Abstract

The substation has very important equipment, namely the transformer, so the transformer must be installed a protection device to minimize interference. These disturbances include overvoltage disturbances due to lightning surges. The protection equipment installed is a lightning arrester that functions to drain overvoltage disturbances caused by lightning strikes directly to the ground, so as not to damage the transformer. This research focuses on substation equipment, namely a tube type lightning arrester with the Siemens brand and has type 3EPG 138-2PF31-2XA1-Z which is connected to a 60 MVA Unindo brand power transformer. Good protection is obtained when the lightning arrester is placed as close as possible to the power transformer terminals. With mathematical calculations for the maximum distance of the line wire length between the lightning arrester and the power transformer is as far as 103.48 meters, while in reality in the field the distance of the line wire length between the lightning arrester and the power transformer at the Padang Luar 150 kV substation is as far as 51 meters, and for the results of the calculation of the maximum distance of the line wire length between the lightning arrester and the power breaker a value of 127.45 meters is obtained, while the distance of the line wire length between the lightning arrester and the power breaker installed at the Padang Luar 150 kV substation is 65 meters

Abstract

All work and human needs at this time are very dependent on the presence of electrical energy, especially on household needs. Human negligence in the use of electrical energy will lead to waste which also has an impact on increasing the cost of using electrical energy. Therefore, a tool is needed that is capable of monitoring, controlling the use of electrical energy and is able to limit the current usage of the load, even though the user of electrical energy is not at home. Of course, to make this tool you need a voltage sensor, current sensor, relay, Arduino UNO Wifi, and a power supply. The voltage sensor used is ZMPT101B which functions to read the voltage value, the current sensor used is ACS712 which functions to read the current value, the relay functions to limit the current value in a way when the current sensor reads the current value at the load and then the author sets it in the program by limiting the current may enter by 10 A and if it exceeds the current limit this monitoring device will turn off, the Arduino UNO Wifi functions to process data read from the voltage and current sensors, and the WIFI module functions to send data to the Blynk Cloud server so that it can be viewed with an internet network. From the results of the control test by turning on and off the tool with a radius of 12 km. The test results were measured for 2 hours on the load of incandescent lamps, televisions, fans, laptop chargers, dispensers, irons and Rice Cookers using ZMPT101B and ACS712 resulting in a voltage measurement error of 0.93% and a current measurement error of 1.14%

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the impact that occurs on conveyor damage during coal transshipment activities and to find out what efforts are being made and to overcome the impact of damage at PT. Pelindo Teluk Bayur. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected through interviews, observation, literature study and documentation. The results of the research show the impact that occurred on conveyor damage during coal transshipment activities at PT. Pelindo Teluk Bayur, namely all loading activities at the jetty stopped, then the transshipment activity process at Teluk Bayur was hampered, and demurrage was given by the buyer to PT. Pelindo Teluk Bayur. Efforts to reduce the impact of damage to the conveyor at the TCM jetty on coal transhipment activities in Muara Berau anchorage at PT. Pelindo Teluk Bayur is by speeding up conveyor repairs at the TCM jetty, diverting several barges that have arrived at the TCM jetty area to other jetty areas, changing vessel schedules so that there is no accumulation of vessels at Teluk Bayur and speeding up the loading of coal into vessels with the aim of not prolonging demurrage given.

Abstract

PT.SMX merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pengecoran dan produksi paving block, untuk proses pembuatan paving block membutuhkan waktu 1 hari dari bahan sampai selesai. Namun selama proses produksi terdapat beberapa kendala yang menyebabkan kegiatan produksi tidak selalu berjalan dengan lancar. Sebab, ada pemborosan selama proses produksi, masalah utamanya adalah Lead Time. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meminimalkan pemborosan dengan menggunakan value stream mapping . Pada penelitian ini akan menggunakan value stream mapping dan data yang digunakan berdasarkan penelitian langsung, setelah data diperoleh dilakukan analisis peningkatan nilai VA pada Current State Mapping sebesar 1,345 menit, setelah dilakukan perbaikan menjadi 345 menit, NNVA yang 337 menit setelah dilakukan perbaikan menjadi 227 menit, dan nilai NVA yang sebelumnya 90 menit menjadi 25 menit. Minimisasi tertinggi terdapat pada proses penyimpanan sementara di penyimpanan Paving block setelah dicetak sebesar 900 menit dan penyebab utama pemborosan persediaan karena gudang penyimpanan perlu ditata ulang.

Abstract

PT DMI is a company that manufactures electrical panel boxes. There are still defective products that exceed the company's target on the results of the powder coating process. The results of powder coating at PT DMI through CV XYZ. This study used the Six Sigma method with five stages including Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC). The results of the define phase of this study showed that there were 3 CTQs in the powder coating results. phase measure the average DPMO value is 4107.496 and the average sigma level is 4.175. the analyze phase found 4 factors of the type of defect including humans, machines, methods and machines. In the improve phase, there are 3 recommendations that have been given, namely making a 5w+1H table, SOP and DOE. the control phase will be carried out by providing this improvement proposal to each company. The results of this study were able to minimize problems that occurred with powder coating results at PT DMI.

