Abstract

The title of this research is “The Use of Facebook and Students Behavior of SMK Penerbangan Pulau Berayan Darat in Medan City. This study aims to determine the use of facebook and its effects on students behavior of SMK Penerbangan Pulau Berayan Darat Medan. This research used a qualitative descriptive methode that systematically illustrates, actual and accurate about the facts, characteristic and correlations between variables but it had no any hypothesis test. Theoretical approaches used in this research is the theory of uses and effects of media communication. In collecting the data made by interview, observation, library research and private document of informant facebook. The subject / informants in this research were 9 students of SMK Penerbangan Pulau Berayan Darat from class X and XI. In taking the sample done in sampling snowball method, meant to find one informant and further interview. The process go end when the researcher set the data has been bore, assumed it will find no newly things in interview. In collecting the data, done in May through June 2015, the location is SMK Penerbangan Pulau Berayan Darat, Jl. Bilal Ujung No 3/145 Medan, Telp 061-6621261. The result showed that students habit of SMK Penerbangan Pulau Berayan Darat Medan used facebook some while at home, some at school and some in intenet home. Some of them preferred to stay alone but some while gathering with friends. Some of them used facebook by laptop, some by hand phone while they were relax, still while learning in school-room. The result also showed were effects the use of facebook on students behavior of SMK Penerbangan Pulau Berayan Darat Medan. The positive effects were their behavior/personality become more open, more care others, more communicative, more socially flexible, more confident, then make them often discussion and worship. The negative effects were wasteful behavior, some time make quarrels, make them procrastinate other activities (such eating, sleeping late at night) and experiencing fraud. Other effect was to make them like to take photos. Whereas in the case of reading the information about fashion and see porno sites had no effect on behavior.

Abstract

Adat adalah sebuah sistem yang mengatur kehidupan manusia. Masalah dalam penelitian ini dibagi kedalam tiga bagian, yaitu 1. Bagaimana Hubungan Nilai-Nilai kearifan Lokal masyarakat Hukum Adat 2. Batak Toba dalam melindungi kawasan Danau Toba? 3. Mengapa diperlukan revitalisasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal kedalam Pembentukan Peraturan Hukum terkait perlindungan kawasan Danau Toba? Penelitian ini memberikan hasil bahwa hukum yang resposif diperlukan, aturan yang tidak tumpang tindih, koheren, dan konsistensi menjadi salah satu cara untuk memperbaiki kawasan Danau Toba dari jalur regulasinya. Pembentukan hukum yang memasukan nilai-nilai kearifan masyarakat merupakan perwujudan dari hukum yang responsive dan progresif untuk membentuk aturan yang memiliki nilai kepastian hukum, keadilan dan kemanfaatan. Penegakan hukum juga diperlukan bagi setiap tindakan masyarakat atau oknum tertentu yang melakukan pencemaran lingkungan agar menjadi contoh bagi masyarakat lain untuk tidak melakukan tindakan pencemaran.

Abstract

Radial Basis Function (RBF) is a method typically used to aproximate a function based on information data. A radial function is a real valued function whose depends only on the distance the data input and some fixed point ,called a centre point. Distance between some fixed point/centre and data input is usually Euclidean metric so that . Commonly types of Radial Basis Function using a to indicate a shape parameter to scale the input data of the radial centre. Since this method has been proven effective and flexsibel so that it has been widely used in engineering and science, so in this paper we will discuss how to use Radial basis Function to interpolate 2 dimension data. From the result of discussion it was found that this method was accurate to aproximate actual data or observation.

Abstract

Aceh Singkil is one of the regencies in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province that is rich in marine tourism, nature and culture. One of the popular tourism objects in this place is Banyak Island. Being well known by both local and international tourists, this tourist destination needs the right strategy. Through coordination done by government tourism office and youth and sports service of Aceh Singkil Regency, tourism communication strategy is arranged as an effort to improve the tourists’ visit in Banyak Island. This research was conducted by using descriptive-qualitative approach in which the data were collected by interview to the related parties. This research aims at : (1) knowing the maritime tourism marketing communication strategy done by government tourism office and youth and sports service of Aceh Singkil Regency in improving the tourists’ visit in Banyak Island, (2) knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors of the maritime tourism marketing communication strategy done by government tourism office and youth and sports service of Aceh Singkil Regency in improving the tourists’ visit in Banyak Island. Research findings show that the strategy of maritime tourism marketing communication done by government tourism office and youth and sports service of Aceh Singkil Regency in improving the tourists’ visit in Banyak Island are by advertising, event, publicity, and word of mouth marketing. The supporting factors of communication marketing are potential attractions for dance culture (Adok dance, Umbrella dance) and tomb of Makam syekh Abdurauf As-Singkily as national Islamic treasure. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors, one of them, is lack of crossing transportation for tourists to visit Banyak Island

