Abstract

Prenatal yoga is a recommended choice for pregnant women because it can reduce physical discomfort. These activities include breathing exercises, stretches, strengthening positions, and relaxation techniques that help reduce back and neck muscle tension. This research aims to compare the reduction in physical discomfort scores of pregnant women who take part in prenatal yoga for 30, 45 and 60 minutes at Alanda Care, Pangkalpinang City in 2024. This research method is quantitative with pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection used the NRS (Numerical Rating Scale) questionnaire which was adopted from Petter and Perri 2005 in Fauziah 2012. The population of this study were all 90 pregnant women who took part in prenatal yoga at Alanda Care, Pangkalpinang City. The sample in this research was 30 respondents. This data was analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test and Anova test. The results of this research are that the value of the paired T-test results obtained is p value (0.000), this figure is smaller than the α (alpha) value ₌ 0.05. The Anova test results produce a p value = 0.000 which is smaller than alpha 0.05. So it was concluded that there was a difference in the average comparison of the reduction in physical discomfort scores for pregnant women who participated in prenatal yoga for 30, 45 and 60 minutes.

Abstract

Delivery via caesarean section can lead to complications, one of which is Post-Dural Puncture Headache (PDPH). PDPH occurs within 3 days, with 66% of PDPH cases emerging within the first 48 hours post-puncture. Although PDPH manifestations may spontaneously recover within one week or after the leak seals, PDPH disrupts the care provided by the mother for her baby. The purpose of this study to determine the incidence of PDPH in post-caesarean section patients with spinal anesthesia at RSUD Kardinah Tegal City. This quantitative research utilized a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size was 35, selected through total sampling, with the sample characteristics being patients aged 17-45 years, ASA 1-2, and 48 hours post-operation. The data was collected through observations using the International Headache Society questionnaire (IHS). Data analyzed with univariate analysis aimed at seeing a picture of the frequency distribution of each variable. The results indicate that PDPH occurred in 2 respondents (5.7%) at 48 hours post-caesarean section with spinal anesthesia, and in 3 respondents (8.6%) at 72 hours. The highest percentage of PDPH incidence at RSUD Kardinah Tegal City was observed within the first 72 hours post-caesarean section with spinal anesthesia. Based on these results, it is evident that post-caesarean section patients can experience PDPH on the third day, which can be used for evaluation and care planning for these patients.

Abstract

Stunting is chronic malnutrition which is based on an index of body length compared to age (PB/U) or height compared to age (TB/U) with a limit (z-score) of less than -2 SD (Standard Deviation). Stunting problems need to be detected early, so that the interventions given can reduce long-term effects. Detection and management of stunting is carried out through empowerment efforts. Family empowerment as an effective step to reduce stunting cases through prevention and management efforts. The role of parents is very important in preventing stunting through detection and management. Anthropometric-based instruments that are easy to use are needed for the detection and management of stunting. Objective to analyze the variety of health promotion strategies to prevent stunting. The research design is a Systematic Literature Review of articles or journals published in 2018-2023, accessed on Google Scholar, PubMed and Scopus with the Prisma Flow technique. Research with different designs ranging from descriptive studies to quasi-experimental and participatory studies shows that an integrated and family-based approach can significantly improve knowledge, skills and awareness about stunting prevention. Programs involving education on exclusive breastfeeding, healthy food processing for toddlers, and maternal reproductive health have proven effective in reducing the prevalence of stunting. Health promotion strategies found in the literature review were mostly conceptual rather than operational and did not show when these strategies successfully reduced stunting.
