Abstract

This study aims to forecast the sales of bottled drinking water (AMDK) products in 220 ml glass packaging at XYZ Company. The problem faced by the company is the inaccuracy of production planning due to fluctuations in demand, which causes excess and shortage of stock, and has an impact on increasing storage costs and potential delays in distribution. To overcome this, sales forecasting was conducted using historical sales data for 2024 with five time series forecasting methods, namely Moving Average, Simple Exponential Smoothing, Double Exponential Smoothing, Triple Exponential Smoothing, and Decomposition. The evaluation is done using three error measures: Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD), Mean Square Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The analysis showed that the Multiplicative Decomposition method with a seasonal length of 2 is the best method with a MAPE value of 16, MSE 1138, and MAD 2,586,324.

Abstract

This study aims to redesign an ergonomic red onion planting tool to improve work efficiency for farmers in Sukomoro District, Nganjuk Regency. The main problems faced by farmers include uncomfortable working posture, long planting times, and high dependence on manual labor. By applying ergonomic principles and using local anthropometric data, a new tool was designed and tested directly by 20 farmer respondents. The results showed that the redesigned tool reduced average planting time by up to 20% compared to the previous tool and received positive responses from the majority of farmers based on a satisfaction questionnaire. The tool was developed with consideration for user comfort, planting distance accuracy, and ease of operation. This study concludes that the redesigned planting tool is feasible to be used as an effective and sustainable mechanization solution to enhance productivity and farmer welfare in red onion cultivation.

Abstract

One important thing in conducting statistical analysis is the normality test. The purpose of the normality test is to determine whether the data to be used in the research follows a normal distribution or does not follow a normal distribution. One of the normality tests is the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Normality Test. Microsoft Excel is equipped with Statistical Function. Thus the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Normality Test can be done with the help of Microsoft Excel. An example of a case in the form of bull mass data with a sample size of 90 has passed the normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method, the results of which are that the data is normally distributed.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in Indonesia's economy, particularly in the processed food sector such as chicken floss products. However, packaging quality often becomes a major issue that lowers product competitiveness. This study aims to identify the types of packaging defects and analyze their root causes in the chicken floss product of UMKM MATAMI, located in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi. A qualitative descriptive approach was used with the fishbone diagram as the main analysis tool. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The findings reveal five dominant types of packaging defects, such as poorly sealed plastic and improperly attached labels. Fishbone analysis showed that the main causes stem from human factors, work methods, and machinery. The study recommends improvements including worker training, development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), machine maintenance, and simple quality control systems.

Abstract

The construction industry has many factors that cause work accidents, but the most highlighted is worker awareness in using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This study develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system to maintain the quality of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the storage room by monitoring environmental conditions and officer activities. This system is designed to monitor room temperature, humidity, and air quality to ensure that PPE is stored in standard conditions. In addition, the system is equipped with a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) module to record and monitor the activities of officers entering and leaving the storage room. The ESP32 microcontroller is used as a data processing center connected to various sensors and RFID modules, and functions to send data in real time to the server via a Wi-Fi network. The test results show that the system is able to monitor room temperature conditions accurately in the range of 20-250C and air humidity at 40-60% and detect officer activities effectively. Indoor dust conditions are maintained below 10 mg/m3 by utilizing a blower fan. This system is expected to support safer, more efficient, and technology-based PPE storage management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between work posture, assessed using the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) method, and the work productivity level of employees in the office warehouse division of a livestock feed company. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was employed, involving 14 respondents. Data were collected through posture observations using the RULA worksheet and a productivity questionnaire covering aspects of performance and personality. The evaluation results showed that all employees had RULA scores ranging from 3 to 4, indicating a moderate ergonomic risk level. Meanwhile, work productivity scores varied from 57.4 to 78.6. Statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test produced a significance value of 0.730, indicating no statistically significant relationship between RULA scores and employee productivity. Nevertheless, ergonomic improvements are still recommended to prevent musculoskeletal disorders and to enhance long-term work comfort and efficiency.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has pushed Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to innovate in order to remain competitive. Kedai Rio Bersaudara, which has been operating for 20 years, still uses a manual system for sales and inventory management, resulting in delays in transaction recording, data errors, and difficulties in generating reports. This study aims to develop a web-based sales system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method to integrate business processes efficiently and accurately. The system is built with PHP and MySQL using the Laravel framework, featuring transaction recording, inventory tracking for incoming and outgoing goods, and real-time report generation. The results show that the system improves operational efficiency, reduces recording errors, and facilitates monitoring of sales and inventory. This system enables business owners to make faster and more accurate decisions, ultimately increasing productivity and competitiveness.

Abstract

Clinics as one of the providers of public health services require an appropriate and reliable information system, as well as adequate to improve the quality of health services to patients. Drug inventory is an important part of a clinic's health service system. Ibnu Sina Medika Clinic is one of the clinics in Kendal that still implements a manual stock recording system using paper and pen. This study aims to design a drug inventory system at the clinic to assist in managing drug stock, the Economic Order Quantity method is applied to complete the system. An information system is created that can produce output for calculating safety stock, reorder point, and EOQ, then a restock notification will appear if the drug stock has reached the reorder point limit.

Abstract

UMKM TA is a business that is engaged in processing and selling salted egg products. UMKM TA is experiencing problems in the salted egg distribution process in its operations. This study uses the Lean Six Sigma method with the DMAIC stage to overcome this. This study uses the Lean Six Sigma method with using several tools such as the SIPOC diagram, Fishbone diagram, and 5W + 1H. The result of the sigma value in this study is 2.224. Problems are caused by machine, human, method, and material factors. Implementation of improvements is done with what, where, when, why, who¸ and how questions. In maintaining the implementation of these improvements, a control stage is carried out by implementing the distribution SOP and measuring distribution performance.

Abstract

Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) of oil palm are the main solid waste generated by the palm oil industry, with an increasing volume and high lignocellulosic content that can affect the decomposition process. This article aims to review the effectiveness of various microorganisms as bioactivators in EFB composting based on experimental studies and recent literature. The review results indicate that using microbial consortia such as Trichoderma spp., cellulolytic bacteria, and local microorganisms (MOL) is more effective than single microorganisms in reducing the C/N ratio to levels approaching the compost quality standard (<20). Aerobic composting methods with proper aeration management and the addition of organic materials can also accelerate decomposition. Further research is recommended to examine the interactions among microorganisms within the consortia and to conduct application trials to validate the agronomic benefits of EFB compost sustainably.
