Abstract

PT Semen Padang, as the largest Cement producer in Indonesia, employs a multi-stage Cement production process, comprising a Raw Mill, a Kiln, and a Cement Mill. The Cement Mill process, serving as the final grinding stage, plays a crucial role in Cement production. Here, clinker, gypsum, pozzolan, and limestone are mixed and ground into Cement, facilitated by grinding media and impact or tumbling forces. This study aimed to investigate the hot gas requirements and efficiency of the a Cement Mill unit, with a focus on the mass balance and energy balance of the Indarung V Cement Mill at PT Semen Padang. The results indicated that the mass of air utilized in the a Cement Mill unit was 132.96 tons/hour, while the water requirement was 3.68 tons/hour. The total mass balance value was 336.95 tons/hour, and the total energy balance value was 4,213,679 Kcal/hour.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of False Air on the increase in Oxygen (O2) percentage in the Coal Mill at PT Semen Padang Indarung V. False air or unwanted air leakage is a serious problem that can affect the efficiency of Coal Grinding processes and combustion quality in the Kiln. The research was conducted using operational data collection methods over 6 months, including measurements of O2 levels, Mill Temperature, differential pressure, and Grinding Efficiency. The analysis results show a significant correlation between increased False Air and Increased O2 percentage, where every 1% increase in False Air causes a 0.5% increase in O2 levels and a 2% decrease in Grinding Efficiency. Other identified impacts include an Average Mill temperature decrease of 5°C, a 15% increase in ID Fan power consumption, and a reduction in Grinding capacity of up to 10%. The implementation of improvement programs such as seal replacement, Mill housing repair, and ventilation system optimization has been proven to reduce O2 levels to reach the ideal value of 3-4% and increase grinding efficiency. This research contributes to understanding the influence of False Air on Coal Mill performance and can serve as a reference in preventive maintenance programs to prevent air leakage in Coal Mill systems.

Abstract

Manual inventory recording in warehousing is prone to high risks of data entry errors, data loss, and operational inefficiency. This study aims to design and test an RFID simulator device based on Arduino UNO R3 and ESP32 microcontroller to simulate warehouse automation. The system design includes the development of integrated hardware and software components to form a comprehensive RFID workflow. Testing was conducted to assess reading accuracy, maximum reading distance, response time, as well as the ability to modify and delete data. The results show that the system can read tags with 100% accuracy, with a maximum range of 15 cm and an average response time of 4.83 seconds. The system also successfully performs data modification and deletion via a web interface, indicating its applicability to basic warehouse and logistics systems.

Abstract

PT. Pertamina RU V Terminal Lawe - Lawe is a company that has a crude oil storage area with a capacity of 800,000 barrels in 7 tanks and a capacity of 1,000,000 in 2 tanks. This research aims to find out whether employees understand the use of automatic inline samplers and to determine the effect of using automatic inline samplers on employee performance in operations. The results of the calculations of this research using linear regression, namely the Validity Test of variables (X) and (Y), on average obtained a calculated r value > r table 5% (0.05), Reliability Test of the two variables (X) and (Y) shows reliability or fulfillment with variables (X = 0.837) and (Y = 0.890), Normality Test using the Shapiro – Wilk test 0.152 > 0.05, Heteroscedacity Test shows 0.393 > 0.05, Autocorrelation Test shows 1.708, Linearity Test shows that the value is 0.156 > 0.05. The Effect of Using an Automatic Inline Sampler on Employee Performance with the equation Y = 0.188 + 1.014X. with a correlation coefficient of 0.883 and a coefficient of determination of 0.779 or 77.9%. And the t test obtained t count > t table or (t count 10.617 > 1.690 t table).

Abstract

PT. Pertamina is a company engaged in the Oil and Gas (MIGAS) industry engaged in drilling. This study analyzes how the existing conditions of B3 waste management resulting from drilling activities are carried out. The research uses the Guttman Scale Scoring method. The results of the study using the guttman scale scoring method show that the existing condition of B3 waste management at PT. Pertamina received a total percentage recapitulation of 45% in the "Adequate" category. The recommendation for improving B3 waste reduction activities is to process B3 waste such as used lubricants (used oil) into diesel as fuel through the B3 waste recycling process.

Abstract

Tempe supply chain is managing the distribution flow of production until it reaches consumers. The distribution flow must be arranged and managed effectively and efficiently to increase the company's productivity and minimize costs. Method is used in this research are Saving Matrix for optimizing route and Break Even Point (BEP) for evaluating the mode Transportation. The research results show that selected route to consumers is obtained via the G-C1-C2-C5-C6-C3-C4-G route with an optimal capacity of 1500 boxes. Meanwhile, an evaluation of the transportation modes owned shows that the company can leaseif the average delivery in one year is below 1000 boxes and has its own mode if deliveries are above 1000 boxes.

Abstract

The Distribution Center (DC) of Toko X plays a crucial role in the logistics system of a minimarket retail company, ensuring the delivery of goods to branch stores. Despite having a structured picking process supported by pick-to-light technology, discrepancies in item quantities—referred to as picking variances—continue to occur. This study was conducted through direct observation and interviews with warehouse staff, followed by a root cause analysis using the 5 Whys method. The analysis revealed that the primary cause stems from human error, particularly non-compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the absence of regular performance evaluations for pickers. As a corrective measure, a continuous improvement approach based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle was designed.

Abstract

PT. XYZ, a Crude Palm Oil (CPO) producer, faces challenges such as delivery delays 2-3 times monthly and poor Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) quality, including unripe, overripe, or rotten fruits, reducing production yields and profits. To address this, risk management is essential. Using the SCOR model, the study identifies 26 risks across planning, sourcing, production, delivery, and return activities. FMEA evaluates and prioritizes these risks, finding 6 in planning, 7 each in sourcing and production, 4 in delivery, and 2 in return. The Action priority method highlights five high-priority risks: vehicle damage, raw material delays, broken conveyor chains, production process failure s, and main engine damage. Root cause analysis, fishbone diagrams, and assessment of failure Effects support identifying 15 alternative mitigation strategies. This approach aims to minimize disruptions, improve supply chain efficiency, and protect PT XYZ profitability.

Abstract

This study  aims to design the planning of sausage raw materials at PT. RF using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method. Demand forecasting was carried out using the trend decomposition method for the period of Mei 2025 to April 2026. The forecasting results were used to prepare the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and to calculate raw material needs. The analysis focused on three main raw materials: chicken meat, ice, and seasoning. The results show that the MRP method can accurately determine the quantity and timing of raw material orders according to production needs. The application of this method helps the company avoid shortages or excess inventory and improves the efficiency of procurement and storage processes.
