Abstract

This paper is a narrative review exploring how an understanding of how brain function underlying leadership behaviour and decision making -neuroleadership- can be utilised to address unethical behaviour, including nepotism, corruption and fraud, in the South African public sector, aggravated by various circumstances, one of which is historical trauma from the apartheid era. Notwithstanding countless legislative efforts to curb unethical practices, South Africa continues to experience widespread corruption in its public sector, particularly within municipalities. We suggest unresolved historical trauma as further fuelling unethical practices among leaders who feel disadvantaged by previous political systems. This paper investigates how neuroleadership principles, including self-awareness, emotional regulation and social cognition have the potential to address these behaviours. The findings are that neuroleadership offers a novel strategy for studying and teaching ethical leadership in the South African public sector by enhancing among others, emotional regulation and bias awareness, with the potential to address the severe challenges municipalities face, such as financial mismanagement, and procurement irregularities. Integrating neuroleadership into ethics training programs for public officials is recommended to promote emotional intelligence and cognitive flexibility, while addressing underlying historical traumas is suggested to help mitigate unethical behaviour and foster more inclusive leadership practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of trust, convenience, and service quality on purchasing decisions in Tokopedia, especially among students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Prima Indonesia. The background of this study is the rapid development of e-commerce in Indonesia, which requires an in-depth understanding of the factors that influence consumer behavior, especially the younger generation. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey, involving 100 student respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results showed that the variables ease and quality of Service have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Meanwhile, Trust did not show a partially significant effect. However, simultaneously, all three variables have a significant influence on the purchase decision. The contribution of the three variables to the purchase decision reached 82.92%, while 17.08% were influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings emphasize the importance of ease and quality of service in improving student purchasing decisions at Tokopedia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahu pengaruh debt to equity ratio, debt to asset ratio, return on asset, ukuran perusahaan secara parsial dan simultan berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusaahaan pada Perusahaan Subsektor Makanan Dan Minuman Yang Terdaftar Di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode Tahun 2019-2023. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Perusahaan Subsektor Makanan Dan Minuman yang terdaftar di BEI sebanyak 24 perusahaan, dengan sampel penelitian dari 8 perusahaan dengan tahun pengamatan selama 5 tahun, dengan jumlah 40 sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang dalam penelitian menggunakan aplikasi SPSS yang digunakan untuk statistic deskriptif, analisis Regresi Linear Berganda, Uji Parsial, Uji Determinan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Debt to Equity Ratio berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan, Debt to Asset Ratio berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan, Return On Asset berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan, Ukuran Perusahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap Nilai Perusahaan dan Debt to Equity Ratio, Debt to Asset Ratio, Return On Asset dan Ukuran Perusahaan memiliki pengaruh terhadap Nilai Perusahaan pada Perusahaan Manufaktur Sub Sektor Makanan Dan Minuman Yang Terdaftar Di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2019-2023.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Kaizen Culture and Talent Management on employee performance, with Reward as a moderating variable at CV. Sumber Beton, Lubuklinggau City. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 40 employee respondents. The results reveal that Kaizen Culture has a significant positive effect on employee performance, with a path coefficient of -0.519 and a p-value of 0.004. Talent Management shows a significant positive effect, with a path coefficient of 0.670 and a p-value of 0.000. However, Reward does not significantly moderate the relationship between Kaizen Culture and employee performance, as indicated by a p-value of 0.363. Similarly, Reward fails to significantly moderate the effect of Talent Management on performance, with a p-value of 0.455. These findings suggest that while Kaizen Culture and Talent Management directly affect employee performance, Reward does not strengthen these relationships and may even weaken them. This study highlights the importance of focusing on internal cultural and talent development strategies rather than relying solely on reward systems to enhance employee performance.

Abstract

This study highlights the misalignment between the competencies of Mandarin language instructors and the demands of the creative economy and tourism sectors in Indonesia. The main objective is to identify the developmental needs of human resources in Mandarin instruction and to formulate a training model relevant to industry requirements. The method used is a library research approach with descriptive-qualitative analysis, utilizing sources such as books, academic journals, and research reports. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to examine the required competencies in the field. The findings reveal that the integration of linguistic proficiency, intercultural communication, and technological teaching skills is an urgent need that is currently not well accommodated in existing training programs.

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the Influence of Training and Workload on the Performance of Pramusapa Employees at PT Transjakarta. To analyze the influence between independent variables and dependent variables. With the independent variables being Training and Workload, while the dependent variable is Employee Performance, using a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out using random sampling techniques. From a total population of 1,554 Pramusapa, a sample of 85 was taken using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 10%. Data distribution using a questionnaire via Google Form and data testing was carried out using SmartPLS version 4.1. The results of the R Square value is 0.674, which means that the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable is 67.4% and the remaining 32.6% is influenced by other variables outside the model studied by the author. The results of this study state that: (1) Training and Workload have an effect on Employee Performance; (2) Training has an effect on Employee Performance; (3) Workload has an effect on Employee Performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Price Book To Value, Earning Per Share Dan Debt Equity Ratio Terhadap Harga Saham Perusahaan Property, Real Estate Dan Konstruksi Bangunan Yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2018-2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sumber data sekunder yang diperolah dari laporan keuangan perusahaan yang diterbitkan di www.idx.co.id. Teknik pengabilan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunkan teknik purposive sampling, dengan jumlah objek 10 perusahaan dengan data selama 4 tahun sehingga memiliki jumlah sampel 40 data. Analisis yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisis statistik deskriptif, uji kualitas data (uji validitas dan reliabilitas), uji asumsi klasik (uji normalitas, multikolinearitas, dan heteroskedastisitas), analisis regresi linear berganda dan pengujian hipotesis dengan uji t serta uji koefisien determinasi (R²). Software yang digunakan untuk melakukan penelitian ini adalah SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Price Book To Value, Earning Per Share, Debt Equity Ratio memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan Property, Konstruksi dan Real Estate yang terdaftar di BEI.