Abstract

After the learning process in class is over, students tend to neglect leaving the lecture hall without turning off the lights and other electronic equipment. The student neglect causes a waste of electricity consumption. So that waste does not occur, it is necessary to regulate the use of electrical energy. It is required to separate electrical installations into groups that must be on for 24 hours and re-grouping lights that must only be on when needed. By dividing the time when electrical equipment is turned on, we can adjust the amount of electrical energy consumption. The method used is re-grouping the lamp installation, scheduling of the lighting, and remote control. The re-grouping activity was carried out by dividing lamp installations that needed to be on for 24 hours in one lane and lamp installations as required in several other lines. Meanwhile, to make the on-and-off effective, a remote control is needed, which allows the lights of this group to be turned on from a control room or even turned on from a smartphone.

Abstract

XYZ is an electronics company that requires an efficient and timely production process to meet market demand. One way to increase production efficiency is to improve the production line. Currently the company is faced with production problems, namely the existence of unbalanced work groups which have a balance loss value of up to 61%. Therefore, this study tries to solve these problems using the RPW method. The RPW (Ranked Positional Weight) method is a track balancing method by establishing a work station based on the weight of each operation. Where the highest weight becomes the first order in the formation of work stations. From the results of calculations using the RPW, the number of work activity groupings is less, namely as many as 10 work stations. The work station generated using the RPW method has a track efficiency level of 96% with a balance delay value of 4%. This means that the grouping of proposed work activities has a more efficient trajectory balance than the previous grouping of work activities..

Abstract

PT Sandiya Jaya Abadi, is a company that focuses on lathe fabrication and engineering, milling/drilling, gtaw (tig), smaw, gmaw welding. This company produces various kinds of bolt components that are in motorcycles. One of them, namely, Joint Break Arm is a connection to the rear brake adjuster on a motorbike. The problems that occur in the Joint Break Arm product are, the size does not match the specified size, the diameter does not match, and the shape of the surface is rough. This study aims to analyze the root causes of product defects and to provide repair solutions for the Joint Break Arm product using the Six Sigma method. This study shows that the DPO value is 3.330791107 and the DPMO is 330791.1. As well as the Six Sigma value of, 4.914390716. From the results of the analysis of these defects, suggestions for improvements are given to reduce the number of these defects. Proposed improvements are: Organizing training to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining product and machine quality; Supervise raw materials before they are stored in the warehouse; Carry out maintenance and repair of machines regularly and continuously (sustainable); Create standard controls for checking tool posts on machines, use life time controls on zigs and create standards for mixing friction media and workpieces; Maintain all core and supporting elements to maintain a well-maintained work environment.

Abstract

Pacific Plastic Injection is a rubber and plastics sector manufacturing company that produces automotive industry components. There are defects in the products produced by PT. Pacific Plastic Injection, namely in Knob S/A Shift Lever products. The purpose of this study is to identify the cause of the defect, obtain sigma level values for Knob S/A Shift Lever products, and provide improvement proposals. The results of this study found types of defects, namely short shot, sink mark, cracking, bubble, weldline, and silver. The factors causing disability come from humans (man) and machines (machine). The DPMO value at the measure stage is 4165.86 which if converted into a sigma level is 4.3. The DPMO value at the measure stage is 4165.86 which if converted into a sigma level is 4.3 This shows that the quality control process at PT. Pacific Plastic Injection is quite good, because it is still within the average Sigma level of USA companies which is at the level of-4 sigma. The improvement proposals provided are providing direction and training for workers regarding the production process, adjusting machines according to procedures, giving directions to workers to follow SOPs, improving production process SOPs, ensuring products have hardened before being released from molding, and checking raw materials before entering the machine.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct an in-depth study of the characteristics of fine aggregates derived from the quarry in Pulau Terap Village, Kuok Sub-District, regarding their suitability for use in the production of normal concrete. The testing of fine aggregates aims to ensure their quality. The following are the tests conducted on fine aggregates: Specific gravity and water absorption test, sieve analysis test, silt content examination, organic content test. These tests are in accordance with SNI 1970-2016 (National Standardization Agency, 2016). Based on the results of the conducted research, conclusions can be drawn that, according to the calculated results from the specific gravity test of fine aggregates, the values obtained are S_d 2.6 and S_s with a value of 2.623. The fineness modulus value is 2.938. The silt content is 2.586%, and the bulk density in compacted state is 1.094468 kg/m3, whereas in loose state, it is 0.949530 kg/m3.
