Abstract

Plants are living things that need water for their growth. This research was carried out designing, making, and developing tools that previously existed. This development focuses on how to communicate between microcontrollers and aims at the needs of large and open land. Where in previous studies the coverage area was only the area around the radius of the wifi router and the coverage will be increased again using NRF24L01. In previous studies using relays on the solenoid valve will be replaced using Mosfet LR7843 which has lower electrical power requirements. This system uses the Wemos D1 Mini and Arduino Uno as its microcontroller, where data from sensors in the system in the Arduino Uno will be sent using NRF24L01 and received by NRF24L01 on the Wemos D1 Mini. Then the data that has been received will be processed and sent to the internet and can be monitored through the Blynk application which can see temperature conditions, air humidity and soil moisture. From the test results, the average difference obtained at a temperature reading of 0.44 ° C and air humidity of 3.2%, and when the humidity reaches >50% the solenoid valve can open automatically. The distance that can be reached when testing as far as ±20 meters can be due to the test site being blocked by walls.

Abstract

PT. MMU is an industry engaged in processing marine fish. The aim of this research is to minimize the cost of snapper supplies so that the production process becomes more efficient. The analysis begins with data on demand for red snapper in 2023. The movement of recorded demand shows fairly stable fluctuations, although there are some significant declines in certain months, data on ordering costs and storage costs, including raw material prices, ordering frequency, costs forklift, and ice cube costs, have been obtained to account for the total cost of raw material inventory. Data on fish demand, ordering costs, storage costs, and inventory factors were analyzed, resulting in an optimal order quantity of 298.98 kg per order with an order frequency of 6 times a year. Cost analysis shows potential savings of Rp. 3,078,677.43, safety stock of 127 kg and re order point of 42 kg. This research provides insight into the efficiency of inventory management at PT. MMU and its important implications for stock control in the fishing industry

Abstract

Indonesia, primarily an agrarian nation, relies heavily on farming as a livelihood, particularly in rice production. Rice is a crucial commodity, especially in Sumatra. Understanding the influential factors such as rainfall, humidity, average temperature, and harvest area is vital for effective rice production. This research applies the CRISP-DM method: Business Understanding, Data Understanding, Data Preparation, and Modeling. Multiple linear regression analysis is employed using Python programming in Google Colab to assess the impact of these factors on rice production. Results indicate that rainfall, humidity, and average temperature insignificantly affect rice production, while harvest area significantly influences it. The regression model is expressed as Y = 12.3X1 + 1637.1X2 – 159677.3X3 + 5.1X4. This model provides valuable insights for farmers to prioritize influential factors in future rice production

Abstract

The development of the world of education requires university institutions to continue to increase innovation and productivity so that they can be highly competitive. Factors that are very influential in improving the quality of the University are lecturers and students. For this reason, XYZ University must be able to adapt to technological developments so that it can respond quickly to global market needs. With this phenomenon, XYZ University, especially the Faculty of Engineering, needs skilled workers in the engineering field so as to produce graduates who have relevant abilities and skills. The current vision of the Faculty of Engineering is "To become a superior and competitive engineering faculty in the Southeast Asia region by 2035". To realize this vision, Engineering is required to always improve the quality of the education process, research and community service accompanied by efforts to increase its relevance in the context of global competition. In the future, FT-XYZ is expected to be able to have quality that is on par with engineering faculties from leading universities in Southeast Asia in terms of the quality of the learning process and graduates, research and community service, so that it can raise the honor and dignity of the Indonesian nation. The steps taken are to increase the productivity of workforce performance. Therefore, the Marvin E Mundel method was used to analyze performance productivity, factors that experienced increases or decreases. The results of these calculations show that the alternative chosen with the highest productivity increase value is alternative 3, namely by increasing input slightly and increasing output more. The value obtained based on alternative 3 is 256.38%, with a drastic increase of 156.38% from the initial productivity.

Abstract

Logistics companies are very important in managing materials for smooth operations. In this company, which specializes in logistics through ocean shipping, faces risks when carrying out tasks such as lifting logistics goods in containers, moving oil, coal, and machine tools. To minimize the possibility of accidents, is necessary to identify, analyze, and manage potential hazards using the HIRARC method. Risk assessment shows variations in risk levels for different activities and control efforts. Hazard control is carried out through measures such as being exposed to embers that cause blisters, which can be prevented by controlling them using complete personal protective equipment, falling from stairs can be prevented by routine inspection of the condition of the stairs, triggering fires in the combustion chamber can be prevented by providing training to oil pump operators, bumping heads can be prevented by wearing safety helmets, and Being crushed by goods can be prevented by neat arrangement of goods.

