Abstract

PT. XYZ is a leading bottled water company that has been operating for a long time. The distribution and recycling process of drinking water gallons is a crucial factor for the sustainability of the production process, requiring strict quality control to ensure that the produced products meet standards and consumer needs. The Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method is used to analyze the potential damage to returned (retur) gallons from various suppliers. From the analysis of 500 returned gallon samples, it was found that supplier F contributed the most damage, with the most dominant type of damage being cracks at the bottom of the gallon, which can cause leaks and a decrease in quality during the distribution process. The damage is prioritized for repair due to its high frequency and impact on the company's operations. The FMEA analysis shows that the main factors causing the damage originate from the suboptimal quality of raw materials, the production process by the supplier, and the handling methods during distribution.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) contribute significantly to national economic growth, yet they still face challenges in expanding their markets. One of the main obstacles is the reliance on conventional promotion methods and the limited use of digital media. This study aims to design a digital marketing strategy model for “Usaha Baru Ibu,” a pineapple chips producer in Kampar Regency, Riau, using the Grounded Theory approach. This qualitative study involved observation, in-depth interviews with business owners, competitors, and consumers, as well as documentation. Data analysis was carried out through open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The findings revealed 15 variables influencing digital marketing strategies, with seven core variables identified as the most crucial: technological availability, capability, supporting infrastructure, human resource readiness, product uniqueness, customer expectations, and customer social media. A new theory emerged stating that the success of MSMEs’ digital marketing depends on technological readiness, human resource capability, social media utilization, and the delivery of product uniqueness aligned with customer expectations.

Abstract

UMKM Hilwafa is a business engaged in chip production. The frying process is carried out manually and poses a risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) due to non-ergonomic working postures. This study aims to analyze and improve workers’ postures using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method with the Nordic Body Map (NBM) tool, as well as to design an assistive device to reduce injury risk. Data were collected through direct observation, NBM questionnaires, and body dimension measurements. Initial analysis showed an NBM score of 77.75 (high risk) and a REBA score of 12 (immediate action required). Based on anthropometric data, an ergonomic work table was designed and implemented in the frying process. After improvement, the NBM score decreased to 57 and the REBA score to 5, indicating a significant reduction in risk. The findings demonstrate that the assistive device effectively reduces MSDs and enhances comfort and work efficiency.

Abstract

The increase in the number of vehicles due to population growth, if not accompanied by improvements in road capacity, can lead to traffic problems, particularly at the signalized three-leg intersection on Jalan Raya Kletek, Sidoarjo City. This study aims to analyze the traffic volume using the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI, 1997) method. Data were obtained through field surveys that included traffic volume and the geometric conditions of the intersection. The analysis was conducted to determine the intersection capacity, degree of saturation, queue length, stop rate, and delay. The results show that the highest traffic volume occurred on Tuesday between 17.00–18.00 WIB, with 1,130 pcu/hour from the Mojokerto–Sidoarjo direction, 1,069 pcu/hour from the Sidoarjo–Mojokerto direction, and 454 pcu/hour from Jalan Sawunggaling. These data were used as the basis for calculating the degree of saturation according to the MKJI 1997 guidelines.

Abstract

Road damage is a problem caused by various factors, including excessive repetitive traffic loads, temperature and rainfall effects, and poor initial construction quality. Roads that are not properly designed and maintained will experience a decline in both structural and functional quality, resulting in reduced service performance for users. The impacts of road damage include traffic flow disruption, decreased comfort, and increased safety risks. The condition and type of vehicles passing over the road also significantly affect the pavement design and structural durability. A study on the road section in Lasada Village, Unaaha District, shows that the increased traffic volume on the regency road connecting Tuoy Village and Ambekaeri Village has led to various types of damage, such as cracking and potholes. With an approximate length of 1 km, width of 7.2 m, and pavement thickness of 15 cm, this road has experienced a reduction in load-bearing capacity due to unmet construction standards. Consequently, the level of service and comfort for road users has decreased significantly.
