Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of online learning between PGRI Banyuwangi University and PGRI Mahadewa University Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic. So that the learning process continues to run well and keeps the quality of education high, universities collaborate in organizing a flexible learning system. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative. Data was collected using literature study, document analysis, observation, and interviews. The informants in this research were 30 students from both universities who took Cultural History courses. The research results showed that this collaborative learning focused on online learning design to create social interaction and a humanist side of learning. It leads to effective learning, namely social interaction in the online learning process and performance between students. Collaboration-based online learning design was managed in the following way: (1) collaboration-based online learning planning begins with needs analysis; (2) the implementation of collaboration-based online learning is carried out by providing teaching materials in the LMS and then accessing them independently. Furthermore, the effectiveness of collaboration-based online learning was obtained through involvement in completing assignments through integrated online worksheets and group work.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of the service learning model to form student civic engagement, which is motivated by the lack of opportunities for students to become subjects in learning and the lack of student involvement in working together as a team. The method used in the research was qualitative with a descriptive approach. The subjects in the research were class VII students at State Junior High School 2 Airmadidi using data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that applying the service learning model to form civic engagement can be done through steps. First, students were divided into 4-5 heterogeneous members. At this stage, students made notes which were written and summarized. Second, students found and identified problems faced outside the classroom. Students exchange ideas about solutions that will be presented in solving problems. Third, conveying the results to educators to find solutions to problems. The final step was a group presentation in the question-and-answer process and making conclusions. The conclusion shows that the service-learning model can form civic engagement.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the factors that influence students' beliefs that mathematics is difficult and how to change students' beliefs that mathematics is not difficult. This research method used a Systematic Literature Review with a qualitative approach. This data was obtained from the thematic analysis of several books and articles discussing 'intelligence", "mathematics," and "mindset" those researchers obtained from Google Scholar. The research results showed that parents, teachers, and peers influence students who think intelligence did not change and could be changed. Apart from that, with a fixed mindset, someone might think that mathematics was difficult because the task given was difficult, assume that if the achievement was low, then mathematics was also low, lack motivation after experiencing failure, and mathematics could not be completed if done for a long period. Parents had the biggest influence on students' mindsets. Genes and socioeconomic background were not the reason. Parental parenting patterns that prioritized performance over process influenced students' thinking patterns. Another biggest influence was the teacher. Like parents, teachers who assess based on performance rather than process would make students lose self-confidence when they fail. Teachers who supported their students to surrender to their situation also made students unmotivated to study mathematics more deeply. Collaboration between teachers, parents, and peers is needed to change a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. Constructive feedback is needed so students are always oriented towards a process without results.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the nature literacy revolution, particularly service management strategies using information and communication technology in two Nature Schools, namely SD Anak Saleh and MI Bilingual Al Ikhlas. The research method employed in this study was a qualitative case study approach involving school principals, teachers, nature school coordinators, and students as informants. This research data was obtained through observation, interviews, and literature review techniques, which were then analyzed using an interactive model. The study's findings reveal the significant role of Nature Schools in transforming the educational paradigm, making nature experiences the core of learning, and leveraging ICT to enhance students' ecological understanding. Despite both schools successfully creating inclusive environments and integrating ICT into the learning process, challenges such as financial support and community interest persist. These research findings provide insights into how the Nature Literacy Revolution can be realized through Nature Schools and inspire other educational institutions to adopt a similar approach—emphasizing nature experiences, collaborative learning, and experience-based approaches.

Abstract

This research aims to produce inquiry-based e-teaching materials on environmental pollution to improve student's literacy skills in terms of validity, effectiveness, and practicality. This study used the research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. This study was carried out in a senior high school in Cimahi. The e-teaching materials trial was conducted in two classes, with the experimental class using e-teaching materials and the control class as a comparison using traditional school textbooks. The e-book validation instrument used in this study was a questionnaire sheet. Validation analysis was the data analysis method employed, and the t-test and N-gain were utilized to examine the effectiveness of the instructional materials. The study's findings demonstrated that the inquiry-based teaching materials on environmental pollution material were declared valid and suitable for use in the biology learning process. According to the outcomes of employing inquiry-based e-teaching resources to enhance environmental literacy abilities, the experimental class's N-gain value was higher than the average n-gain value for the control class. Therefore, inquiry-based online teaching resources are practical and effective at enhancing students' environmental literacy abilities.
