Abstract

Climate change, driven by rising greenhouse gas emissions, significantly impacts our planet. The construction sector, a major contributor to these emissions, demands a shift towards sustainable building practices. Green infrastructure (GI) offers a promising solution by integrating environmental principles into design and construction. This research investigates the understanding, challenges, and readiness of civil engineering graduates in implementing GI. Utilizing a survey-based approach with master's students at Sangga Buana University, the study analyzed the perceptions of students from different backgrounds: Civil Engineering, Other Engineering, and Non-Engineering. Results indicate that Civil Engineering students demonstrate a higher level of awareness and understanding of GI, influenced by their curriculum's focus on sustainable infrastructure development. However, challenges such as cost constraints and limited managerial support persist. Despite these challenges, civil engineering graduates exhibit a greater readiness to embrace and implement GI concepts.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the influence of religiosity and Sharia financial literacy on the interest of Gen Z students of the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in saving in Sharia banks. The population of this study were students at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta at Strata 1 level who belong to the Generation Z or Gen Z category, were Muslim and had not saved in a Sharia bank. The research method used quantitative methods. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS version 24 software tools. The results obtained in this study showed that religiosity had a positive and significant effect on Gen Z's interest in saving in Sharia banks whereas Sharia financial literacy had a positive and significant effect on Gen Z's interest in saving in Sharia banks. Further, religiosity and Sharia financial literacy simultaneously influence Gen Z's interest in saving in Sharia banks.

Abstract

Indonesia's energy demand continues to increase, with a primary reliance on fossil fuels that contribute to environmental issues, such as rising CO₂ emissions. To address this challenge, this study explores the potential of renewable energy from wave and ocean current sources. The research process analyzes the energy potential generated from waves and ocean currents across Indonesian waters using the WAVEWATCH-III method to model ocean data over a 10-year period, focusing on energy potential at strategic locations in Indonesian waters. The results show that the energy potential from ocean currents ranges between 120–150 kW, with strategic locations around straits, such as the Makassar Strait and the Java Sea. Meanwhile, the wave energy potential reaches approximately 2.5 GW over a three-month period, thanks to Indonesia’s extensive coastline of 99,093 km. Spatial and temporal analyses reveal significant variations in Sea Level Anomaly (SLA) values, which can be utilized for the development of renewable energy projects. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for a deeper understanding of ocean current and wave dynamics to maximize the utilization of renewable energy potential in Indonesia. Spatial and temporal analyses show significant variations in SLA values across Indonesia, reflecting the dynamics of ocean currents. Understanding these changes is crucial for planning adaptive ocean current energy projects, and seasonal trend analysis can help optimize the use of ocean current patterns.

Abstract

Deep eutectic solvents (DES) are a novel category of environmentally friendly solvents created by the interaction of hydrogen bond donors (HBDs) and acceptors (HBAs) in precise molar ratios, exhibiting unique physicochemical characteristics. DES have low volatility, non-flammability, and great stability, making them ecologically benign substitutes for traditional solvents. The essential physical qualities of DES, including density, viscosity, and thermal stability, are pivotal to its operation. These characteristics are affected by parameters like as temperature, component mix, and molar ratios, enabling customisation for particular purposes. DES have shown considerable promise in several domains, including electrochemistry, material synthesis, and environmentally friendly chemical processes, owing to their adaptability and safety. In the realm of polyurethane (PU) solubilisation, deep eutectic solvents (DES) have notable potential. The solubilization process is ascribed to the breakdown of the polymer’s hydrogen bonds and the dissolving of urethane connections by the DES components, helped by their strong hydrogen bond network. By customising DES characteristics, researchers may enhance the breakdown process for PU, offering a sustainable solution to plastic waste issues. The basic features, physical and chemical properties, wide range of uses, and potential for developing PU solubilisation technologies of DES are highlighted in this paper.

