Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the scale of comparison of the value of exports and imports of Migas and non-Migas in Indonesia. The research time period is 10 years with a sample population of Indonesian export and import data. Data was obtained through the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and processed through descriptive qualitative methods and using economic line graphs. This research results in 1) The volume of Migas exports is on a stable scale, while the volume of non-Migas exports is on a more fluctuating scale and has a larger volume. 2) The volume of Migas imports is on a stable scale, while the volume of non-Migas imports is on a more fluctuating line and has a larger volume. 3) The value of Migas exports is on a stable scale, while the value of non-Migas exports fluctuates and increases and has a larger value. 4) The value of Migas imports is on a stable line scale, while the value of non-Migas imports fluctuates more and has a greater import value than Migas. Researchers concluded a suggestion that focuses on the government as the authority of international trade policy to further maximize policies related to the maximum value of exports rather than imports in order to maximize state revenue.

Abstract

Central Java Province, as one of the regions with the largest population in Indonesia, has large resource potential in the food sector, especially in rice crops. Food, as the main human need, is the key to maintaining a region's food security. This research uses a quantitative approach with secondary time series and cross section data from January 2018 to December 2022, involving 29 districts and 6 cities in Central Java Province. Factors influencing rice availability were analyzed using the panel data method. The panel data method with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) was chosen as the best model, showing that rice production and population have a positive and significant influence on the availability of rice in Central Java Province. Meanwhile, rice harvest area and rice productivity did not have a significant effect. The research results show that rice production has a positive effect on rice availability, but rice availability is also influenced by population size. The ever-increasing population puts pressure on the availability of rice, because the greater the population, the greater the need for rice consumption. These findings contribute to the efforts of the government and farming business actors in maintaining food security in Central Java Province

Abstract

The development of a country requires special attention to Human Resources (HR) as the main element of development. This article aims to examine the influence of Population, Unemployment, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), and Poverty on the Human Development Index (HDI) in Central Java Province for the 2018-2022 period. The research method used is quantitative with secondary data and uses a panel data approach. The data involves 29 districts and 6 cities in Central Java Province in the 2018-2022 period. The dependent variable is HDI, while the independent variables include Population, Unemployment, GRDP, and Poverty. Panel data regression analysis was carried out using the Common Effects Model (CEM), Fixed Effects Model (FEM), and Random Effects Model (REM) approaches, as well as the Chow test and Hausman test for selecting the best model. The research results show that population has a positive effect on HDI, because a large population creates economies of scale and increases people's purchasing power. Unemployment also has a positive influence on HDI, due to the existence of frictional unemployed who look for work according to their level of education. GRDP shows a positive and significant influence on HDI, in accordance with Kuznet's theory of economic growth. However, poverty does not have a significant effect on HDI. Future research is recommended to consider more independent variables and expand the research time span.

Abstract

This study, titled "Analysis of Commercial and Fiscal Profits, Leverage on Profit Persistence at PT. Mighty True Great," aims to investigate the impact of differences in commercial and fiscal profits, leverage, and their combined effects on profit persistence at PT. Mighty True Great. The research employs quantitative methods and utilizes financial statements from 2017 to 2019 for data analysis. Financial statements serve as a crucial tool for conveying a company's financial status to various stakeholders. Profit quality, particularly profit persistence, is an essential component in assessing a company's performance and making informed decisions. The study focuses on the phenomenon of differences between accounting profits and fiscal profits, known as Book-Tax Differences, and how these differences influence profit persistence. The research explores the role of leverage in shaping financial statements and its potential impact on profit persistence. Leverage, represented by the Debt to Equity Ratio, is highlighted as a significant factor affecting profit persistence. The study specifically investigates PT. Mighty True Great, a company operating in the animal feed industry, and analyzes its profit trends and the influence of leverage on profit persistence. The findings reveal that differences in commercial and fiscal profits, both temporary and permanent, have no significant impact on profit persistence at PT. Mighty True Great. However, the study identifies that leverage has a notable influence on profit persistence, suggesting that the company's debt levels affect its ability to sustain profits over time. In conclusion, the research emphasizes the importance of companies paying attention to profit stability and persistence. For future studies, researchers are encouraged to explore additional variables that may impact profit persistence and extend the observation period to provide a more comprehensive understanding. The recommendations aim to guide companies in decision-making and offer valuable insights for potential investors considering the persistence of a company's profits.
