Abstract

Pneumatic conveying is a material transport tool that utilizes compressed air in a pipe that comes from a blower or compressor. The EP dust raw mill material transport equipment is designed using the pneumatic conveying principle which aims to deliver the material optimally to the cement mill. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the fluid flow in the EP dust Raw Mill material transport system pipe which aims to determine the phenomenon of fluid flow in the pipe design and find the head loss of the material transport pipe. This analysis uses a numerical method that is solving problems by being formulated mathematically by calculating operations and assisted by solidworks software. The size of the pipe to be analyzed is 330 meters long with a diameter of 0.2 meters and has 8 elbows and a head loss of 425.53 meters is obtained, while the results of theoretical calculations obtained a major loss of 374.61 meters and a minor loss of 20.87 meters and the total head loss is 395.48 meters. Pneumatic conveying merupakan alat transpor material yang memanfaatkan udara bertekanan dalam pipa yang berasal dari blower maupun compressor. Alat transpor material EP dust raw mill dirancang menggunakan prinsip pneumatic conveying yang bertujuan untuk menghantarkan material secara optimal menuju cement mill. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis aliran fluida yang berada didalam pipa sistem transpor material EP dust Raw Mill yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui fenomena aliran fluida pada desain pipa dan mencari head loss dari pipa transpor material tersebut. Analisis ini menggunakan metode numerik yaitu menyelesaikan permasalahan dengan diformulasikan secara matematis dengan cara operasi hitungan dan dibantu oleh software solidworks. Ukuran Pipa yang akan dianalisis sepanjang 330 meter dengan diameter 0,2 meter dan memiliki elbow sebanyak 8 buah dan didapatkan headloss sebesar 425,53 meter sedangkan dari hasil perhitungan teoritis didapatkan major loss sepanjang 374,61 meter dan minor loss sebesar 20,87 meter dan total head lossnya sebesar 395,48 meter.

Abstract

Stress is a response from within the body due to pressure in life that causes fear and anxiety. In previous studies, researchers only used 2 sensors, namely the Pressure sensor (MPX5500DP) and the Temperature Sensor (LM35). The purpose of this research is to develop measurement instrumentation from previous research. This study uses 3 sensors, namely the DS18B20 temperature sensor (oC), pulse sensor (bpm), and the Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) sensor. The method used is the Sugeno fuzzy logic method as parameter measurement and LCD as data display. Media intermediary data transmission using wi-fi ESP8266. The test results with the tool will be compared with the DASS 42 Questionnaire, which is one of the psychological stress measuring tools. From the results of the test tools and questionnaires, the percentage of the average level of conformity is 56%. Stres merupakan suatu respon dari dalam tubuh karena adanya tekanan dalam hidup yang menyebabkan ketakutan,dan kecemasan. Pada penelitian sebelumnya peneliti hanya menggunakan 2 sensor saja,yaitu sensor Tekanan (MPX5500DP) dan Sensor Suhu (LM35) alat yang dihasilkan kurang akurat. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan instrumentasi pengukuran dari penelitian sebelumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 sensor yaitu sensor suhu DS18B20 (oC), pulse sensor (bpm), dan sensor Galvanic Skin Response (GSR). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode fuzzy logic Sugeno sebagai pengukur parameter dan LCD sebagai tampilan data. Media perantara pengiriman data menggunakan wi-fi ESP8266. Hasil pengujian dengan alat akan dibandingkan dengan Kuesioner DASS 42 yaitu salah satu alat ukur stress psikolog. Dari hasil uji Alat dan kuesioner maka didapatkan persentase tingkat kesesuaian rata-rata yaitu sebesar 56%.