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “PENGARUH BUDAYA DIGITAL TERHADAP MINAT TRAVELLING. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui pengaruh instagram @visit_sumut terhadap minat travelling di kalangan Komunitas Pecinta Alam Adventure Anak Nyasar Medan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Uses and Gratification. Penelitian ini menggunakan seluruh sampel (total sampling) yang berjumlah 44 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisa dengan menggunakan analisa tabel tunggal, analisa tabel silang, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan Rank Spearman. Hasil keseluruhan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pengaruh akun instagram @visit_sumut terhadap minat travelling dikalangan komunitas pecinta alam medan. Hubungan tersebut merupakan hubungan yang cukup berarti. Hasil ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan uji hipotesis yang dilambangkan dengan rs. Diperoleh hasilnya = 0,419, dan berdasarkan skala Guillford berada pada skala yang menunjukkan hubungan yang cukup berarti. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa Pengaruh akun instagram @visit_sumut memiliki pengaruh yang cukup berarti terhadap minat travelling komunitas pecinta alam adventure anak nyasar.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining: (1) the cabbage farming development strategy in Nagori Purbatua Baru, Silimakuta District, Simalungun Regency, (2) the cabbage marketing channel in Nagori Purbatua Baru, Silimakuta District, Simalungun Regency and (3) the efficiency of cabbage marketing in Nagori Purbatua Baru, Silimakuta District, Simalungun Regency. The study was conducted in Nagori Purbatua Baru, Silimakuta District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. The location selection was done purposively with the consideration that the location was one of the centers of cabbage vegetable production in Simalungun Regency. The sample was a portion or representative of the population being studied. The sample taking carried out by purposive technique or deliberately in determining the expert respondents consisting of 5 or more persons namely: cabbage farmers, collectors, large traders, students, government agencies and consumers. The analysis was done by using SWOT analysis and descriptive method. The results showed that the cabbage development and marketing strategy in the study area could be carried out with the W-O (Weakness-Opportunities) strategy, namely using high production to meet increasing market demand. Another alternative strategy that was also very well done was the S-T (Strength-Threats) Strategy, namely the use of regional conditions to increase production, was increasingly high. There are two cabbage trading channels in the study area, namely: channel (1), producer  collecting trader  retailer  end consumer and channel (2) producer  collecting trader à large trader  retailer  final consumer. There is no difference in the functions of each trading institution involved in cabbage trading in each channel in the study area. There were differences in trading margins (marketing margin, price spread, and large share margins of each cabbage trading agency in the study area. Share margins received by producers (farmers) were smaller than those of traders. Cabbage trading system efficiency levels in the study area were high , where channel I was more efficient than channel II.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out how much influence the work discipline and mastery of information and technology on employee’s performance at Darma Agung University and (2) find out which factors are the most dominant on employee’s performance at Darma Agung University. The theory used is the theory of Human Resource Management related to the behavior of the respondent. The technique of collecting the Primary data is conducted with questionnaires, supported by interviews. The samples in the study are 61 respondents. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. Data processing uses SPSS Version 2.0 software with descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.21. This shows that the independent variables studied were able to explain 21% of employee performance at Darma Agung University, and the remaining 79% was explained by other variables that were not examined. The results shows that work discipline and mastery of information and technology have a significant effect on performance of the employees at Darma Agung University, and work discipline factors have the most dominant influence on employee’s performance at Darma Agung University

Abstract

This Research entitled The Role of Food Innovation Pizza Andaliman in Improving Tourist Interest to Lake Toba (Studyat Pizza Andaliman Restaurant Balige, Kabupaten Toba Samosir) intend to reveal about the role of food innovation in improving tourist interest to visit Lake Toba, , this study was conducted at the Pizza Andaliman Restaurant Balige, Kabupaten Toba Samosir. The research metodology used was a qualitative approach. Informants in this research are the owner of izza Andaliman Restaurant, tourism official government, foreign tourist and local tourist who visit Lake Toba, Balige. Kabupaten Toba Samosir, Sumatera Utara. The result of research indicated that food innovation Pizza Andaliman has not yet the main reason for tourist to visit Lake Toba, but tourist interest to visit Lake Toba increase after know about food innovation like Pizza Andaliman

Abstract

This research aims at comparing the quality, price, users and interest of the society on IoS and Android. This research also directs readers to be more careful in choosing a product, wiser in comparing products. Both of IoS and Android products are good enough but it would be nice to choose the better one. The reason for conducting this research is to facilitate consumers in choosing products. The method research used is qualitative with natural observers, and the use of questionnaires to obtain data from several communities in the Pos Indonesia Polytechnic Campus.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims at determining the significant effect of Team Assisted Individualization learning model with experimental assistance on science process skills on the subject matter of measurement in class X semester I of the Belawan Conscience High School Academic Year 2019/2020. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study to determine whether there is any influence or consequences of something caused by the subject, that is students. The population of this study is all students of class X semester I of SMA Belawan Conscience consisting of 4 classes. Class X-1 is as an Experiment class amounted to 25 people who were taught with the Team Assisted Individualization learning model assisted with experiments and Class X-3 as a control class amounted to 25 people who were taught by direct learning. The instruments in this study amounted to 8 items in the form of essays that have been tested for validity, reliability, difficulty level, and different power. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the sample came from a homogeneous population and was normally distributed. The research results obtained an average value of experimental pretest lower than the average value of the control class pretest. From the results of the two-party t test obtained t count < t table shows that the initial ability of the two classes is the same. Then given a different treatment and then held a post-test. After being tested, the average Team Assisted Individualization score is higher than the average value of Direct Instruction. The results of one-party t test results obtained t count > t table, this shows that there is a significant influence/effect on the use of the Team Assisted Individualization learning model assisted with experiments on science process skills in the subject matter of measurement in class X semester I of SMA Nurani Belawan Academic Year 2019/2020.
