Abstract

Desa Gentan banaran memiliki beragam tradisi, salah satunya tradisi memasukkan kaki ke pawon dalam “tilik bayi”. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk 1) mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan tradisi memasukkan kaki ke pawon dalam “tilik bayi” di desa Gentanbanaran, 2) untuk mengetahui pula persepsi tokoh masyarakat terhadap tradisi “tilik bayi” di desa Gentanbanaran. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif,dengan menggunakan metode wawancara, dokumentasi, dan historis dalam pengumpulan data. Sumber data pada penlitian ini masyarakat desa Gentanbanaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat desa Gentanbanaran masih melakukan tradisi ini. Selain itu terjadi adanya persepsi yang berbeda-beda antar masyarakat satu dengan yang jelas sekali terlihat yaitu jenjang pendidikan yang berbeda mempengaruhi perbedaan persepsi pada masyarakat. Beberapa tokoh agama masyarakat tidak membenarkan tradisi ini tetapi ada yang tetap memperbolehkan tradisi ini tetap diikuti walaupun didalam agama islam tidak ada tuntunannya dengan alasan menghargai masyarakat sekitar, adapula masyarakat modern yang enggan melakukan tradisi ini lagi dan memilih mencuci tangan seblum “tilik bayi”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian masyarakat diharapkan tetap melestarikan dan menghargai tradisi yang ada di Indonesia agar setiap daerah tetap mempunyai identitas sendiri.

Abstract

In order to avoid misunderstanding in the process of communication, knowing well the meaning of a word is important. Especially, when the two or three words share similar meaning and often used interchangeably in the sentences such as the adjectives word; adorable, charming, and cute. Therefore, this study aimed to find and to analyse the collocative meaning of the three adjectives. In this study, the data were collected from Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA) by applying the documentation method with the note-taking technique. This study used a corpus-based analysis, with the help of the theory of collocative meaning and supported theory of lexical collocation were applied. The result showed that the collocative meaning of the three adjectives share similar meanings which collocated with the word attractive. Moreover, the three adjectives were most likely to co-occur with nouns such as; baby, guy, boys, and etc. The three adjectives were also commonly paired up with adverbs such as; quite, so, always and etc.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Kehidupan sosial budaya dan sosial ekonomi masyarakat desa Tegalalang di masa pandemi dan juga untuk mengetahui tantangan dalam menghadapi situasi pandemi terutama bagi kehidupan sosial budaya dan ekonomi masyarakat desa, yang sebagian besar penduduk generasi muda, perekonomiannya telah beralih kesektor pariwisata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyoroti kehidupan sosial budaya masyarakat desa yang sangat kental akan tradisi dan adat istiadat. Tradisi ngerebeg merupakan tradisi yang ada di Tegalalang dan hingga sekarang ini tradisi ini tetap dilaksanakan. Pelaksanaan ngerebeg bertepatan dengan piodalan di Pura Duur Bingin. Di masa pandemi masyarakat desa Tegalalang tradisi ngerebeg tetap dilaksanakan dengan mengikuti protocol kesehatan sesuai dengan anjuran pemerintah. Disektor ekonomi masyarakat desa Tegalalang terutama generasi muda banyak yang bekerja di sektor pariwisata. Adanya pandemi saat ini, berdampak pada aktivitas di sektor pariwisata dibatasi oleh pemerintah ditandai oleh ditutupnya penerbangan internasional sementara waktu. Hal ini berdampak pada tidak ada kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara ke Indonesia khususnya ke Bali. Banyak tenaga kerja yang dirumahkan begitu pula dengan tenaga kerja yang ada di Tegalalang. Mengatasi hal tersebut banyak kemudian yang beralih ke sektor usaha dengan bergerak pada usaha UMKM. Ada pula yang kemudian kembali ke sektor pertanian dan perkebunan seperti adanya budi daya papaya dan budi daya kopi. Apalagi sekarang banyak dibukanya café khusus kopi. Kondisi ini menjadi tantangan bagi generasi muda juga bagi masyarakat desa Tegalalang dalam menghadapi situasi pandemi ini. Kehidupan terus berlangsung dan kebutuhan masyarakat juga akan terus bertambah sehingga untuk mengatasi situasi pandemi ini membuat masyarakat desa segera adaptif dan kreatif dalam mengatasi perekonomian keluarga, maka dengan memulai usaha diharapkan mampu memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi mereka.

Abstract

The movie Birds of Prey contains a unique story with an uncommon main character who experiences a lot of things in her life throughout the plot. In which it involves the three dimensional aspects of the main character, such as; physiological, sociological, and psychological aspects. As the aims of this research are: (1) to analyze the three dimensional aspects present in the main character of Birds of Prey movie, (2) to analyze how the plot are developed based on the three dimensional aspects of the main character in Birds of Prey movie. This research was conducted by applying the qualitative method. The writer also uses two theories in this study, the first is the theory of three dimensional aspects of the main character by Egri (1946) and the second is the theory of plot proposed by Freytag (1895). Based on the result of this study, the writer found that physiologically, Harley is a pretty woman with an uncommon makeup and style. Sociologically, Harley is living miserably and surrounded by people who want to take revenge because she has no one to protect her since the breakup with Joker. Psychologically, Harley is seen as a brave woman because no matter how hard her life is, she always try to moves forward and live to the fullest. She is also smart, as she is a former psychiatrist. Though sometimes she does something crazy that is beyond imagination, she always has a way to overcome all of her problems in life. While, the plot consists of exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and denouement, in which each of these points are strongly correlated with the three dimensional aspects of main character to make a good storyline.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Evaluation of Cooperation in the Development of the Riau University Library with the Archives and Documentation Library of Riau Province". The purpose of this research is to find out the form of realization of cooperation and what are the obstacles faced by the Riau University Library with the Riau Province Archives and Documentation Library in the development of the Riau University library. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Data collection techniques using interviews. With the number of informants as many as 10 people. The results of data analysis show that the form of realization of collaboration with the Riau University library is collaborating with the Archives and Documentation Library of Riau Province, namely. Becoming a Member of the Suman HS Regional Library With the Electronic system, the collaboration has not been implemented. The obstacles faced by the Riau University Library and the Riau Province Documentation Archives Library are the change in the head of the library, lack of coordination between leaders, the application is not integrated, and the lack of experts on duty.

