Abstract

The current Covid-19 vaccination has reached most people throughout Indonesia. The main focus of this spectrum is on handling the Covid-19 pandemic through the provision of vaccines in Indonesia. The pandemic's impact is indisputably clear, especially in the Stunting Management Programs, which are likely not optimal and require a viable strategy in handling it. Objective: This study aims to identify the strategy of health workers in tackling stunting in rural areas during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Method: This study employs a quantitative descriptive design where the population involved are health workers holding nutrition programs from health centres in rural areas in the province of Bali. The sampling technique in this study utilizes a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling of 34 respondents. Afterwards, data collection was done online, with the inclusion criteria for health workers working as nutrition program holders and community health centres in rural areas. This study indicates that 55.90% of health workers are not well-performing at dealing with stunting during the pandemic, while 44.10% of them show positive performance. Therefore, prevention of stunting by health workers during a pandemic is one of the indicators of whether stunting is in a high or low incidence.

Abstract

Antioxidants can prevent free radicals which from the metabolism of the body, air pollution and contamination of food. Soursop leaves has a good potential as an antioxidant because it contains alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids and saponins. Meniran has a good potential as an antioxidant because it contains alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids and steroids. The combination of soursop leaves extract and meniran extract can provide very strong antioxidant activity than its singular forms. The aim of this study is to determine the antioxidant activity of the combination of soursop leaves extract and meniran extract compared to the singular forms. This research was done at the BPTO Tawangmangu Central Java, Indonesian and Chemical Laboratory, STIKES Nasional from October to December 2016. This type of research was experimental with quota sampling technique. The results showed that IC50 value of singular forms of soursop leaves extract was 116,5376 ppm. IC50 value of singular forms of meniran extract was 30,6893 ppm. IC50 value of combination forms of soursop leaves extract and meniran extract with ratio of 1:1 was 41,4710 ppm. IC50 value of combination forms of soursop leaves extract and meniran extract with ratio of 1:2 was 23,8590 ppm. IC50 value of combination forms of soursop leaves extract and meniran extract with ratio of 2:1 was 56,5174 ppm. The combination of soursop leaves extract and meniran extract had very strong antioxidant activity compared to its singular forms. The combination soursop leaves extract and meniran with ratio of 1:2 had the strongest antioxidant activity.

Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation and review of supporting documents. Data analysis used the concept of triangulation of sources, methods, and theories. There were 12 informants in this study, consisting of nurses in the isolation room at DKT Hospital in Bandar Lampung. Sampling with Random Sampling technique. Data collection tools used questionnaires and observation sheets, then the data analysis was univariate and bivariate using the chi square test. The author responded with the help of a questionnaire consisting of 14 questions in a questionnaire to 12 nurses who were nurses in the isolation room of the DKT Hospital in Bandar Lampung. Based on the questionnaire data distributed to 12 nurses in the isolation room, it was found that the anxiety level of nurses in the mild category was 1 person with a score of 19, and 11 others with moderate anxiety level with scores varying from 20-26. Abstract

Various studies have shown that Moringa oleifera leaves have benefits in preventing disease. It also has the potential to solve environmental problems as mosquito larvasides. This is presumably because Moringa leaves contain potentially beneficial compounds. Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the content of bioactive compounds in Moringa oleifera leaf extract qualitatively and quantitatively. This study was an descriptive study. The study was conducted in Kupang East Nusa Tenggara at September 2019. Moringa leaf extraction was carried out using maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent. The identification of compounds was qualitatively carried out using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) methods, while quantitative using spectrophotometric methods. Data was analyzed descriptively to describe the content of flavonoid, tannin, alkaloid, saponin. Study results showed that Moringa leaf extract had flavonoid, alkaloid, tannin and saponin components which were measured qualitatively. Quantitative measurement results showed that Moringa leaves have compounds Total alkaloid Equivalent Quinine 0,3% b/b, Total Flavonoid Equivalent Quercetin17,40 % b/b, Tannin Total Equivalent Tannic Acid 14,68 % b/b, Saponin 7,41% b/b. It is concluded that Moringa oleifera leaf extract has compounds that are beneficial for many things, both in disease prevention, larvasides and other benefits.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has lasted more than a year and is still not under control, marked by the high number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and the number of deaths. The handling of the pandemic is more focused on efforts to control transmission, one of which is by building herd immunity through the COVID-19 vaccination program. Along with the start of the vaccination program, problems arose regarding the number of hoaxes, especially regarding the Post-Immunization Adverse Events (PIAE) which raised doubts and public anxiety about being vaccinated. This study aims to determine the relationship between level of knowledge and motivation to carry out COVID-19 vaccination. This research is a descriptive correlational research with a sample of 81 people taken using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the level of knowledge of the respondents was mostly in the adequate category, namely 43 respondents (53.1%), while the motivation of respondents in carrying out COVID-19 vaccination was mostly in the adequate category, namely 67 respondents (82.7%). Based on the results of the Spearman Rank test (α = 5%) obtained a p value of 0.001 with a correlation coefficient of 0.356, so it can be interpreted that there is a correlation between the respondent's level of knowledge about COVID-19 Post-Immunization Adverse Events (PIAE) with motivation to vaccinate against COVID-19 with a moderate correlation strength. A good level of knowledge can increase the positive and enthusiastic perception of the community so that it can also increase motivation in carrying out COVID-19 vaccinations.
