Abstract

The meaning of life is one of the fundamental questions of human existence that is increasingly relevant amid the identity and life purpose crisis of the modern generation. This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the thoughts of Rick Warren, a contemporary Christian theologian through his work The Purpose Driven Life, and Viktor E. Frankl, an existential psychiatrist with his logotherapy in Man’s Search for Meaning. Using a qualitative method based on literature study and comparative-descriptive analysis, this study highlights the points of convergence and fundamental differences between the two figures. Warren emphasizes that the meaning of life is only found in relationship with God and divine purpose through five main callings: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and mission. Meanwhile, Frankl asserts that the will to meaning is the primary motivation of humans, which can be realized through work, love, and attitudes toward unavoidable suffering. The findings show that although Warren is rooted in Christian theology and Frankl in existential psychology, both emphasize the dimension of transcendence, inner resilience, and personal responsibility as the core of a meaningful life. This study provides important contributions in the fields of theology, psychology, as well as the practice of education, spiritual ministry, and counseling, especially in responding to the crisis of life’s meaning faced by modern society.

Abstract

This study investigated the development of an English language environment in an Islamic boarding school context where learners often had limited opportunities to use English beyond the classroom. Previous studies tended to examine language learning factors separately, leaving a gap in understanding how environmental elements functioned as an integrated system. To address this gap, this research proposed the concept of the “chemistry” of the English environment, referring to the dynamic interaction between institutional policy, teaching practices, and social communication. The study employed a qualitative ethnographic design conducted at the Modern Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor, involving school leaders, teachers, and students as participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis, and analysed using an interactive model of data reduction, display, and verification. The findings revealed that the English environment was successfully constructed through the integration of formal instruction and informal daily interaction supported by strict discipline and continuous exposure. It was also found that institutional control played a significant role in shaping language habits, although a gap remained between external motivation and consistent language use. Furthermore, peer interaction and student organisations contributed to sustaining communicative practices in natural settings. These findings suggested that a structured and immersive environment could effectively support second language acquisition when supported by consistent policy and social engagement. This study contributed to the field by offering an integrated model of language environment development and provided practical implications for designing sustainable English learning ecosystems in similar educational context.

Abstract

The development of live streaming commerce has changed the way consumers interact with digital platforms and make online purchasing decisions. Platforms like TikTok, through their TikTok Shop feature, combine entertainment, social interaction, and real-time product promotions, which can encourage impulsive buying behavior. However, not all viewers who watch live streaming sessions make purchases, so it is important to understand the psychological mechanisms that influence consumer engagement and purchasing decisions in this context. This study aims to analyze the influence of streamer attributes, including positive emotion, streamer credibility, and streamer interaction quality, on impulsive buying behavior through customer engagement as a mediating variable. This research framework is based on Stimulus–Organism–Response Theory, which explains that environmental stimuli can influence an individual's psychological state before producing a specific behavioral response. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collection through a survey of 390 respondents who have experience watching live streaming commerce on TikTok Shop. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results show that positive emotion, streamer credibility, and streamer interaction quality have a positive and significant effect on customer engagement. Furthermore, customer engagement was shown to have a significant positive influence on impulsive buying behavior and acted as a mediating variable in the relationship between streamer attributes and impulsive buying behavior. These findings suggest that consumer engagement is a crucial psychological mechanism linking live streaming experiences to spontaneous purchasing decisions in live streaming commerce environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and model best practices for partnerships between schools and the Business and Industry (DUDI) in improving graduate competencies at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Salam, Magelang. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that the partnership is implemented systematically and integratedly through curriculum synchronization, industry involvement in competency assessment, implementation of industrial work practices (prakerin), on-the-job training (OJT) for teachers, graduate recruitment, and funding and facility support. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of the partnership is not determined by the number of programs, but rather by the level of integration between planning, implementation, evaluation, and graduate transition to the workforce. Curriculum synchronization increases the relevance of learning, while industry involvement in evaluation strengthens the validity of competencies. Experiential learning through prakerin and OJT contributes significantly to strengthening technical skills and work attitudes. This study produces an integrative partnership model that connects the curriculum, industry-based learning, and graduate absorption pathways, so that it can serve as a reference in the development of more relevant and sustainable vocational education.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a co-curricular module based on the Among System integrated with ecopreneurship to strengthen elementary school students' independence. The study employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The needs analysis was conducted in October 2025 through classroom observations and interviews at SD Negeri Minomartani 2 and SDIT Salsabila 2 Klaseman. The product was evaluated through a limited trial involving 15 fourth-grade students and a field trial involving 28 fourth-grade students. Data were collected using observations, interviews, validation sheets, response questionnaires, and independence observation sheets, and were analyzed descriptively and using the normalized gain (N-Gain) test. The findings revealed that the developed module achieved a very high level of validity based on expert and practitioner evaluations, received highly positive responses from teachers and students, and effectively strengthened students' independence with a high improvement category. The effectiveness of the module was supported by the integration of the Among System and ecopreneurship, which provided project-based learning experiences that encouraged decision-making, reflection, and responsibility. The developed module offers an alternative co-curricular learning resource to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum while strengthening character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at the junior high school level still faces various challenges, such as a lack of internalization of religious values, social empathy, and religious moderation. This is due to the dominance of learning approaches that focus on cognitive aspects and memorization. The Merdeka Curriculum was introduced to provide flexibility and autonomy in the learning process, but it has not fully reached the affective dimension of students. Therefore, this study aims to examine the integration of the Merdeka Curriculum with the Cinta Curriculum as a humanistic, religious, and engaging approach to IRE learning. This study applies a qualitative method by combining a literature review and design-based research at the conceptual level. Data sources include education policy documents, Islamic education literature, and educational psychology journals. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis and comparative synthesis techniques. The results showed that the integration of the two curricula found similarities in the need for emotional security as a prerequisite for cognitive autonomy. The Merdeka Curriculum serves as a means of learning freedom, while the Cinta Curriculum provides a relational foundation through loving pedagogy. This integrative model encourages student participation in the learning process, internalization of moral values, and student psychological well-being. The main findings of this study emphasize that the success of PAI learning is highly dependent on the quality of the emotional relationship between teachers and students. This study recommends strengthening school policies that encourage the creation of a love-based and positive discipline educational environment.

