Abstract

This study aims to determine the role played by the Department of Youth, Sports, Culture and Tourism (Disporyata) in fostering sports achievements for persons with disabilities in Depok City. The type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive with purposive sampling technique. Checking the validity of the research data using source triangulation and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique in this study uses statistical data through quantitative descriptive with the percentage of data from surveys, data collection uses closed statements, namely questionnaires. Respondents in this study amounted to 40 respondents consisting of members of the Disporata, Depok City NPC administrators, and athletes with disabilities. The results of this study found that the role of Disporyata in sports coaching for persons with disabilities was not optimal because there were still many inadequate facilities and infrastructure in the field. The city government pays less attention to sports achievements for people with disabilities, and the sports awards given are deemed inappropriate for athletes with disabilities. Attention from the city government to the development of sports achievement for persons with disabilities needs to be more intensive. The limitations in this study are openness and honesty in providing information in filling out questionnaires and the research is still not in-depth, so that further research is expected to respond to respondents in more detail and actual information in accordance with the conditions in the field.

Abstract

Studies that examine the biomotor component and shooting skill have been widely carried out in the sports field. These kinds of studies explained that the biomotor component has a very positive effect on improving shooting skills in football. However, the results of each study tend to be different, so it is necessary to conduct an inclusive data analysis to provide comprehensive information about the importance of the biomotor component to improve the shooting skill of football players. This study examined the effect size test of the biomotor component on the shooting skill of football players. The research type used was a meta-analysis study. The data source in this study was Google Scholar. The search literatures were from various sources using keywords: “power” AND “precision” AND “reaction” AND “balance” AND “explosive power” AND “agility” AND “coordination” AND “soccer shooting” 230 articles were obtained which were then filtered based on inclusion and exclusion criteria and 11 articles were analyzed. The data analysis was carried out through the stages of identifying variables, identifying the value of r, transforming the value of r into a z distribution, which was the effect size of each study, calculating the variance, calculating the standard error of z, and calculating the summary effect. The summary effect calculation was using Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) software. The results of the analysis using the random effects model showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the biomotor component and the shooting skill of soccer players (z = 6.018, p<0.001, 95%CI, (0.484; 0.951). The influence between the biomotor component and the shooting skill of soccer players was included in the high category (rRE=0,717). The results of the study can be concluded that the biomotor component has a positive loreational relationship with the shooting ability of soccer players.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of the athlete's sickle kick in accordance with the mechanical studies needed so that improvements can be made and competitors can perform the sickle kick more realistically and limit injuries. The reason for this research is to examine the biomechanics, and the suitability of the sickle kick movement in martial arts athletes at the Perisai Diri College, Wedung District. The total population in this study were 10 participants in a fighting technique competition from Perisai Diri, Wedung District. This study uses a purposive sample method. The development of the martial arts sickle kick from the tide position stage, take-off stage to the effect stage is the focal point of the article in this review. The retrieval technique used in this research is quantitative explanation. The procedure for collecting information uses documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that based on a biomechanical analysis of the suitability of the motion of the sickle kick, it is included in the "appropriate" criteria. Based on the results of the biomechanical analysis of the sickle kick and the timing of the sickle kick, this movement is effectively used to carry out attack movements in a martial arts match. The conclusion of this study is that there is a need for improvements in the motion of the sickle kick in the martial arts athlete Perisai Diri, Wedung District based on biomechanics, so that the kick movement can be included in the "very appropriate" category. An increase in the movement speed of the sickle kick is needed to be included in the "very good" category. In addition, increasing the correctness of motion and kick speed is expected to increase the level of suitability of the sickle kick in carrying out attacks during the match.

Abstract

Incidents of injuries that were experienced by track and field athletes in training and matches that are not handled properly. As a result, injury recovery is not always ideal, putting athletes at risk for more serious injuries. This study aims to evaluate the types and treatment of injuries that occur in athletes from the Indonesian Athletics Association (PASI) in East Java Province. This research was conducted in cross-sectional with descriptive and comparative data analysis methods. There were 141 athletic athletes aged 17.97 ± 2.314 years participated in this study. Different test analysis was carried out based on gender, age, and number of competitions that were followed. The instrument used is a questionnaire whose statement items have been tested for validity using Pearson Product Moment and show valid results (p-value <0.05). The results of the normality test showed that the data did not have a normal distribution (p-value <0.05). The non-parametric test showed no significant differences in the perception of injury management based on gender, age, and match number (p-value > 0.05). Furthermore, on the athlete's knowledge, the majority of athletes still believe in traditional handling and do not know first aid for injuries using the Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation (RICE) method.

Abstract

The role of psychology in sports is very much needed in achievement sports, especially archery, where many athletes often experience psychological problems during championships or during training sessions. The purpose of this study is to discuss the knowledge structure or factors that influence decisions/actions in archery athletes, using the context review analysis method cited from relevant research results. Reviews in this study examine the results of pre-existing research cited from international journals such as PubMed, Springer, ScienceDirect and Journals from various universities in Indonesia. The results of this study found that there are several factors that can indeed be studied and can influence decisions/actions in archery athletes that can be used and added to team/club training programs to overcome psychological problems experienced by athletes. In conclusion, there are six main factors that influence the decision/action of athletes. It is hoped that these main factors can be applied to athlete training programs as support for performance when practicing or during competition.

Abstract

Surface electromyography (SEMG) is an application that helps coaches and athletes recognize and understand muscle contractions during practice and matches. Unfortunately, this tool is very expensive, so it is necessary to develop SEMG, which is cheap but has the potential to detect muscle contractions during movement. This research aims to develop an inexpensive SEMG for detecting muscle contractions. 10 sports students participated in this study, and they were active in carrying out measured and programmed physical activities four times a week. This research is an experimental study; all students will do barbell squats at 80% of the maximum load. Differences in muscle contractions on the SEMG sensor during concentric and eccentric contractions will be analyzed using the paired sample t-test. The results of this study found a difference in the amplitude of the two muscle contractions with p <0.05; besides that, for the first test, this tool was successful in describing a picture of the amplitude that continues to decrease in muscle contractions in fatigued conditions, although there needs to be an additional indicator in assessing the condition tired for SEMG. This study concludes that the SEMG sensor can detect muscle contractions due to a sports movement. Initial experiments in this study successfully detected muscle contraction signals due to different movements used low cost SEMG; then, it needs to be developed better to reduce noise due to electronic devices' influence around SEMG.