Abstract

Family food security can be improved through the cultivation of Fruit Plants in Pots (Tabulampot) in home gardens. However, watering plants often becomes a challenge due to limitations in time, labor, and water usage efficiency. This study aims to develop an automatic drip irrigation system based on a microcontroller that can simplify plant care and optimize water usage. The system uses the NodeMCU8266 microcontroller, a Real-Time Clock (RTC) module, a relay, and a 12V water pump to control automatic watering based on a preset schedule. System testing shows that the relay operates effectively, controlling the pump to turn on for 2 minutes and off for 2 minutes according to the schedule programmed via the RTC. All components function stably without issues, and the system is effective in supporting water usage efficiency, especially in areas with limited water resources. The results of this study demonstrate that this automatic irrigation system provides a practical solution for time-based irrigation, which can be applied to Tabulampot cultivation. The system also opens opportunities for further development to improve its effectiveness and flexibility in home-based agricultural applications.

Abstract

Environmental damage caused by business activities opens up opportunities for business actors to apply the green marketing concept. Components such as green brand image and green trust are important elements of green marketing that can increase customer loyalty, along with increasing public awareness of the importance of protecting the environment. This research aims to test the significant and positive influence, both partially and simultaneously, of green brand image and green trust on I.C.O Water customer loyalty in Laok Jang-Jang Village, Arjasa District, Sumenep Regency. This research uses quantitative methods by collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. The research population was all I.C.O Water customers, with a sample of 80 people selected using purposive sampling techniques. The sample size is determined based on the Roscoe formula because the population size is unknown. The research results show that partially, the variables Green Brand Image (X1) and Green Trust (X2) have a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty (Y), so that the first and second hypotheses are accepted. Simultaneously, all independent variables (green brand image and green trust) have a significant influence on customer loyalty, so that the fourth hypothesis is accepted. This research concludes that implementing green marketing strategies, especially through strengthening green brand image and green trust, can be a key factor in increasing I.C.O Water customer loyalty.

Abstract

Sustainability-focused marketing approaches are gaining increasing attention, particularly in supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) committed to achieving carbon neutrality as part of collective responsibility towards climate change. Social media has become an effective strategic tool to efficiently reach a broader audience, with platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok providing opportunities to strengthen emotional connections, enhance customer loyalty, and support sustainability programs.This study focuses on PT Lucky Shot, an MSME in the billiard sports sector, which faces challenges in maintaining competitiveness in a dynamic market while adhering to its commitment to environmental sustainability. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach to analyze the application of environmentally focused marketing strategies through social media at PT Lucky Shot. Data were collected through literature reviews and direct observation of the company’s social media marketing activities.The study provides in-depth insights into patterns, challenges, and opportunities in integrating sustainability strategies with social media marketing. It is designed to develop an applicable sustainability-based marketing model aimed at supporting the achievement of carbon neutrality targets while enhancing the competitiveness and reputation of MSMEs

Abstract

Wood waste constitutes a significant component of solid waste, attributable to the rising demand for household and office furniture. A viable solution to mitigate this issue entails the recycling of wood waste into charcoal briquettes through the implementation of a sustainable supply chain method. This recycling process is anticipated to generate added value for furniture craftsmen, particularly in terms of economic enhancement. The first step in this research is to conduct interviews with furniture craftsmen to ascertain the volume of wood waste generated on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, as well as the selling price of the wood waste. Next, the recycling process of wood waste into briquette charcoal is carried out to determine the amount of briquette charcoal produced. The results of the process demonstrate that converting wood waste into briquetted charcoal can significantly increase the added value, thereby providing economic benefits for furniture craftsmen. From economic calculations, briquetted charcoal that undergoes a recycling process and additional ingredients has an estimated selling value of four times that of wood waste that is not processed or sold directly to other parties.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of family in increasing the work motivation of Pertamina Exploration and Production of Sangatta's employees which covers four dimensions, namely education, protection, affection, and economy. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach using slovin in determining the number of respondents. The results showed that the role of the family of Pertamina Exploration and Production of Sangatta's employees has been carried out well. This can be seen from the total respondent's answer score is 3,968. However, to optimize the increase in employee motivation, researchers suggest that families apply protection and economic as optimally as possible.
