Abstract

This study analyzes the policy network in the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Fakfak Regency, West Papua. It uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach. This study found that the MSME empowerment program facilitated by the Ministry of Finance not only supports the achievement of SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), but also contributes to SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). The results of this study also show the strategic role of MSMEs in strengthening inclusive and sustainable development policy networks. The implementation of the program reflects the dynamics of policy networks, collaborative governance, and multi-stakeholder partnerships, in which various stakeholders work together to support MSME development as an effort to improve welfare and reduce poverty and inequality. The novelty of this research lies in the analysis of the integration of network governance in MSME empowerment programs and their contribution to the achievement of SDGs in West Papua, which has rarely been studied before. This study recommends strengthening the network-based MSME ecosystem as an effective strategy to accelerate the achievement of SDGs while bridging the development gap in Eastern Indonesia.

Abstract

In recent years, affiliate marketing has emerged as a potential opportunity for students, particularly those at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Lambung Mangkurat University, to earn additional income amid rising tuition fees and living costs. However, practice in the field shows that students often face a number of obstacles that can reduce the effectiveness and earning potential of this activity. This study focuses on analyzing the various challenges faced by students in utilizing affiliate marketing, both those arising from external factors such as changes in commission policies and internal factors such as time management and motivation. The research was conducted using qualitative methods through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to explore students' experiences in more detail in undergoing affiliate marketing programs. The findings reveal that uncertainty in commission policies, low motivation, and difficulties in balancing academic obligations and marketing activities are the main obstacles. With a deeper understanding of these challenges, it is hoped that students can formulate more effective strategies to overcome them, so that affiliate marketing can truly be maximized as a meaningful source of additional income.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of ethnic identity politics on voter behavior in the 2018 West Kalimantan gubernatorial election, focusing on Dayak and Malay ethnic sentiments and candidate strategies in communicating ethnic and religious identity. The research is grounded in post-Reformasi decentralization that enabled ethnic-based political mobilization, alongside historical marginalization of the Dayak and dominance of the Malay during the New Order period, shaping local political dynamics. The study employs a qualitative case study approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, literature review, and documentation, involving key informants such as gubernatorial candidates, ethnic leaders, and political observers. Data analysis follows reduction, presentation, and verification stages to explore the interaction between candidate strategies, ethnic-religious affiliation, and voter behavior. Results indicate that ethnic-religious sentiment significantly influenced the 2018 election outcomes, with Sutarmidji-Ria Norsan winning through consolidation of Malay-Muslim support in coastal areas, while Dayak-Christian voters remained dominant inland. Candidates integrated development narratives with local identity to build public trust, reinforce ethnic-religious voting patterns, and leverage party coalitions and community networks. The findings provide novel insights for ethnic politics, decentralization, and voter behavior studies, highlighting the complex interplay between ethnicity, religion, and campaign strategy in regional elections.

Abstract

The transition towards the Kurikulum Merdeka in Indonesia requires more adaptive and student-centered teaching practices, particularly in ensuring coherence between learning design and learning evaluation. This study aims to analyze the integration between learning design and evaluation in the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in Social Studies classrooms. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving 16 public junior high schools selected through random sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were subsequently analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion-drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the process of learning design begins with a collaborative review of the Learning Outcomes (CP) through the Social Studies Teacher Forum (MGMP), followed by the development of the Learning Objectives Flow (ATP), diagnostic assessments, formulation of specific learning goals, and preparation of teaching modules. Learning evaluation consists of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, conducted with the aid of teaching module guidelines, attitude rubrics, digital assessment applications, and summative evaluation instruments. Integration is demonstrated through the alignment of objectives, learning activities, and evaluation criteria, as well as the use of assessment results to refine subsequent learning designs. This study concludes that effective integration between learning design and evaluation fosters adaptive and continuous improvement in teaching practices, consistent with the core principles of the Kurikulum Merdeka. The practical implications highlight the importance of optimizing MGMP as collaborative spaces for teachers, strengthening school support for integrated assessment systems, and enhancing teacher training programs on the development of teaching modules and sustainable assessment practices.

