Abstract

Women working in male-dominated industries such as mining often face distinctive organizational challenges related to work-life integration, job-role alignment, and inclusion. Drawing on theories of person-job fit and organizational commitment. This research delves into the connections between balancing work and personal life, matching individuals to suitable job roles, promoting diversity and inclusion, and how they all impact the job satisfaction and dedication to the organization amongst women working in the coal mining industry in Indonesia. Information was gathered from 169 female workers via a detailed online questionnaire and studied using PLS-SEM. Findings indicate that the compatibility of a person with their job has the most significant positive impact on job satisfaction, while work-life balance shows a negative correlation. Diversity and inclusion also exhibit a significant, though comparatively weaker, positive relationship with job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction fully mediates the effects of the independent variables on organizational commitment. These findings extend prior research on gendered work environments by highlighting the central role of job satisfaction as a mechanism linking contextual work factors to attitudinal outcomes in underrepresented female employee populations.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of learning motivation, lecturer support, and learning environment on English language proficiency for maritime work, with the English for Maritime textbook serving as a mediating variable among students at the Maritime Academy of Banyuwangi. Employing a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from 178 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. The research instrument used a five-point Likert scale questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The outer model evaluation confirmed convergent and discriminant validity, with all factor loadings above 0.70, Cronbach’s Alpha and Composite Reliability exceeding 0.70, and AVE values above 0.50. The inner model evaluation revealed R-square values of 0.45 for the English for Maritime textbook and 0.62 for English proficiency, indicating moderate to substantial explanatory power. Hypothesis testing through bootstrapping demonstrated that learning motivation, lecturer support, and learning environment significantly influenced English proficiency, both directly and indirectly, through the mediating role of the textbook. Among the predictors, motivation showed the strongest direct effect, while the textbook demonstrated a significant mediating contribution. These findings highlight the importance of integrating motivational strategies, lecturer engagement, and supportive environments with context-specific instructional materials to enhance English language competence for international maritime communication.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Qur'anic values through the Coffee Morning approach in character education learning at Al Razi Sinar Harapan Private Vocational School, Medan, Johor. Character education is a national urgency in forming a generation that is not only intellectually superior, but also moral and spiritual. The phenomenon of adolescent moral degradation, such as fights, disrespectful behavior towards teachers, and social ethical crises, emphasizes the need for learning innovations based on religious values. This study uses a descriptive-exploratory qualitative approach with 50 subjects of grades X–XII, which are divided into seven discussion groups. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation during the implementation of Coffee Morning in July-September 2025. The results of the study show that Coffee Morning is effective in internalizing the values of the Qur'an, including gratitude, honesty, discipline, responsibility, solidarity, and respect for teachers and parents. The relaxed and dialogical atmosphere encourages students to be more open to reflecting on life experiences and relating them to the message of the Qur'an. The impact can be seen in improving discipline, communication skills, learning motivation, spiritual awareness, and social solidarity. Coffee Morning also strengthens the teacher-student relationship and has a positive influence on the family.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) identify the factors triggering early marriage in Banyuwangi Regency; 2) examine public perceptions of early marriage; and 3) develop an integrative model to address early marriage through a Legal Anthropology approach. A qualitative research method with a critical analysis approach was employed, covering research location and timeframe, approach, data sources, data collection and validation techniques, and data analysis Finding indicate that Client-Centered Therapy (CCT) based on Legal Anthropology provides an effective alternative strategy to address persistent early marriage cases. This approach positions individuals as central agents in solution-finding while integrating cultural, customary, and legal contexts. Counselors facilitate adolescents, parents, and community leaders in expressing experiences, motivations, and social pressures underlying early marriage. The model harmonizes state law, customary law, and religious values, avoiding cultural conflicts. Its implementation has enhanced dialogue between youth and families, increased awareness of early marriage’s negative impacts, and established community-based prevention mechanisms. Thus, CCT grounded in Legal Anthropology not only empowers individual decision-making but also promotes social transformation toward child protection and gender equality.

Abstract

Wayang Wahyu play "Musa Sang Pembebas" is a form of inculturation of the Catholic faith and Javanese culture through puppet performance. The story of Moses from Exodus 14:15–15:1 was adapted as a symbol of liberation and the spirit of nationalism. This performance involved the students of SMP PL Bintang Laut Surakarta and was innovatively packaged with Indonesian, gamelan, dance, and theater so that it was easy for the younger generation to understand. This study uses an aesthetic reception approach with the method of sanggit and pakeliran. The results show that the proclamation of faith through local cultural media can strengthen religiosity, foster nationalism, and strengthen the attachment of the younger generation to cultural heritage. This work reflects the spirit of "100% Catholic, 100% Indonesian" as a form of synergy of faith and love for the homeland.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology have had a major impact on education systems around the world, including in Indonesia. The implementation of various innovations such as e-learning, Learning Management Systems (LMS), artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR/AR) technology has increased access to and enriched the learning process. However, challenges such as infrastructure limitations, low digital competence among educators, and lack of policy support remain obstacles to achieving quality education in the digital age. This study aims to comprehensively describe the influence of digital learning technology on the quality of education in Indonesia. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA protocol. The results of the analysis reveal four main themes: (1) the effectiveness of digital-based learning in increasing motivation and learning achievement, (2) equitable access and the challenges of the digital divide, (3) educator readiness and digital capabilities, and (4) policies, infrastructure, and institutional support in driving educational transformation. These findings confirm that the success of digital learning implementation is not only determined by technology, but also by collaboration between educators, educational institutions, and government policies.

Abstract

Women's empowerment is an important aspect of development, because women play a strategic role in improving the welfare of families and communities. In Samarinda City, many women serve as heads of families and face economic and educational challenges. This study aims to analyze the implementation of non-formal education through the Women's School Academy (WSA) program, part of PEKKA (Empowerment of Women Heads of Families), and identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with PEKKA program facilitators and representatives from the Samarinda Women and Children Protection Office (DP2PA), as well as document analysis. The results of the study show that WSA has strengthened the economic independence of participants through providing support for business capacity building, assistance in legal business registration (NIB, PIRT, halal certification), and increasing financial literacy. In addition, the program fosters social solidarity, emotional support, and develops leadership and organizational skills among women. This study concludes that non-formal education through WSA makes a significant contribution to the empowerment of women heads of families and supports sustainable community development in Samarinda.

Abstract

The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in vocational education, particularly in Vocational High Schools (SMK), has a significant impact on improving students' employability skills. This study aims to examine the impact of AI integration in vocational education, focusing on the development of technical skills (hard skills) and interpersonal skills (soft skills). Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this article analyzes various studies discussing the implementation of AI in vocational education, as well as the challenges and opportunities that exist. The findings indicate that AI can improve learning effectiveness through personalized materials, the use of industry-based simulations, and the development of communication and collaboration skills among students. However, challenges faced include limited infrastructure, a lack of technical skills among educators, and resistance to change from schools and students. This study also emphasizes the need for educational policies that support technological development, improve educator skills, and strengthen collaboration between education and industry to create curricula relevant to job market needs, so that vocational high school graduates can compete globally in an increasingly digital world.