Abstract

One of the ethnic groups in Bali, apart from the Balinese ethnicity, is the Chinese. From arhaeological evidende, it can be seen that since the seventh century, Chinese ethnicity has existed in Bali. The ethnic Chinese who live in harmony with the Balinese are interesting to be studied, because outside Bali, this ethnic relationship shows a tendency to be disharmonious and conflicts often lead to violence. The exixtence of Chinese ethnic in Kintamani is interesting to be studied because the two ethnic group in. Kintamani knit a harmonious relationship, so as to create a harmonious life. The purpose of this study is to deconstruct social phenomena so that they can understand the various reasons that cause the two ethnic groups to live side by side in harmony. This study uses a qualitative descripte method with a critical ethnographic approach in the perspective of cultural science. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and document studies. The data were analyzed qualitatively by using critical social theory. The results of the study indicate that the harmonious relationship between ethnicities occurs because there is power and capital played by both ethnicities, in addition to historical and cultural factors.

Abstract

Garbage is now everywhere. Either in a residential area or in the center of the economy. In the economic environment, one of which is the market as an area that generally produces a lot of waste. Abstract

This study entitled Women’s Language Features Used by Taylor Swift in Grammy Interview Video 2015 is aimed to identify women’s language features and to analyze the language function used by Taylor Swift. All of the data were taken from the utterances delivered by Taylor Swift. The transcribe of the video were made by the author. Documentation method and note-taking were applied in collecting the data. In analyzing the data, Mixed-method was applied using Lakoff (2004) and the theory about language function proposed by Judy Pierson (1985) as supporting theory. As a result, there are 95 features of women’s language. Those were lexical hedges or filler, intensifier, hypercorrected grammar, super polite form, avoidance of strong swear words, and emphatic stress. The most dominant features occur in her utterance is intensifier. She used those features because she wanted to deeply emphasize or strengthen her utterances to attract the audience’s and the presenter’s attention. Not all types of women’s language features were used by her. Taylor Swift did not use four kinds of features such as tag questions, rising intonation on declarative, empty adjectives and precise color terms. Based on the findings of the features, there were three language features element in her utterances, such as to soften an utterance, to start a discussion and to express feelings or opinions. The language function element such as to express uncertainty and to get response were not found in her utterances. Each of the women’s language feature have one language function.

Abstract

What if one day antibiotics are no longer effective against bacteria? This is really worrying, considering that until now it has become the mainstay of the treatment of various diseases caused by bacteria. A review of antibiotic use in developing countries by Radyowijati and Haak reported to people that antibiotics are “miracle drugs” or “virtues” that can prevent or treat various diseases or symptoms. Pantai Cermin Village is one of the villages in Sangir Bntang Hari Subdistrict, Solok-Selatan Regency. The method of implementing the activity is face-to-face counseling and providing information directly to the people of Pantai Cermin village, which is expected to be more effective than outreach actions through mass media or leaflets. This step is completed by using an expansion strategy. The things that need to be prepared are: a) Availability of tools to identify the companion group b) office status c) Greetings of service d) Preparation of information documents by the moderator group e) Understand the implementation time. Antibiotics as a treatment When bacteria multiply and produce symptoms of disease, your immune system is actually already on your body's antibodies start trying to destroy it to stop the growth of bacteria,How to take antibiotics properly It is important to understand that although drugs are very beneficial, they should not be taken lightly . , Antibiotics as prevention In addition, antibiotics should not be taken during pregnancy, people who are at high risk of infection can receive this drug as a preventive measure in the medical world, this is called prophylaxis. Anti-infective/antibiotic group These drugs consist of many types, but their antitoxin properties can be divided into six groups. Thus we can emphasize that the recommendation to use antibiotics has led to an increase in public knowledge, especially housewives, pregnant women, and people who have other diseases that are not caused by bacteria in the village of Pantai Cermin about using antibiotics, and be wise in using the right antibiotics. It is hoped that in the future health workers will often monitor the circulation of antibiotics and educate the people of Pantai Cermin village about the dangers of antibiotic abuse.

Abstract

This study discusses Inter-religious Harmony in West Denpasar District, Denpasar City, from 2005-2021. West Denpasar is a district with a multicultural society. The population of West Denpasar is the largest among other districts in Denpasar City. The total population of West Denpasar based on the 2020 population census is 188,131 people, includes the number of Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Catholics, Buddhists, and Confucians. The issue of religion is often considered a sensitive issue, therefore maintaining harmony in a multicultural society is not an easy matter. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that occur inter-religious harmony. Main problem in this study: Why is inter-religious harmony occur in the people's social life in West Denpasar District? The theories used are rational choice, roles, and multiculturalism. This research is qualitative. The method used is the historical method with a comparative religious history approach. Data was collected through literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. The factors that support the occurrence of interreligious harmony in West Denpasar District, namely menyama braya, the role of the Denpasar City Inter-Religious Harmony Forum, and religious leaders, and rational choices in preventing conflict.