Abstract

This theoretical study examines the contribution of feminist thought to women's involvement in the contemporary workplace, with a particular focus on the interconnections between various feminist theories and their practical implications in the Indonesian context. Through a comprehensive literature analysis and examination of empirical data, this study reveals a complex web of perspectives and theoretical Feminism that has shaped women's participation in the modern workplace. This study demonstrates that integrating various streams of Feminism, from liberal Feminism to Islamic Feminism, has created a more nuanced understanding of gender equality in the workplace. This study identifies how the foundations of theoretical knowledge have influenced the development of organizational policies and practices in Indonesia, demonstrating that successful implementation of gender equality initiatives requires a contextual approach that considers the intersections of gender with class, religion, and local culture. Data analysis from across sectors shows significant progress in women's labor force participation, with organizations adopting an integrated feminist approach experiencing increased productivity. However, the study also reveals ongoing challenges in implementing the theoretical framework in the unique socio-cultural context of Indonesia. This study concludes that the contribution of feminist thought to women's involvement in the workplace is multidimensional and interconnected. This study emphasizes the importance of developing implementation mechanisms that consider local complexities while maintaining universal principles of gender equality. The study recommends strengthening policy implementation mechanisms, developing holistic empowerment programs, and establishing collaborative platforms between academics, practitioners, and policymakers to facilitate ongoing dialogue on implementing feminist theory in contemporary work.

Abstract

This article examines the social relations within the multiethnic community in Kampung Gadang, Banjarmasin City, which is renowned as one of the most tolerant cities in Indonesia. The study focuses on the dynamics of interactions between the Banjar, Javanese, Madurese, and Chinese ethnic groups. Using qualitative descriptive methods, the research, conducted from July to August 2025, analyzed how the community in Kampung Gadang maintains social harmony amidst diversity. The results indicate that social relations can be categorized into two forms: associative and dissociative. The associative form is manifested through strong cooperation (gotong royong), where residents from various ethnic backgrounds help each other during celebrations and community service. Accommodation occurs when these ethnicities respect each other's traditions and customs. Furthermore, assimilation is evident in the ability of newcomers to adapt to local culture and speak the Banjar language. Dissociative relations are well managed through rapid deliberation. Local wisdom, such as the value of "Bahari" (patience) and the principle of "Mufakat" (negotiating together), serves as a strong foundation for maintaining harmony. This study concludes that solid social interactions, grounded in local wisdom, enable multiethnic communities to live harmoniously and harness diversity as a collective strength.

Abstract

Advances in educational technology have driven innovation in learning methodologies, particularly through the use of interactive digital media, including interactive websites. This study addresses the issue of declining student motivation due to monotonous and less dynamic instructional approaches. Using social studies students at SMPN 17 Banjarmasin as a case study, this study will examine how Web Interacty affects learning motivation. In this quantitative study, a quasi-experimental approach was used to assess the effectiveness of two groups: one group that used the Web Interacty website for their intervention, and another group that relied on more conventional methods. Learning motivation was positively and substantially influenced by the use of the Web Interacty site. The t-test results showed a statistically significant difference between the two groups, indicating that the experimental group was substantially different from the control group (0.000, less than 0.05). In the first group, the average score of participants on the learning motivation measure increased from 78.52 to 91.74; in the second group, participants' scores increased from 76.81 to 79.32. According to this study, interest and learning motivation can be increased through the use of interactive technology in the classroom. Therefore, in order to make the learning process more efficient and interesting, teachers must consider how to incorporate digital technology.

Abstract

Currently, students are required to have 21st-century skills, and critical thinking skills are one of the important competencies that must be possessed because they shape students to have analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and social awareness in social studies learning. However, the use of media such as comics as a medium for social studies learning in schools is still limited. Based on these conditions, the purpose of this study is to examine the effect of using comics as a medium in social studies lessons on critical thinking skills. This study used a quantitative approach with a non-equivalent control group quasi-experimental research design. The research was conducted at SMPN 2 Alalak. There were two stages of data collection techniques, namely questionnaires and tests. The data analysis techniques applied were descriptive statistics, basic assumptions, and hypotheses. Based on the analysis using SPSS software on the posttest data, a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained, meaning that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, indicating a significant difference between the scores of the experimental and control classes after the treatment. These findings indicate that the use of comic media has a positive effect on improving critical thinking skills. The results of this study are consistent and reinforce the understanding that the use of comic media in social studies learning is not only a visual aid, but also a learning strategy that can encourage active engagement, reflective thinking, and logical decision-making among students. Comic media provide a learning context that is closer to the daily lives of students, making social material more vivid and concrete, and enabling students to build connections between text, images, and the social reality they experience.
