Abstract

Roads are very important because they help the economy of a region grow. Many roads are still poorly designed and constructed, especially in Indonesia. One way to improve the quality of asphalt is to add additives. One material that could make asphalt more valuable and be used as an additive is nanomaterial. This test was done to learn about pen 60/70 asphalt with 2% and 4% nano silica additives. The test uses an experimental research method. It involves testing in the laboratory. The results of testing pen 60/70 asphalt with 2% and 4% nano silica additives showed an increase in values for penetration, softening point, flash point, viscosity, and specific gravity, and a decrease in values for ductility, solubility, and oil weight loss (TFOT).

Abstract

This study will discuss the application of the SCOR model as a supply chain performance measurement model and the AHP method used for decision making and priority placement in a structured process. In 2023, DISKOUMPRINDAG and DKPP experienced problems due to the increase in the price of basic necessities, especially rice in Serang Regency, based on the recap of the development of the price of basic necessities in Serang Regency in 2023, there was an increase in the price of Kw 1 rice by 22% and Kw 2 by 19%. This situation requires both agencies to play an active role and collaborate in dealing with the price increase. If not handled properly, this condition has the potential to trigger an economic crisis at the regional level. The research method uses the SCOR model and the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the performance of the rice supply chain in Serang Regency is in an Average condition with a performance value of 52.23. The source criteria have the most weight of 30% followed by make and plan which are both at 20% after which is deliver with a weight of 13% and return occupies the last place with a weight of 12%. It is hoped that research suggestions can continue to the development stage so that they can ensure increased performance in the supply chain and no decline in performance.

Abstract

Rapid urbanization has led to an increased demand for land, often at the expense of the environment. In response, rain gardens have emerged as a popular and sustainable solution for managing stormwater. This study focuses on evaluating how rain gardens in Kota Baru Parahyangan (KBP), Bandung, contribute to improving community satisfaction and enhancing environmental quality.Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research gathered data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that rain gardens in KBP effectively manage stormwater runoff, reduce flood risks, and improve air quality. Beyond these benefits, they also enhance biodiversity, beautify the surroundings, and support efforts toward achieving carbon neutrality, the environmental impact assessment (AMDAL) data for the KBP area indicates a reduction of 1°C in the local temperature. The community has expressed high satisfaction with the presence of rain gardens, recognizing their significant environmental benefits and positive impact on quality of life. However, the study also highlights challenges, such as the need for more regular maintenance. Overall, the adoption of rain gardens in KBP is a significant step toward building a sustainable urban environment. Integrating rain gardens into urban planning is strongly recommended to improve the quality of life in cities. The study also suggests expanding this initiative to other areas and emphasizes the importance of involving the community in planning and managing rain gardens to ensure their long-term success.

Abstract

In the face of increasingly intense business competition, the implementation of an effective Quality Management System (QMS) has become a key factor in enhancing a company’s competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System at PT. STK, focusing on the development of quality objectives based on the SMART principles (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) and the quantitative evaluation of their achievement. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method through document analysis, interviews, and direct observation. The data sources included the 2024 external ISO 9001:2015 audit results, documented quality objectives, and performance evaluation records. The findings revealed weaknesses in the formulation of quality objectives, particularly in terms of measurability and time-bound criteria, which reduced their effectiveness in supporting strategic decision-making. Prior to improvement, most quality objectives did not meet the measurable and time-bound aspects of SMART. After reformulation based on SMART principles and the implementation of quantitative performance evaluation, all divisional quality objectives fulfilled the SMART criteria. The improvement implemented through the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) approach led to significant enhancements in quality performance, as evidenced by a reduction in the product reject rate from 1.2% to 0.6% and an increase in the internal audit score from 78 (fair) to 90 (good). This study concludes that integrating SMART principles with quantitative evaluation and the PDCA cycle effectively improves QMS performance and product quality consistency. It is recommended that the company maintain periodic evaluations and strengthen cross-divisional involvement in the formulation and monitoring of quality objectives to ensure continuous improvement.

Abstract

The development of Agro-Educational Tourism is now growing rapidly as an effort to restore the community's economy through the tourism and agriculture sectors. Sindulang Village, Sumedang Regency, is located in the Gunung Kereceng area and is one of the potential locations for developing Agro-Educational Tourism. The challenges faced in managing this area include the need for integrated tourism management and educational capabilities to enhance the visitor experience. Additionally, some visitors get lost due to the lack of directional signs. Therefore, it is necessary to create more displays to reduce difficulties in reaching the intended location. This study aims to design and create directional signboards and tourist attraction name boards in the Baruimun-Hill, applying the principles of ergonomics. The research steps included problem analysis, site surveys, data collection from 44 students, data calculation, followed the creation and installation of the display. Ergonomic principles were applied in determining the dimensions of the letters, the distance, and the color to ensure readability and visual appeal. As a result, the directional signs have a visibility distance of 18 meters with a letter height of 90 mm, while the tourist attraction signs have a visibility distance of 50 meters with a letter height of 250 mm. The combination of a brown background and white lettering was chosen for its high contrast and suitability to the environment. This implementation not only makes it easier for visitors but also enhances the tourist experience, supports the development of the tourist area, and creates visual with ergonomic principles.

Abstract

AISI1045 steel is widely used as an automotive component for example for gear components in motorized vehicles. In its application steel type AISI 1045 must have resistance and hardness to wear. This study aims to determine the effect of cooling media on hardness and depth of hardness and microstructure of Steel AISI 1045. The material is heat treated hardening Flame using oxy-acetylen gas with a holding time of 1 minute 30 seconds and quenching with a variety of cooling media (Water, Oil 10W40, and Oil 20W / 50) and holding time 1 hour. From the water cooling media produced the highest average hardness of 62.78 HRA, and the smallest was 52.34 HRA on oil cooling media 20W / 50. The results of the microstructure showed differences in grain size and number of porosity where the water cooling medium has a smaller grain size compared to 10W40 Oil cooling media, and 20W / 50 Oil and more porosity is found in water cooling media. From the results of the SEM test with 1000x magnification obtained the value of the depth of hardness using a mathematical approach with water cooling medium has the highest depth of 0.037 mm. This is because the water viscosity is lower compared to 10W / 40 Oil cooling media and 20W / 50 Oil so that the water cooling media produces a higher hardness value to Steel AISI 1045.
