Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the CTL model on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Peunaga Cut Ujong and to find out how much influence the CTL  model has on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Peunaga. Cut Ujong. The approach in this study uses a quantitative approach. This type of research uses a pre-experimental design. The population in this study were the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Peunaga Cut Ujong, as many as 26 students. The sampling technique used in this research is intact-group comparison. The sample in this study was 13 students in the experimental class and as many as 13 students in the control class. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, tests, and documentation. This study's instruments used to collect data consisted of observation sheets, test sheets, and validation sheets. The results of this study are from the analysis obtained tcount = 0.965 > ttable = 0.05, it is concluded that the hypothesis is accepted, the conclusion is that there is a difference or influence of the CTL model on student learning outcomes between students who are taught using the CTL with students who are taught by not using CTL model.

Abstract

Every learner matters equally despite all learning needs, and to achieve this, the implementation of inclusion is important, especially in teaching and learning. Inclusion means providing opportunities for all students with unique learning needs to learn with other students in a general educational environment. Successful inclusive education acknowledges, comprehends, and addresses student variety and variances. This present study aimed to know the implementation of inclusion programs in the Performing Arts class at XYZ School. The study involved eight Arts teachers. The research used a research design to obtain data or information through teachers’ questionnaires and open-ended questions through interviews about inclusion programs, especially in Performing Arts education. The questions were designed in a Likert Scale format. The finding showed that most teachers understand the importance of inclusion programs in teaching and learning. The result showed that 2 (25 %) teachers strongly agreed and 6 (75%) teachers agreed that the inclusion program is important to be implemented in the school. Some strategies and challenges were also shared during the interview. Hence, to complete this challenging task, teachers, parents, and schools need to collaborate to achieve common objectives. Furthermore, facilities, professional development, training, and collaboration are essential to support inclusion. The study's findings, teachers, believe that inclusion programs are important, and to complete this challenging task, teachers, parents, and schools need to collaborate to achieve common objectives

Abstract

Many of us sometimes fail or misinterpret ADHD children by not understanding fully their traits and symptoms. As a result, many ADHD children are viewed as marginal students at school since they can’t meet academic standards. Thus, the purpose of this study is to identify ADHD traits and implement effective teaching strategies for ADHD children which can develop their multiple intelligences. Knowing and applying effective methods and strategies for teaching ADHD children are very essential for them to achieve academic success. Therefore, through this research hopefully, teachers can identify ADHD children and implement effective teaching strategies that can develop multiple intelligences for ADHD children optimally. This research is qualitative research with a literature study approach. The results of this research are characteristics of ADHD and effective teaching strategies including assessment and tools that can be used in a classroom that can help to develop 9 multiple intelligences.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine whether role-play significantly affects students' speaking ability at the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Ulu Barumun.The population of this research is the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Ulu Barumun, which is consisted of 205 students, and the sample was taken by cluster sampling that consists of 35 students. This research is carried out using the experimental method. Furthermore, the instrument used for collecting the data is by giving the test. After collecting the data, it was analyzed by using t.test.After analyzing the data, there is a significant effect of teaching speaking using role play teaching technique at the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Ulu Barumun and categorized very well. It was found that the mean or the average of the student's score after the treatment was 83.11. Using statistical analysis, the researchers get to 42.05, where the value of t.table  is 1.69. It means that the value of t observed is greater than that of the t table (to = 42.05 > t table = 1.69). It means that there is a significant effect of teaching by using role-play on students' speaking ability. The alternative hypothesis of this research is accepted. The value of the coefficient of determination is 0.86, which means role play affects the students' speaking ability by as much as 86 %.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine whether there is a significant effect of using the Inquiry teaching method on students' vocabulary achievement among the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Barumun. The population of this research is the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Barumun, which consists of 54 students, and the sample was taken by cluster sampling composed of 27 students. This research is carried out by using experimental methods. The test is used as the instrument of this research, after collecting the data, it was analyzed using the t.test formula. The data analysis found that the mean or average of students' scores after the treatment is 80.55. Using the statistical analysis, the researchers get to 28.80, where the value of t.table  is 2.05. It means that the value of t observed is greater than that of the t table (to = 28.80> t table = 2.05). The calculation of the coefficient of determination is 0.84, which means the inquiry teaching method affected students' vocabulary achievement by as much as 84%. It means that the Inquiry teaching method significantly affects teaching vocabulary. The alternative hypothesis of this research is accepted, and the Inquiry teaching method can be applied in the classroom to increase the student's vocabulary achievement.

