Abstract

Breast milk is the ideal food for growing newborns, as many components of breast milk serve as a source of nutrition for growth and as the first line of defense against infection. Mothers often fail to breastfeed or stop breastfeeding earlier than necessary. The problems faced by mothers in the hospital show that low milk production in the first few days after giving birth is an obstacle to breastfeeding their babies. The many reasons for mothers not to breastfeed their babies prove that lactation counseling needs to be given to mothers, especially during the post partum period. Objective:This study aims to determine the effect of lactation counseling on breastfeeding success in the Siti Hajar Room, RSU Islam Klaten. Method: The design of this research is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The sample used was 21 respondents. The data collection instrument used the LATCH questionnaire. Statistical test using wilcoxon. Results: The results showed that the characteristics of the respondents in this study were an average age of 25.10 ± 3.223 years, most of them had higher education (52.4%), worked (66.7%) and all respondents were primiparas (100%). Breastfeeding success before counseling averaged 6.19 ± 1.327 and after counseling averaged 9.00 ± 0.775 with an average increase of 2.81 while the p value was 0.000; α = 0.05. Conclusions: The conclusion of this study is that lactation counseling increases breastfeeding success.

Abstract

There was a significant increase in tuberculosis cases from 2016 to 2019 in Muaro Jambi Regency. Many studies on TB risk factors have been carried out, but spatial cluster analysis has never been carried out in Muaro Jambi Regency. This study aimed to identify the spatial clusters of TB in Muaro Jambi Regency in 2020 using the statistical Kulldorf's scan method. Data on all TB cases at sub-district level in 2020 were obtained from the Integrated Tuberculosis Information System (SITB) of the Jambi Provincial Health Office. Sub-district office coordinate data were obtained with the help of the Google Earth Pro application. Data were analyzed using Kulldorf’s poisson spatial scan statistics based on population data and monthly number of TB cases using the free application SaTScan 10.0. Statistical scan spatial analysis found one most likely to cluster and two secondary clusters. The most likely cluster occurs in Jambi Kecil Sub-district. The first secondary cluster was found in Kasang Pudak Sub-district, and the second secondary cluster was found in Sembubuk Sub-district. The results of this study are expected to assist policy makers in increasing efforts to control and prevent TB cases by focusing on high-risk areas.

Abstract

Dengue incidents in Jambi Province have spread to all districts/cities. Muaro Jambi Regency occupies the second position with the highest cases after Jambi Municipality. This study aims to determine the spatial autocorrelation of DHF cases in Muaro Jambi Regency in 2017–2021. The DHF cases analyzed in this study are case data recorded at the surveillance section of the Muaro Jambi Regency Health Office from 2017-2021. This study analyzed aggregate data from 22 working areas of community health centers in Muaro Jambi Regency. The software GeoDa 1.10 was used for analyzing the Global Moran Index and the Local Indicator for Spatial Autocorrelation (LISA). The results of the global moran's index analysis show that in 2017 (I=-0.400; p=0,001) and 2018 (I=-0,277; P=0,006) the pattern of distribution of DHF cases is spread , while in 2019 to 2021 the results of the analysis show that it is not significant. The results of the analysis using LISA found spatial autocorrelation of DHF cases in the High-High category (hotspots) in 2020 at the Tantan 1 Health Center. Areas with the Low-Low category (cold spots) in 2019 were found at the Kebon IX Health Center, and in 2021 at the Tempino Health Center.

Abstract

Diarrhea in under-five children is still a big challenge at the global and local level. Diarrheal disease is the second leading cause of death in children under the age of five worldwide. A spatial analysis of the incidence of diarrhea in under-five children has been conducted in Indonesia. However, there has been no research on the pattern of spatial distribution and hotspots of diarrhea in under-five children conducted on the island of Sumatra. This study aimed to identify hotspots for cases of diarrhea in under-five children on the island of Sumatra in 2018. This study used Basic Health Research data from 2018. Data analysis was carried out using Global Moran's Index and Local Indicator for Spatial Autocorrelation (LISA) ) methods. Distribution map was carried out using QGIS 3.30 software and spatial autocorrelation analysis using software open-source GeoDa 1.20 software. The results of this study found hotspots in the eastern part of the island of Sumatra, namely the Provinces of Nangroe Aceh Darussalam, North Sumatra, and Riau and low spots in the western part of the island of Sumatra, such as the Provinces of Lampung, Bangka Belitung, Riau Islands. This study suggests the health authorities to intensify programs in hotspot categories with high prevalence.
