focus solely on financial gain. However, in practice, the younger generation still faces various challenges, such as limited access to capital, lack of experience and skills, and suboptimal policy support and social entrepreneurship ecosystem. Internal factors such as low self-confidence are also barriers in building the intention to be social entrepreneurs. For this reason, it is necessary to improve efforts through entrepreneurship education, training, and support from various parties, including the government, educational institutions, and the community. Then with the right support, the young generation has great potential to develop social entrepreneurship as an innovative and sustainable solution for inclusive social and economic development.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has accelerated the transformation of public service delivery toward more efficient, responsive, and data-driven systems. However, the successful implementation of AI in the public sector depends not only on technological readiness but also on the capacity of multiple stakeholders to establish collaborative policy networks. This study aims to analyze policy networks in the governance of AI utilization for public service delivery in Makassar City, Indonesia. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving local government officials, academics, technology companies, digital communities, and citizens as service users. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, guided by the Policy Network Theory framework. The findings reveal that AI governance in Makassar City is shaped by a collaborative network involving multiple actors with complementary roles and resources. The local government acts as the network coordinator, while private-sector organizations and academic institutions provide strategic resources, including technological expertise, knowledge, and innovation. Interdependence and resource exchange emerge as critical factors supporting AI implementation in public services. Nevertheless, AI governance continues to face challenges related to regulatory limitations, data integration, human resource capacity, and concerns regarding ethics and information security. This study highlights that strengthening collaborative and adaptive policy networks is a fundamental prerequisite for achieving effective and sustainable AI-driven public service delivery.

Abstract

Inequality in the distribution of social assistance, lack of access to economic resources, and limited employment opportunities further worsen conditions for people living in poverty, including Indonesia. The purpose of this article is to describe and analyze the role of social entrepreneurship as an alternative in efforts to overcome poverty. The study approach uses literature studies through various relevant scientific journals according to the study of the problem. The findings of the study show that social entrepreneurship plays an important role in creating jobs, improving community skills, and encouraging economic independence at the local level, especially through strengthening the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. Social entrepreneurship not only focuses on financial gain, but also incorporates social values in every activity carried out, so that it can have a wider positive impact on the welfare of the community, including in empowering women in rural areas. In addition, social entrepreneurship also serves to increase community involvement in harnessing local potential and strengthen solidarity among community members. The success of social entrepreneurship is influenced by social networks, active community involvement, the ability to innovate, and consistent government policy support. However, its implementation still faces a number of challenges such as limited access to funding, unstable regulations, low entrepreneurial skills, and lack of access to business training. Therefore, collaboration between the government, the private sector, and the community is needed to strengthen the development of social entrepreneurship in order to make a more effective contribution to improving people's welfare and achieving sustainable poverty alleviation.