Abstract

Contemporary forms of marginalization including structural inequality, gender discrimination, and social exclusion have challenged conventional interpretations of Qur'anic social justice to respond more effectively to changing social realities. While previous studies have examined social justice through either social or feminist exegesis, limited attention has been given to integrating these interpretative approaches within a single ethical framework. This study aims to reconstruct Qur'anic social justice as an ethical foundation for empowering marginalized communities by integrating insights from social and feminist exegesis. Employing a qualitative library research design with a conceptual approach, the study draws upon the Qur'an, classical and contemporary Qur'anic commentaries, scholarly books, and peer-reviewed journal articles. The collected literature was analyzed through conceptual analysis, comparative interpretation, thematic synthesis, and conceptual reconstruction. The findings indicate that Qur'anic social justice extends beyond legal and distributive understandings by integrating the ethical principles of 'adl (justice), qisṭ (equity), karāmah (human dignity), raḥmah (compassion), and musāwah (equality). The study further argues that social and feminist exegesis are complementary rather than competing approaches, offering a more comprehensive understanding of structural, cultural, and gender-based marginalization. This integrative reconstruction broadens contemporary discussions of Qur'anic social justice and provides an ethical foundation for more inclusive approaches to Islamic education, community empowerment, and social development.

Abstract

The website-based social studies (IPS) learning media was found to be feasible and effective for instructional use. Expert validation indicated consistently high quality, with scores of 86.1% (“Very High”) from media experts, 85% (“Very High”) from subject-matter experts, and 87.5% (“Very High”) from language experts. A small-group trial also produced a strong result (89.8%), categorized as “Very Good.” These findings support the importance of strengthening students’ understanding of local cultural wisdom as a basis for preserving traditional heritage in their communities. Nevertheless, many young people have limited knowledge of their own culture due to excessive imitation of foreign cultural influences. This study employed a research and development (R&D) approach using the PPE model (Planning, Production, and Evaluation). In the planning stage, a needs analysis was conducted through curriculum review, learning outcome analysis, and examination of student characteristics. In the production stage, the website was developed to enrich IPS learning resources on socio-cultural diversity by exploring Lampung culture in the West Coast (Pesisir Barat) region. The content included an introduction to Lampung culture, Kuntara Raja Niti (a customary law manuscript of the Lampung community), and regional exploration materials such as local profiles, customary practices, tourism diversity, culinary specialties, and cultural videos. In the evaluation stage, feasibility was assessed through expert judgment and a small-group trial. Effectiveness testing showed ( ), leading to rejection of and acceptance of . Therefore, the developed media is effective for use in the Basic Concepts of Social Studies course and is classified as “Very Good.”

Abstract

This study examines the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transforming the recruitment and human resource development processes across various organizations. As the demands for efficiency, objectivity, and quality in human resource management increase, AI offers solutions through automated candidate screening, intelligent matching systems, and personalized professional development platforms.Using a qualitative descriptive method, this research investigates the implementation of AI in several organizations to assess its impact on HR practices. The findings indicate that AI can enhance recruitment efficiency by reducing processing time and minimizing human bias, while also supporting HR development through data-driven training analysis and adaptive learning systems for employees.However, challenges such as data privacy risks, algorithmic bias, technological infrastructure gaps, and limited digital competencies among HR practitioners were also identified. The study concludes that successful AI integration in HR management requires a comprehensive policy framework, continuous capacity building, and ethical oversight to ensure that technology complements, rather than replaces, human judgment. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing a comprehensive qualitative analysis of AI implementation across both recruitment and human resource development functions, highlighting the opportunities and challenges of AI-driven HR practices

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires young families to possess adaptive parenting knowledge that aligns with children's developmental needs in the digital era. However, limited access to interactive and user-friendly parenting education media remains a challenge for many young parents. This study aimed to develop a website-based parenting education media using motion graphics and material design guidelines to improve young families’ understanding of child parenting. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model combined with the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). The research stages included define, design, development, and disseminate, along with multimedia processes consisting of concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. The research subjects involved 33 young parents in Simpang Rimbo Village, Jambi City, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, pre-tests, and post-tests. Data analysis was conducted using normality, homogeneity, and Wilcoxon Signed Rank tests with SPSS version 27. The results indicated that the EduParent media achieved a “very good” category based on media expert validation (83.7%) and material expert validation (97.5%). User testing also demonstrated high satisfaction levels regarding interface design, usability, and material relevance. Furthermore, the Wilcoxon test showed a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05), indicating a significant improvement in parenting understanding after using the application. This study contributes to the development of interactive and responsive website-based digital parenting education media tailored to the characteristics of young families in the digital era.
