Abstract

Obesity is excessive accumulation of fat due to an imbalance between energy intake and energy expenditure. This study aims as a community diagnosis to determine the respondent's body mass index and to determine the risk factors that have a reciprocal effect on the nutritional status of the community. This study uses a cross sectional method with a descriptive approach and using a backward logistic regression method: Wald. Data collection is carried out to the population was 55 women who met the inclusion criteria aged 21-65 years and were willing to become respondents. The results of this study, obtained information that the age of the respondent has a significant influence on the obesity status of the community with a significant value of 0.043 with an opportunity of 1.072 times. Likewise, the respondent's work has a significant value of 0.015, this provides information that the more the respondent do the physical activity, can protect the body from obesity status by 1.940 times or almost 2 times for the better. Obesity has a chance of 0.065 times affecting the incidence of hypertension with p-value 0,011. Not only that, a person's stomach circumference is closely related to the incidence of obesity with a p-value of 0.019 and an odds ratio value of 5.019. Eating packaged food such as instant noodles which is often done by respondents has a significant effect on obesity status of 0.059. Instant food will have a negative effect of 3 times of obesity.

Abstract

Rotator cuff tear portrays a frustrating experience with shoulder dysfunction and disability. Surgical repair showed satisfactory results when conservative treatment failed or not-indicated. Along with the surgical advancement, mini-open and arthroscopic surgery have a growing preference with minimal scarring, desirable pain relief, and functional improvement. To date, there are inconclusive results on which type of surgery is superior. Functional outcome and complication rates are equally balanced between the two surgeries, while some studies favor arthroscopic repair. The aim of study is to compare the clinical and functional outcome between arthroscopy and mini-open surgery for rotator cuff repair according to recent publications. This study conducted a thorough search for relevant scientific reports on multiple medical databases, including PubMed, Embase, and Google Scholar, using a combination of keywords such as "arthroscopic surgery," "mini-open surgery," and "rotator cuff repair". The search was performed in March 2013-2023, resulted in 576 studies. Two reviewers (SA, SL) independently screened the abstracts and reference lists, with any discrepancies resolved through consensus, concluding 3 included studies. The review aimed to answer the research question by comparing the clinical and functional improvements achieved with each treatment option. Three studies included studies are included with a total 469 patients consisting of 235 patients undergoing all arthroscopic and 234 patients undergoing mini-open rotator cuff repair. At 24 months follow-up, there are similar satisfactorily significant clinical and functional outcomes, including VAS score, range of motion, DASH and Constants score. Arthroscopic and mini-open surgeries serve equally balanced excellent options for rotator cuff repairs, providing pain relief, restoration of ROM, and improved functional outcomes.

Abstract

Narcissistic personality is a personality disorder that is often experienced by groups of teenagers in this modern technological era. This era causes various significant changes in aspects of life. Adolescents must have positive coping to adapt to significant changes in the environment, human resources and technological resources. Adolescents who cope negatively with these changes are at risk of developing narcissistic disorders. Adolescents with untreated narcissistic disorder may develop a narcissistic personality as a result of the condition's effects on their personality. The purpose of this review was to identify the factors affecting adolescents coping with narcissistic personalities. This review employed a literature review, with references sourced from articles/journals published between 2012 and 2022. Electronic databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, Wiley Online Library, and SpringerLink were used to conduct article searches. Several related research publications were obtained throughout the article search, including 1 from the Wiley Online Library, 47 from PubMed, 1 from CINAHL, and 419 from SpringerLink. From all of those articles, only five articles can be continued to analyze. All of five articles were review with inclusion and exclusion criteria to find factors influencing adolescents coping with a narcissistic personality. The findings of the synthesis of various articles show that both internal and external coping sources have an impact on adolescents' individual coping with a narcissistic personality. Internal factors consist of physical health, belief systems including beliefs or religion, commitments or life principles, feelings or emotional self, and social skills. Meanwhile, external factors include social support and material resources (economic conditions, home environmental conditions, and social relationship conditions).

Abstract

Identification of risk factors stunting is important as prevention and early detection. However, breastfeeding initiation, early exposure to colostrum, exclusive breastfeeding, and duration of breastfeeding as a risk factor of stunting is still inconsistent. This study aimed to analyze the association of breastfeeding practice with stunting in children under five years of age. Observational study with a case-control design was conducted in Sawan, Buleleng District. A total of 48 cases and 48 controls were selected to participate in the study by using cluster sampling. Stunting data were obtained by direct measurements using microtoise and length boards, while variables related to breastfeeding and respondent characteristics variables were obtained by direct interviews using a questionnaire. All item questionnaire were valid (r count > r table (0,367)) and reliabel (cronbach’s alpha 0,741). Data were analyzed with chi-square, and multivariate analysis by using logistic regression. The multivariate analysis result showed that variables were associated with stunting among children under five years of age are exclusive breastfeeding (AOR:4.27; 95%CI: 1.663-10.945), and breastfeeding initiation (AOR:3.46;95% CI:1.304-9.176). here is a need to increase the coverage of early breastfeeding initiation and exclusive breastfeeding to prevent an increase in stunting prevalence.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is one of the health problems in the world, with a prevalence of around 13.4% (11.7-15.1%), and end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) patients who require kidney transplant therapy are around 4,902 to 7,083 million. One of the treatments for CKD is hemodialysis. Hemodialysis is a treatment action performed on CKD patients in order to survive. However, these actions have side effects on the physical and psychological conditions of patients with CKD. To prevent the more severe impact of hemodialysis, CKD patients on hemodialysis require self care management including: diet monitoring, stress management, safe activities, good lifestyle, and medication monitoring. Self care management of CKD patients can be improved through the implementation of energy conservation strategies. Through this strategy, the patient will be empowered to be independent when carrying out their daily activities by carrying out the energy saving process, with prior teaching on the implementation of the energy conservation strategy itself. This study aims to knowing the effect of implementing energy conservation strategies on self care management of patients with chronic kidney disease with hemodialysis in the intervention group and the control group. This research is a quantitative research that uses a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test-post-test control group design approach. The number of samples was 32 people in the intervention group and 32 people in the control group.