Abstract

One of the problems that frequently happen in distribution management is the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). VRP aims to create an optimal route, which has a minimum total distance to meet consumer demand. This problem is being experienced by UD. XYZ which causes cost overruns. The purpose of this study is to design product distribution routes to minimize distribution costs at UD. XYZ. The method used is a saving matrix with a dynamic program approach, nearest neighbor, and nearest insertion. Furthermore, the analysis of the sensitivity of the load and fuel is carried out. The saving matrix method with a dynamic program approach is able to reduce the distance traveled per week from 184.44 km to 136.65 km. In addition, the dynamic approach is also able to reduce distribution costs by 15.16% or Rp. 36,559.35 per week with distribution costs for the existing condition of Rp. 241.096.60 to Rp. 204.537.25. Salah satu permasalahan yang sering dialami dalam manajemen distribusi adalah Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). VRP bertujuan untuk membuat suatu rute yang optimal, yaitu memiliki total jarak minimum dalam memenuhi permintaan konsumen. Permasalahan ini sedang dialami oleh UD. XYZ yang menyebabkan pembengkakan biaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang rute distribusi produk untuk meminimasi biaya distribusi pada UD. XYZ. Metode yang digunakan saving matrix dengan pendekatan program dinamis, nearest neighbor, dan nearest insertion. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis sensitifitas muatan dan bahan bakar. Metode saving matrix dengan pendekatan program dinamis mampu memperkecil jarak tempuh per minggu yang semula 184,44 km menjadi 136,65 km. Selain itu pendekatan dinamis juga mampu menurunkan biaya distribusi sebesar 15,16% atau Rp36.559,35 per minggu dengan biaya distribusi kondisi saat ini Rp241.096,60 menjadi Rp204.537,25.

Abstract

Good inventory management can plan, control, and manage the company's inventory to consumer demand. Poor inventory management has a significant impact on the company. Excess raw materials will affect high inventory costs, and a lack of raw materials will impact dissatisfied consumers. Therefore it is necessary to have a valid inventory policy. This research aims to minimize PT XYZ's inventory costs using the Continuous Review and Periodic Review methods. The research was conducted by taking data from PT XYZ and then doing ABC analysis, normality test, Continuous Review and Periodic Review methods, and sensitivity analysis. The results showed that the most optimal inventory policy for minimizing inventory costs is the continuous review method (s, S). The results of this study can be used as a reference in determining inventory policies to minimize costs. Manajemen persediaan yang baik mampu merencanakan, mengendalikan, serta mengelola persediaan perusahaan terhadap permintaan konsumen. Pengendalian persediaan yang buruk sangat berdampak bagi perusahaan. Kelebihan bahan baku akan berdampak pada tingginya biaya persediaan dan kekurangan bahan baku akan berdampak pada tidak puasnya konsumen. Oleh karena itu perlu ada kebijakan persediaan yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meminimasi biaya persediaan PT XYZ menggunakan metode Continuous Review dan Periodic Review. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil data dari PT XYZ lalu dilakukan analisis ABC, uji normalitas, metode Continuous Review dan Periodic Review serta analisis sensitivitas. Hasil penelitian didapatkan kebijakan persediaan dalam meminimasi biaya persediaan yang paling optimal adalah Metode continuous review (s,S). Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai acuan dalam menentukan kebijakan persediaan untuk meminimasi biaya.

Abstract

Vibrating Screen Machine have a crucial role in producing split stone. Vibrating screen machine maintenance is taken after it is in trouble. This is a kind of unplanned maintenance, which risks causing a high quantity of machine breakdowns and will affect to the production capacity. This study analyses data trouble of the vibrating screen machine for five months. The data analysed are the type of disturbance, the amount of production losses and financial losses. The results showed that the largest repair hours due to mechanical problem occurred in the fifth month with a repair time of 75.8 hours and a production loss of 5,269.85 Tons which is equivalent to Rp. 580,382,000,-. Then the largest total repair hours due to the production problem occurred in the second month with a repair time of 32.99 hours and a production loss of 968.49 Tons or equivalent to Rp. 179,385,000,-. Salah satu jenis mesin yang beperan dalam memproduksi batu split adalah vibrating screen. Perawatan mesin vibrating screen biasanya dilakukan saat mesin mengalami kerusakan. Hal ini adalah bentuk pemeliharaan yang tidak terencana, yang beresiko menimbulkan tingginya kuantitas gangguan pada mesin dan akan mempengaruhi kapasitas produksi. Penelitian ini menganalisa data gangguan dari mesin vibrating screen selama lima bulan. Data yang dianalisis meliputi tipe gangguan, jumlah produksi yang hilang (production losses) dan rugi keuangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total jam perbaikan dengan klasifikasi kerusakan mechanical terbesar terjadi pada bulan ke lima dengan waktu perbaikan selama 75,8 jam dan production loss sebesar 5.269,85 Ton yang setara dengan Rp. 580.382.000,-. Kemudian total jam perbaikan dengan klasifikasi kerusakan production terbesar terjadi pada bulan kedua dengan waktu perbaikan 32,99 jam dan kerugian hasil produksi sebesar 968,49 Ton atau setara dengan sebesar Rp. 179.385.000,-.

