Abstract

In the Sibolga area, there is still a shortage of electricity supply, especially for street lighting, so accidents often occur, meanwhile there has a relatively large average solar radiation intensity is 4,784 Wh/m2/day so that potential for PLTS installation. This research aims to determine the performance of monocrystalline solar panels with the addition of a heatsink cooling fan in street lighting. The method used is an experimental. The test begins with the survey, potential calculation, design, testing, data collection and analysis. The solar panel used monocrystalline 10 WP with a heatsink cooling fan. The parameters are the panel temperature, voltage, and current from the solar panel. The results obtained are the temperature on the solar panel without heatsink cooling fan reaches 56.10°C with efficiency 11% and on the solar panel with heatsink cooling fan only gets 45.50°C with efficiency increases to 13%. This shows that the addition of a heatsink cooling fan has succeeded in cooling the temperature of the solar panels and increasing the efficiency level of solar panel performance for street lighting.

Abstract

In the life of the modern era, electricity has become one of the supporters of the energy supply to meet all of human's daily needs. Electricity can be generated from the conversion of natural energy such as sunlight, wind, coal and so on. Generators have become modern renewal machines that can convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. Generator with a work system that utilizes wire coils as a conductor of electricity and the stator and rotor work continuously to convert motion energy into electrical energy. This study aims to answer the problem regarding the efficiency between the two types of AC and DC dynamos. As well as to find out which type of dynamo is suitable for a particular electrical component. The data collection technique was carried out using a System Literature Review (SLR) which was used to identify and study theoretically the power efficiency generated by AC and DC generator dynamos. Dalam kehidupan era modern, listrik telah menjadi salah satu penyokong suplai energi untuk memenuhi semua kebutuhan manusia sehari-hari. Listrik bisa dihasilkan dari konversi energi alam seperti cahaya matahari, angin, batu bara dan sebagainya. Generator telah menjadi mesin pembaruan modern yang dapat mengubah energi mekanik menjadi energi listrik. Generator dengan sistem kerja yang memanfaatkan lilitan kawat sebagai penghantar listrik dan stator serta rotor yang bekerja terus menerus untuk mengkonversi energi gerak menjadi energi listrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab permasalahan menngenai efisiensi antara kedua jenis dinamo AC dan DC. Serta untuk mengetahui dinamo tipe mana yang cocok untuk sebuah komponen listrik tertentu. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan System Literature Review (SLR) yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi serta mengkaji secara teori mengenai efisiensi daya yang dihasilkan dinamo generator AC dan DC.

Abstract

Customers as consumers of products users need to pay attention to the satisfaction they get. The study in this research is about customer satisfaction which is part of the advantages of industrial business in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The method used is a literature study. Data sources are articles in accredited national journals and reputable international journals. The findings show that the industrial revolution 4.0 changed the work system in an industry by utilizing the latest technology to increase competition and seek innovative strategies to achieve customer satisfaction. These findings are expected to provide information to business or corporate users, customers who use the products offered, and government agencies that participate in managing the industrial business so that they can create industrial business flows that are useful for the progress of a country's economy. Pelanggan sebagai konsumen dari pengguna produk perlu diperhatikan mengenai kepuasan yang didapatkan. Kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai kepuasan pelanggan yang merupakan bagian dari keunggulan bisnis industri pada era revolusi industri 4.0. Metode yang digunakan adalah literatur studi. Sumber data adalah artikel dalam jurnal nasional berakreditasi maupuan jurnal internasional bereputasi. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa revolusi industri 4.0 merubah sistem kerja dalam suatu industri dengan memanfaatkan teknologi terkini dalam meningkatkan persaingan dan mencari strategi yang inovatif untuk mencapai kepuasan pelanggan. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi informasi kepada pengguna bisnis atau perusahaan, pelanggan pengguna produk yang ditawarkan serta lembaga pemerintahan yang ikut mengelola bisnis industri sehingga bisa menciptakan arus bisnis industri yang berguna untuk kemajuan perekonomian suatu negara.

