Abstract

Graduate quality serves as the primary indicator of an educational institution’s success, including Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), which have a dual orientation: developing students’ academic competence and spirituality. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of spiritual leadership, teacher competence, and learning organization culture on graduate quality, as well as to examine the moderating role of learning organization culture in these relationships. This study employs a quantitative explanatory approach using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS) method. The research population includes teachers, school principals, and students from four formal educational institutions under the auspices of Pesantren Al Amien Jember. The results reveal that: (1) spiritual leadership has a positive and significant effect on graduate quality (P-Value = 0.000); (2) teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on graduate quality (P-Value = 0.000); (3) learning organization culture has a positive and significant effect on graduate quality (P-Value = 0.018); (4) learning organization culture moderates the effect of spiritual leadership on graduate quality (P-Value = 0.010); and (5) learning organization culture also moderates the effect of teacher competence on graduate quality (P-Value = 0.032). These findings affirm that visionary spiritual leadership, excellent teacher competence, and an adaptive, collaborative learning organization culture play crucial roles in enhancing the quality of pesantren graduates. Practically, the results recommend the development of a sustainable learning culture within pesantren environments to produce graduates who are of strong character, globally competitive, and capable of contributing positively to society.

Abstract

Food security is one of Indonesia’s strategic development issues, facing complex challenges such as climate change, land degradation, and fluctuations in global food prices. The green economy is considered a potential framework for transitioning toward food security by emphasizing resource efficiency, renewable energy, and inclusive governance. This study aims to examine the concepts and strategic approaches of the green economy in supporting the transition toward national food security in Indonesia. The method employed is a systematic literature review of 15 scientific articles published over the past decade, retrieved from Scopus and Google Scholar databases, with relevance criteria focusing on green economy and food security. The findings indicate that green economy strategies in the food sector encompass sustainable agriculture, efficient resource management, renewable energy utilization, food technology innovation, and the strengthening of community-based food governance. However, several challenges remain, including limited access to green technologies for smallholder farmers, weak policy consistency, and regional adaptation disparities. This study concludes that the green economy is not merely a conceptual framework but also a practical strategy for achieving national food security, contributing significantly to the integration of ecological and social perspectives in food policy.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of the Gender Development Index (GDI) and Gender Empowerment Index (GEI) in Bengkulu City from 2019 to 2023 and identifies local factors influencing their changes. Using a quantitative descriptive approach and secondary data from the Bengkulu Province Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the analysis focuses on GDI dimensions such as health, education, and economy and GEI determinants such as women’s participation in parliament, income contribution, and professional representation. The study employs a gender and development framework to interpret equality progress and policy implications. Findings reveal that Bengkulu City’s GDI increased by 0.15 points, reaching 96.12 in 2023, indicating improved gender parity in development outcomes. Conversely, the GEI decreased by 4.41 points to 75.94, highlighting persistent challenges in women’s empowerment, particularly in politics and professional sectors. Contributing factors include limited female representation in parliament, fluctuating women’s income contributions due to the rise of female breadwinners, and the persistence of the glass ceiling restricting women’s career advancement. These findings suggest that while gender equality in basic development indicators has improved, empowerment dimensions remain constrained, emphasizing the need for targeted and sustainable gender-responsive policies.

Abstract

Social media has transformed public interaction between governments and citizens, making it a vital tool for digital participation in policymaking. However, it has also enabled the spread of misinformation, especially regarding government initiatives like Indonesia's Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, which faced false claims about food safety and cancellations. This study explores how government institutions use social media to enhance public engagement in combating such misinformation. Through a qualitative approach, the research examines existing literature on government social media use and digital participation strategies, focusing on the MBG hoax case. The findings show that while government social media is effective for information dissemination, it lacks deeper public interaction. The study emphasizes the need for more transparent communication, timely responses, and participatory content creation. It concludes with recommendations to improve institutional coordination, citizen engagement, and media literacy efforts to better counter misinformation.

Abstract

Literacy and numeracy skills are essential basic skills for student learning success, but achievement levels in Indonesia are still far from expectations. Deep learning methods are proposed as a modern solution that focuses on meaningful conceptual understanding, active student participation, and the development of critical, reflective, and creative thinking skills. By using approaches such as problem-based learning, project-based learning, and collaborative discussions supported by digital technology, deep learning can efficiently combine literacy and numeracy in real learning situations. The application of this approach not only serves to improve reading, comprehension, and numeracy skills in a practical way but also helps shape adaptable and independent characters, in line with the vision of the Merdeka Curriculum. It is hoped that applying deep learning in literacy and numeracy will produce a generation of students who are superior and ready to face the challenges of the 21st century comprehensively and sustainably.

Abstract

This research delves into the asymmetry of rights and obligations between parking operators and consumers arising from the inclusion of exoneration clauses that absolve operators from accountability for vehicle loss or damage. The primary objective of this inquiry is to scrutinize the legitimacy of such clauses through the lens of the principle of contractual autonomy and the Consumer Protection Act, as well as to elucidate their implications for the legal standing of individuals utilizing parking facilities. This research uses a normative legal method and considers both statutory and conceptual approaches to investigate key legal documents such as the Civil Code and Law No. 8 of 1999 regarding Consumer Protection. The findings reveal that exoneration clauses inscribed on parking tickets lack juridical justification, as they contravene Article 18 of the Consumer Protection Law and engender an inequitable contractual relationship between the parties. These clauses weaken the consumer’s position by eliminating the right to compensation and contradict the principle of the deposit agreement, which requires operators to maintain the security of consumers’ vehicles.
