Abstract

This research was conducted to determine how the effect of firm size, working capital turnover, and debt to equity ratio on return on assets in consumer goods manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data taken from www.idx.co.id. The data used was from 2012 to 2020. The research was conducted in 2022. The population in this research was 56 companies with 33 companies used as samples. This research used quantitative data that is processed with the Eviews 9 application with the panel regression method. The test results concluded that the variable company size and debt to equity ratio partially had a significant effect on return on assets, while working capital turnover partially did not have a significant effect on return on assets. Simultaneously, firm size, working capital turnover, and debt to equity ratio also had a significant effect on the return on assets of manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector. The contribution given by the variables of firm size, working capital turnover, and debt to equity ratio to return on assets was 87.07%, while the level of closeness of the variables of firm size, working capital turnover, and debt to equity ratio to return on assets was very close or very strong.

Abstract

The role of HR is increasing is important when viewed from the supply and demand side of the labor market, where human capital is the level of compatibility between demand and supply of labor with the quality and quantity of HR itself. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of individual characteristics and work environment on employee motivation and performance, and to determine the effect of employee motivation intervening on individual characteristics and work environment on performance. This study uses quantitative methods with the aim of testing hypotheses with the object of this research being all employees of PT. Merapi Utama Pharma Medan Branch, which is located at Jalan Tapian Nauli Pasar 1 No. 5 districts. Sunggal, Kel. Medan Sunggal, Medan 20138 with 76 employees consisting of marketing staff and administrative staff. This company is engaged in pharmaceutical wholesalers whose products are in the form of services in the distribution of medical devices, medicines, infusion fluids and equipment, as well as health food. PT. Merapi Utama Pharma distributes goods from the company or commonly called Principal to hospitals, pharmacies, outlets, supermarkets and mini markets. The data collection technique used a census because the total population was only 76 people. Hypothesis testing using path analysis. The results showed that individual characteristics had a significant effect on employee motivation and performance, the work environment had a significant effect on employee motivation but had no significant effect on performance. The test results show that employee motivation variables mediate the effect of individual characteristics and work environment on performance. This study updates the motivation variable as an intervening variable between individual characteristics variables, performance variables, research locations, and variable relationship models. The limitations of this study include the number of samples which are only 76 subjectivities. In addition, the re-examination should be conducted again in a different place with a larger sample.

Abstract

This study aims to describeDoes the community have the awareness and understanding to manage household waste in Gampong Santan, Want Jaya District, Aceh Besar District by using qualitative methods. Determination of informants in this study was carried outbypurposive samplingwith 10 informants. The results showed thatCommunity empowerment in managing household waste is starting to run well as it should. The residents of Gampong Santan have high enthusiasm in participating in the programs that have been carried out in dealing with the waste problem. The people of Gampong Santan have started to have awareness and desire to apply the knowledge they have gained from training in their respective homes. The people of Gampong Santan have also understood what and how waste should be handled properly without leaving a bad impact on their environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of budgetary participation on budgetary slack, the effect of information asymmetry on budgetary slack, the effect of budgetary participation and information asymmetry on budgetary slack at PT. ALFA SCORPII GATOT SUBROTO MEDAN. The object of research is the manager and staff of 32 people who are involved in budget preparation. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that based on the results of the F test, it is known that budgetary participation and information asymmetry simultaneously have a significant effect on budgetary slack. Budget participation has a significant effect on budgetary slack. Information asymmetry has a significant effect on budgetary slack.

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the soundness of state-owned banks using the Capital, Assets, Management, Earning and Liquidity methods and sensitivity to market risk listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2020 period. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The population of this study is state-owned banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2020. The sampling method is census. The results showed that the soundness of Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero), Tbk, the soundness of Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk, Bank Mandiri (Persero), Tbk, State Savings Bank (Persero), Tbk calculated by the CAMELS method as a whole showed that Healthy predicate.

Abstract

The paper studied extremely important categories in the (former) U.S.S.R. such as dissidents, forced (exiled) emigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and ‘non-returnees’ to their country of origin because of the political persecution in the 20th century, as well as, in the 21st century the category of ‘Foreign Agents’ in contemporary Russia in the period of Russia’s full invasion of Ukraine for the political persecution too, when this successor country of the U.S.S.R. found enemies and agents again among its citizens, who tell the truth about Russia’s war 2014-2022- in Ukraine. All the categories of ‘enemies’ and ‘agents’ of the 20-21st century have been characterized and analyzed in the paper. Also, the movement of refugees and asylum seekers from 1975 to 1990, from the U.S.S.R. to the U.S.A. has been summarized and analyzed in the paper.

Abstract

The judge decision in criminal case of corruption is practically happen by disparity case. Therefore, the problem of punishment is not only important for judge and the process of criminal justice, but also the law process entirely, especially in the term of law construction. This research is normative research so the data collecting is done through literary study and qualitative analysis. The result of this research shows that: 1) the regulation of corruption case eradication, there is no explanation include an explanation about element of enrichtment or advantageous but, there is law opinion can be parameter of “enrichment” element in corruption case namely how much the national detriment which has been abused by suspect act. 2) The implementation of enrichtment and advantageous element by judge in the future is the threat given in the form of incompetence to do in law.

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of using the parallel story approach in deepening the Islamic identity in the schools of the Education Directorates in Karak Governorate. The sample of the study consisted of (87) students from the seventh grade who were randomly selected from one of the schools of the Directorate of Education in Karak during the first semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The parallel story approach was used in teaching the first experimental group, while the traditional method was used in teaching the students of the control group. To achieve the aim of the study, the tool prepared by the researcher was used, which is a test to find out the level of success in acquiring Islamic values, and four units of study were used from the Islamic Education curriculum for the seventh grade, and its contents were reformulated into four types of Islamic stories, taking into account the rules of writing the story. The study showed statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.05) between students' performance in imagination skills due to the teaching strategy used, in favor of the parallel story approach. It made a number of recommendations.

Abstract

In order to access, comprehend, and use information to make decisions about their health, people must possess certain personal traits and social resources, which are referred to as health literacy. Patients' ability to engage in complex disease management and self-care is strongly related to their level of health literacy. It can help us stay healthy by preventing illness and effectively managing existing illnesses. Personal health literacy refers to a person's ability to locate, comprehend, and apply information and services to support health-related decisions and actions for themselves and others. The World Health Organization recommends health literacy as a tool for achieving several key targets outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals. Low health literacy (LHL) is most commonly associated with mature patients with chronic health conditions who have limited education and are not necessarily from a lower income group. Furthermore, being literate in general does not imply being literate in health.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had various impacts on people's lives. One of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic is believed to be the increase in acts of violence against children in families. The research will explore the factors that have made the COVID-19 pandemic a trigger for increased acts of violence against children in families in Indonesia. By using qualitative research this research was conducted from 2020-2022. Data collected by interview and observation. The participants involved in this research were parents, children, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the community. The results of this study indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic can trigger factors of violence against children in the family. These factors include factors of religious teachings, economics, divorce, psychology, education, and social. This study concludes that there is a strong correlation between the COVID-19 pandemic as a trigger and factors for acts of violence against children in the family. By looking at the results of the research above, it is necessary to pay attention to the government and society from various aspects to prevent and minimize violence against children in the family, especially during difficult times such as disasters or pandemics.