Abstract

Tempeh is a typical Indonesian food that is rich in benefits, affordable, and accepted internationally. The objectives of this research are: 1). Identify various internal and external factors that influence the development of the tempe business and propose development strategies to maintain its sustainability. Using the Fishbone Diagram to identify and analyze the causes of a factor, followed by applying 2 analytical methods, namely: 1). SWOT analysis, and 2). QSPM analysis. The research results show that based on the IE Analysis and SWOT Analysis, the position of the Sumber Makmur tempeh business is in quadrant I, which means that the business can seize existing opportunities by making maximum use of its strengths. The strategy that must be implemented now is to support aggressive growth policies (Growth Oriented Strategy). In the QSPM Analysis, the highest TAS results are found in alternative quality improvement strategies at low and affordable prices in order to meet high needs and gain public recognition

Abstract

Marketing strategy is the implementation of business steps which are a manifestation of achieving business success. This strategy is very important considering that no matter how good the segmentation, target market and market position are, it will not work if the right strategy is not followed. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation techniques. Based on the results and discussion of research that has been put forward regarding the marketing strategy of MSME Siti Hajar Pekanbaru, it can be concluded that MSME Siti Hajar Pekanbaru uses the 4P Marketing Mix which consists of product strategy with products that are packaged well, price ) with affordable prices, strategic locations, and regular promotions and utilizing technology. UMKM Siti Hajar also analyzes strengths and weaknesses (internal factors) as well as opportunities and threats (external factors) using SWOT. MSME Siti Hajar Pekanbaru maintains cash flow, widens the target market, continues to innovate by developing a variety of food flavors, maximizing social media, and creating a marketplace. MSME Siti Hajar Pekanbaru has culinary products that are quality, healthy, and priced according to product quality, distribution places are affordable to the public, and have carried out promotions through social media.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) are activities that ensure the creation of safe working conditions, avoiding physical and mental disorders. The aim of this research is to determine the risk of severity of welding workers who do not use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This research uses 2 methods, the fishbone diagram method and job safety analysis. The survey technique was carried out by taking a sample of 15 welding worker respondents in the company. The results of this research are that welding workers experience a very high level of risk to Occupational Health and Safety due to the lack of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used. So companies must provide, comply with and prioritize (K3) welding. The company must also facilitate and require all workers to use safety equipment such as welding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that meets the Indonesian National Standard (SNI).

Abstract

The objectives of this study are as follows: To determine the volume and capacity of the Ketapang Cepu three-stroke intersection. To find out the performance of the Ketapang Cepu intersection that has not been signaled. The researcher's research method is a method with a quantitative approach. The data is in the form of the type of vehicle volume crossing the intersection and traffic volume.  Data analysis techniques used to analyze the results of this study using the method of Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines 2014. The method of analyzing this research data is as follows: Analyzing peak times, namely analyzing survey results. Peak time analysis per 1 hour was conducted, which was analyzed with the rules of the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2014). Conclusion From the results of the calculation above, the intersection capacity is 2950.7 skr / hour, the largest traffic volume is 2373.6 skr / hour, the chance of queuing that occurs 26% - 51%. In PKJI 2014, the delay of all intersections is included in the good category if it is in the range of 5-15 seconds. Based on the data above, the performance of Simpang Tiga Ketapang Cepu is still good (there is no congestion).

Abstract

PT. PQRS is an agro-industrial company that plays a role in processing fresh tea leaves into various ready-to-consume tea products. Because there is no definite time standard for the production process, the corporation cannot accurately estimate the number of workers needed based on the workload at each work station, especially the packaging station. It is hoped that by combining the work sample approach with conventional time measurement methods, the author will assist businesses in identifying the ideal number of workers. The average time for packaging tea during 60 observations was 219.94 seconds, and the average working time was 480 minutes or 28,800 seconds or 8 hours a day, according to calculations that had been carried out. The number of workers in the tea packaging section is based on labor requirements calculated using a work sampling approach. According to the calculation of labor requirements using the work sampling method, the number of employees in the tea packaging section, which previously required 21 employees, has now become 18 employees at the PT.PQRS tea packaging station