Abstract

Distribution of electricity that is too far away can cause the power flow that flows in the distribution channel to be significantly reduced. This also occurs in the PLN distribution line in Krueng Raya Aceh Besar, which is 95 km away, so that the voltage value is often below the standard value. This study analyzes the use of dispersed generators as an alternative solution to overcome this problem while increasing the efficiency of the electricity distribution system. However, the operation of distributed generators can have an impact on distortion harmonics in the voltage, current, and frequency of the power flow in the distribution network system. This study is focused on analyzing the penetration impact of dispersed wind energy generators on the distribution line by conducting simulations using ETAP. The results can increase the average value of the voltage profile by 0.077 kV or 0.39%, reduce power losses by 6.628 kW and THDv values ​​by 0.004% to 0.018% and THDi by 0 on all buses. Penyaluran listrik yang terlalu jauh dapat menyebabkan aliran daya yang mengalir dalam saluran distribusi berkurang secara signifikan. Ini juga terjadi pada saluran distribusi PLN di Krueng Raya Aceh Besar yang jaraknya mencapai 95 km sehingga nilai tegangannya sering berada di bawah nilai standar. Penelitian ini menganalisis penggunaan pembangkit tersebar sebagai alternatif solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut sekaligus meningkatkan efisiensi sistem distribusi listrik. Namun, pengoperasian pembangkit tersebar dapat menimbulkan distorsi harmonisa pada tegangan, arus, dan frekuensi pada aliran daya dalam sistem jaringan distribusi. Studi ini difokuskan pada analisis dampak penetrasi pembangkit tersebar energi angin pada saluran distribusi dengan melakukan simulasi menggunakan ETAP. Hasil penelitian dapat meningkatkan nilai rata-rata profil tegangan sebesar 0,077 kV atau 0,39%, mengurangi rugi-rugi daya sebesar 6,628 kW serta nilai THDv sebesar 0,004% sampai 0,018% dan THDi sebesar 0 pada seluruh bus.

Abstract

Planning a modern open pit mine requires a computer model of the resources and reserves to be mined, both block and grid models. With current technological developments and has entered almost all sectors including the mining sector, as for computer program packages (software) used by the mining industry, namely Microsoft excel, Mincom minescap and others. An evaluation and analysis system of mine plans/ mine schedules is necessary to make predictions of mining operations that will be carried out and can be used to find the cause of deviation or design deviations. There are several weaknesses in making scheduling manually, so scheduling is done using SPRY which is very helpful in the scheduling process.

Abstract

Energy consumption for air conditioning systems and thermal comfort in a building in Indonesia is quite high. The solution that can be developed is to use the thermal inertia stored in the soil. This research aims to design and test the effectiveness of heat transfer between soil-air as a passive coolant in building ventilation systems. This research was conducted for 48 hours, the incoming air velocity was 4.68 m/s, the measurement results showed various weather and temperature conditions including average light intensity of 1822.6 Lux, average ambient temperature of 28.4 °C, average humidity of 99.4%, average room temperature of 30 °C, average water temperature of 28 °C and average soil temperature of 28.1 °C and maximum effectiveness value of 2.46 and minimum air value of 0.9. Experimental results show that groundwater-air heat transfer used as passive cooling in building ventilation systems can provide good performance with temperature reductions reaching 2-10°C. Konsumsi energi untuk sistem pengkondisian udara dan kenyamanan termal bangunan di Indonesia cukup tinggi. Salahsatu solusi yang dikembangkan ialah menggunakan inersia termal yang tersimpan di dalam tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang-bangun serta menguji efektivitas perpindahan kalor antara tanah-udara sebagai pendingin pasif pada sistem ventilasi bangunan. Penelitian dilakukan selama 48 jam dan kecepatan udara masuk 4,68 m/s, hasil pengukuran menunjukan berbagai kondisi cuaca maupun suhu meliputi intensitas cahaya rata-rata 1822,6 Lux, temperature lingkungan rata-rata 28,4 °C, kelembapan rata-rata 99,4 %, temperature ruangan rata-rata 30 °C, temperatur air rata-rata 28 °C dan temperatur tanah rata-rata 28,1 °C dan nilai efektivitas maksimum sebesar 2,46 dan nilai minimum udara sebesar 0,9. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpindahan kalor air tanah-udara yang digunakan sebagai pendingin pasif pada sistem ventilasi bangunan memiliki kinerja yang cukup baik dengan pengurangan temperatur mencapai 2-10°C.

Abstract

Cyclone is a tool for selling particulates from fluid streams without a filter. Cyclone in this case is to separate particulates from the air stream so they don't enter the coal mill. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the cyclone, pressure drop, and head loss in the system. The particles to be separated from the fluid stream are 9 microns in size. Pipe length for flow distribution is 67.24 m and 7 units of elbows. This analysis uses numerical methods with flow simulation features and compares them with theoretical results. Theoretical results obtained a pressure drop of 4042.74 Pa and a head loss of 607.82 m. This pressure drop is greater than the pressure fan, which is 1333 Pa. The simulation results of the inlet pipe 200 with a pressure drop of 4207.42 Pa, a head loss of 632.58 m, and an efficiency of 43%. At the inlet pipe 100 with a pressure drop of 4146.04 Pa, a head loss of 623.35 m, and an efficiency of 17%. At the inlet pipe 250 with a pressure drop of 4362.61 Pa, a head loss of 655.82 m, and an efficiency of 39%. Best results on pipe inlet 200. Cyclone merupakan alat untuk memisahkan partikulat dari aliran fluida tanpa filter. Cyclone dalam hal ini untuk memisahkan partikulat dari aliran udara supaya tidak masuk ke coal mill. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas cyclone, pressure drop, dan head loss pada sistem. Partikel yang akan dipisahkan dari aliran fluida berukuran 9 mikron. Panjang pipa untuk distribusi aliran yaitu 67,24 m dan elbow sebanyak 7 unit. Analisis ini menggunakan metode numerik oleh fitur flow simulation dan membandingkannya dengan hasil teoritis. Hasil teoritis didapatkan pressure drop 4042,74 Pa dan head loss 607,82 m. Pressure drop ini lebih besar dari pressure fan yaitu 1333 Pa. Hasil simulasi inlet pipa 200 dengan pressure drop 4207,42 Pa, head loss 632,58 m, dan efisiensi 43%. Pada inlet pipa 100 dengan pressure drop 4146,04 Pa, head loss 623,35 m, dan efisiensi 17%. Pada inlet pipa 250 dengan pressure drop 4362,61 Pa, head loss 655,82 m, dan efisiensi 39%. Hasil terbaik pada inlet pipa 200.