Abstract

Acquisition of a second language means a human process of acquiring the ability to generate, capture, and use words unconsciously to communicate. This study aims to find out what vocabulary three-year-old children receive from their habit of watching YouTube videos and their parents' habits at home. This study uses a qualitative method with descriptive explanations. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interviews. The results of this study found that subjects of second language skills in English were evident from their understanding of the questions and videos that they had watched repeatedly and the formation of their parents' habits. Mastery of a second language was also seen in the subject's ability to name food, fruits, and animals and to name simple verbs and verb phrases in English. The study results showed that the issue acquired 46 English vocabulary

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials based on HOTS, multiple intelligence, and the character of Baimbai pedaling for riverside elementary schools. This study used the research and product development method of teaching materials with the Borg & Gall design, which consisted of 10 steps. The sample comprises 72 elementary school students, six principals, and 10 class teachers. The sampling technique used purposive random sampling. The research instrument is a validity test questionnaire and tests. Data analysis used qualitative data analysis and independent sample t-test. Based on the results of assessments from SD teaching materials experts, media experts, SD design experts, and character education experts, a score of > 92 was obtained, indicating that the teaching materials were feasible to use. Based on the results of the effectiveness test conducted on 46 students and analyzed using an independent sample t-test, the t-count value was higher than the t-table (2.231> 1.576), and the significance value was less than 0.05 (0.002 <0.005). The increase occurred in the medium category with a value of N-Gain = 0.39

Abstract

This literature study, entitled "Analysis of Speaking Skills with Storytelling Methods in Indonesian Language Learning in Elementary Schools," describes the literature on speaking skills using the storytelling method with the narrative literature review (NLR) model. The technique employed is the comparison method. The purpose of this study is based on the needs in primary school environments, especially in high school, because knowing the problems and difficulties in applying Indonesian language learning to speaking skills for elementary school students is very much needed. It has been proven that it takes work to maximize students' speaking skills in front of an audience. Researchers identified the subject matter discussed in this study as 40 articles published in national journals within the last ten years. The article Speaking Skills with a Storytelling Approach consists of 20 pieces on speaking skills by various methods, as many as nine pieces for speaking skills in high school, which in general is as much as two articles; additionally, to speak with storytelling skills using a variety of models, as many as four articles; three articles for speaking skills using image media and comics; and the other two articles discuss speaking skills in law school in general. The novelty of the research obtained in the literature review of speaking skills and the theories presented by previous experts The impact of research that uses the study of literature is more significant when other researchers pay attention to the suggestions given by researchers when researching speaking skills.

Abstract

Short stories women are the work of faceless dent literature part of a kumala on 6 February published in 2005 in the newspaper Compass. In the syntactic study, any piece of literature has phrases in all its contents. A phrase combines two or more words unrelated to the predicate element. The short story The Dented Face by Ratih Kumala has many phrases. Furthermore, the category of word classes that underlie the formation of types of phrases. This study aims to analyze and describe the phrases contained in the short story Women With Dent Faces by Ratih Kumala based on word class category. The source of this research data is Ratih Kumala's Short Story of a Dented Faceted Woman. Data collection techniques are carried out using note-reading techniques that are analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The results of this study are 1) the short story The Dented-Faced Woman by Ratih Kumala contains the phrases noun, verb, adjective, adverb, numeralia, prepositional, and prepositions. 2) Data on noun phrases of as many as 16 data, verb phrases of as many as 6 data, adjective phrases of as many as 8 data, adverb phrases of as many as 3 data, and prepositional phrases of as many as 4 data.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how PAUD curriculum management in Fania Salsabila Barokah Jambi integrated Islamic kindergarten means management includes planning, implementing, organizing, supervising, and evaluating early childhood education curricula and knowing what problems are encountered in planning, implementing, organizing, supervision, and evaluation of early childhood education curricula. This type of research is descriptive and qualitative to obtain information related to curriculum management. The subjects in this study were school principals and teachers. Data collection techniques are by observing, interviewing, and documenting. Curriculum management is a set of plans and learning regarding objectives, content, learning materials, and the methods used as guidelines for learning activities. The curriculum is structured to realize educational goals that must be achieved and learning experiences that students must obtain. The curriculum applied in the Fania Salsabila Barokah Integrated Islamic Kindergarten, Jambi, is the 2013 curriculum, where education manages the 2013 curriculum by prioritizing needs and achieving goals in the vision, mission, and goals national policies that have been set. Curriculum management in Fania Salsabila Barokah Integrated Islamic Kindergarten, Jambi, includes planning, implementing, organizing, supervising, and evaluating the curriculum to ensure all learning activities can be carried out correctly and achieve the expected goals