Abstract

Power system stability issues and the lack of studies of the impact of relevant renewable energy networks are factors hindering the use of large-scale integration of renewable energy sources. This study focuses on examining the impact of photovoltaic system integration on the power stability of the power grid. The integration of this photovoltaic involves the analysis of the static and dynamic state of the electrical network. Load flow simulation is performed to assess the performance of static conditions of the power grid. Furthermore, dynamic analysis is carried out by applying 3-phase short circuits at critical points of the network and observing how harmonic and stability in the system. The simulation was carried out using the ETAP 19.0. Simulations of existing conditions and after penetration of the photovoltaic system showed the buses had THDv and THDI values below the permissible standards, respectively. In addition, the existing power flow simulation experiences a voltage drop from the nominal voltage. Masalah stabilitas sistem tenaga dan kurangnya studi akan dampak dari jaringan energi terbarukan yang relevan merupakan faktor yang menghambat penggunaan integrasi skala besar dari sumber energi terbarukan. Penelitian ini fokus mengkaji dampak integrasi sistem fotovoltaik pada stabilitas daya jaringan listrik. Integrasi sistem fotovoltaik ini melibatkan analisis keadaan statis dan dinamis dari jaringan listrik. Simulasi aliran beban dilakukan untuk menilai kinerja kondisi statis dari jaringan listrik. Selanjutnya, analisis dinamik dilakukan dengan menerapkan hubung singkat 3 fasa pada titik-titik kritis jaringan dan mengamati bagaimana harmonisa dan stabilitas pada sistem. Simulasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak ETAP 19.0. Simulasi kondisi sebelum dan setelah penetrasi sistem fotovoltaik menunjukkan bus masing-masing memiliki nilai THDv dan THDI dibawah standar yang diperbolehkan. Selain itu, simulasi aliran daya kondisi sebelum integrasi mengalami jatuh tegangan dari tegangan nominal.

Abstract

XYZ is a steel fabrication company. It have some business such as; Storage, Crosstube, Steel Structure for pre-heater, Bulk Storage bagging unit and etc. Crosstube produce with a high failure rate, it was 212/2185 defective products. This research goal is to analyse quality control at PT. XYZ from June 2021 to May 2022 using Statistical Quality Control and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. By using pareto diagram it found that a defect occur during welding process, which is 47% more dominant on the type of product defect. It was realize the RPN value of each process are; 1430 for the welding process, 1748 for drilling process, and 1470 for cutting process. Action that should be taken by PT. XYZ is using statistic method. It is to find out the category that caused product failure. Furthermore, PT. XYZ need to make a Standard Operational Procedure to minimized failure in the production process. PT. XYZ adalah perusahaan manufaktur fabrikasi baja, bidang usaha jasa yang dijalankannya yaitu Limestone Storage, Crosstube, Steel Structure for Pre-Heater, Bulk Storage Bagging Unit dan lain – lain. Di antara usaha tersebut, Crosstube menjadi produk dengan tingkat kegagalan yang tinggi saat proses produksi, terdapat 212 produk cacat dari 2185 produk yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengendalian kualitas pada produk PT. XYZ pada bulan Juni 2021-Mei 2022 dengan metode Statistical Quality Control dan Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. Terungkap pada diagram pareto bahwa kecacatan saat melakukan proses las sebesar 47% lebih dominan pada jenis kerusakan produk. RPN pada setiap proses sebesar 1403 pada proses las, 1748 proses bor, 1470 proses cutting. Tindakan yang harus dilakukan oleh PT. XYZ yaitu menggunakan metode statistik untuk dapat mengetahui kategori apa yang menyebabkan terjadinya kegagalan produk. Selain itu PT. XYZ perlu membuat Standard Operasional Prosedure untuk menghindari peningkatan kegagalan produk.