Abstract

The Sarasah Village Cooperative (KUD Sarasah) located in Nagari III Koto, Rambatan Subdistrict, Tanah Datar Regency plans to build a citronella oil distillation unit. The decision about the location where to build a factory is a strategic decision that needs to be considered carefully, because it involves a large amount of investment and has a long-term impact. This study aims to select the location of the construction of citronella oil distillery. The method used in this research is the Analytical Hierarchy Process. The conclusion that can be drawn regarding the most strategic location for the construction of a citronella oil production house is Aur Serumpun with a weight of 47.9% whereas the Long-Term aspect is the most influential criterion with a weight of 43.4%. KUD Sarasah yang berlokasi di Nagari III Koto, Kecamatan Rambatan, Kabupaten Tanah Datar berencana membangun rumah produksi penyulingan minyak serai wangi. Keputusan tentang lokasi tempat pendirian pabrik merupakan keputusan strategis yang perlu dipertimbangkan secara cermat, karena menyangkut investasi dalam jumlah besar dan memiliki dampak jangka panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memilih lokasi pembangunan rumah produksi minyak serai wangi. Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah Analytical Hierarchy Process. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil terkait lokasi yang paling strategis sebagai tempat pembangunan rumah produksi minyak serai wangi adalah di Aur Serumpun dengan bobot sebesar 47,9% dimana aspek Jangka Panjang adalah kriteria yang paling mempengaruhi keputusan penentuan lokasi dengan bobot 43,4%.

Abstract

The automotive industry in Indonesia is one of the important pillars in the manufacturing sector. High speed productivity and high-level quality of their products are required for increasing the company value. The car roof inspection is still in low speed and inadequate quality control method for most of the car company’s manufacturing production line. This inspection process is highly dependent to human expertise and skill of the assembly operators. This study purposes to increase the productivity in the inspection line by eliminate human error using computer vision. This research aims to find an automatic and accurate method for visual inspection of the color quality and scratch defect on car roof surfaces, using the data generated from the standardized database QR Code. The proposed solution uses MobileNet-SSD method of computer vision in recognizing scratch defects, while color detection of the roof is attained through hue saturation method. The study employs data capture from a camera and compares the amount of object inspected in real time. The scratch inspection with 70 image samples and 4000 training steps results in a 3.33% error with color detection and inspection success rate of 80%.

Abstract

Quadcopters have become popular in various fields, such as environmental surveying, mapping, monitoring, and rescue operations. However, controlling the trajectory of a quadcopter remains a major challenge. In this article, we propose an adaptive PID control approach based on ROS (Robot Operating System) to control the motion of a quadcopter. We tested the proposed control model on a simulation platform and on a physical quadcopter system. Simulation results demonstrate better control capabilities than conventional PID control approaches. Additionally, the proposed control system successfully controlled the quadcopter accurately on multiple different trajectories in the physical system. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the adaptive PID control approach in tracking the quadcopter's trajectory with greater accuracy. Experiment results show that the proposed control system is highly suitable for more advanced quadcopter applications and allows for more accurate navigation. Quadcopter telah menjadi populer dalam aplikasi berbagai bidang, seperti survei lingkungan, pemetaan, pemantauan dan penyelamatan. Namun, pengendalian trajektori quadcopter masih menjadi tantangan besar. Dalam artikel ini, kami mengusulkan pendekatan kontrol pid adaptif berbasis ROS (Robot Operating System) untuk mengendalikan gerakan quadcopter. Kami menguji model kontrol yang diusulkan pada platform simulasi dan pada sistem fisik quadcopter. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan kemampuan kontrol yang lebih baik dari pendekatan kontrol pid konvensional. Selain itu, sistem kontrol yang diusulkan berhasil mengendalikan quadcopter pada beberapa lintasan berbeda secara akurat pada sistem fisik. Kami menunjukkan efektivitas pendekatan kontrol pid adaptif dalam melacak lintasan quadcopter dengan akurasi yang lebih baik. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa sistem kontrol yang diusulkan sangat mampu digunakan pada aplikasi quadcopter yang lebih canggih dan memungkinkan navigasi yang lebih akurat.