Abstract

Ceramics are currently widely used in various defense industries. Among them are the purposes of body armor (vests and helmets), vehicle protection, and ballistic protection. This review aims to provide insight into ceramic armor materials including their manufacture, use, and application as protective materials. The method used is a literature review and describes the results of the analysis related to the application of ceramic materials in the form of ceramic armor. The use of ceramic armor materials in defense industry products is proven to provide good performance compared to metal materials, especially in increasing the mobility capabilities of defense personnel. In addition, the use of ceramic armor has initiated the development of lightweight protective materials so that various technologies have been developed to maximize the use of ceramics in the defense industry. Keramik saat ini banyak digunakan dalam berbagai industri pertahanan. Diantaranya untuk keperluan bahan pelindung tubuh (rompi dan helm), pelindung kendaraan, dan pelindung balistik. Review ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan tentang material armor keramik yang meliputi pembuatan, penggunaan, dan aplikasinya sebagai bahan pelindung. Metode yang digunakan adalah literatur review dan mendeskripsikan hasil analisa terkait aplikasi material keramik dalam bentuk ceramic armor. Pemanfaatan material armor keramik pada produk industri pertahanan terbukti dapat memberikan performa yang baik dibandingkan dengan material logam terutama dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mobilitas dari personil pertahanan. Selain itu penggunaan armor keramik telah menginisiasi pengembangan material pelindung ringan sehingga berbagai macam teknologi dikembangkan untuk dapat memaksimalkan penggunaan keramik dalam industri pertahanan.

Abstract

Partial shadow is one of the factors that affect the efficiency of solar panels, besides temperature and humidity. Partial shade reduces the performance of the solar panel and gives rise to some local maximums. One effort to reduce the negative effects of this partial shade is to reconfigure the installation of solar panels. This study aims to examine the effect of partial shadows with various solar panel configurations. The 3x3 system was used in this study, with several configurations namely Series Parallel (SP), Total Cross Tied (TCT), Triple Tied (TT), Bridge Link (BL), and Honey Comb (HC). The test results are monitored through a Visual Basic-based interface that displays data in graphical form. The test results show that the configuration that produces the most energy is TCT followed by TT, BL, HC and SP which produces the lowest energy from all tests. Bayangan parsial merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi dari panel surya, disamping suhu dan kelembapan. Bayangan parsial membuat kinerja panel surya tidak maksimal dan menimbulkan beberapa titik maksimum lokal. Salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi efek negatif dari bayangan parsial ini adalah dengan melakukan rekonfigurasi pemasangan panel surya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh bayangan parsial dengan berbagai konfigurasi pemasangan panel surya. Sistem yang digunakan adalah 3x3 dengan konfigurasi Series Parallel (SP), Total Cross Tied (TCT), Triple Tied (TT), Bridge Link (BL), dan Honey Comb (HC). Hasil pengujian dimonitoring melalui interface berbasis Visual Basic yang menampilkan data dalam bentuk grafik. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan konfigurasi yang menghasilkan energi paling besar adalah TCT kemudian diikuti oleh TT, BL, HC dan SP menghasilkan energi yang paling rendah dari semua pengujian.

Abstract

Based on historical data in 2020, Mika MSMEs could not meet the demand for gamis cloth production. It is proven that there is a capacity shortage that occurs in the third process, namely the sewing process as much, as 0.5%. The RCCP method with the BOL methodology was used to perform the capacity calculation, and the results suggested the necessity for an alternate addition of three workers to the sewing process. With an alternative usage fee of IDR 7,700,000/month and a profit of IDR 262,300,000/month. PAM tools help analyze the problem that there is transportation waste, with the largest percentage of 39.68% in Mika MSMEs. Layout improvements were made using the BLOCPLAN algorithm by considering the largest R-Score value. The proposed layout design provides for a displacement of 2080 meters/day, a transfer time of 1934 seconds/day, and the use of one production floor. Berdasarkan data historis pada tahun 2020, UMKM Mika tidak dapat memenuhi permintaan produksi baju gamis. Hal ini dibuktikan bahwa adanya kekurangan kapasitas yang terjadi pada proses ketiga yaitu proses sewing sebanyak 0.5%. Dilakukan perhitungan kapasitas menggunakan metode RCCP dengan pendekatan BOL, dan diperoleh usulan berupa perlunya alternative penambahan tiga tenaga kerja pada proses sewing. Dengan biaya penggunaan alternatif Rp7,700,000/bulan dan keuntungan sebesar Rp262,300,000/bulan. Tools PAM membantu melakukan analisis permasalahan bahwa terdapat pemborosan transportasi dengan persentase terbesar 39.68% di UMKM Mika. Dilakukan perbaikan tata letak menggunakan algoritma BLOCPLAN dengan memperhatikan nilai R-Score terbesar. Didapatkan usulan perancangan tata letak berupa perpindahan sebanyak 2080 meter/hari, waktu transportasi sebanyak 1934 detik/hari, dan dengan penggunaan satu lantai produksi.
