Abstract

Interest in repeat visits is the response that arises when the patient wants to make a return visit. Assessment of the quality of health services aims to maintain the prevailing standards of service. The better the quality of services provided, the greater the chance of patients returning to visit. This study aims to determine the relationship between the quality of health services and the interest in revisiting inpatients at Rantauprapat Hospital. In this study, the type of research conducted was quantitative with a cross-sectional research design. The study was conducted at Rantauprapat Hospital, Labuhanbatu Regency in the inpatient room section in January-February 2024. The study population is all patients receiving treatment in the inpatient room of Rantauprapat Hospital as many as 17,070 patients in 2023 with a sample of 96 respondents using the Lemeshow formula. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnair. Data analysis was performed by univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that there was a relationship between Reliability (p-value 0.015), Assurance (p-value 0.015), Tangible (p-value 0.015), Responsiveness (p-value 0.002) with Inpatient Revisit Interest at Rantauprapat Hospital, and there was no relationship between Emphaty (p-value 0.678) and Inpatient Revisit Interest at Rantauprapat Hospital. The conclusion is that reliability, responsiveness, tangible, assurance are significantly related while emphaty is not significantly related. Suggestions that the quality of doctor service quality still needs to be improved related to the schedule of doctor visits to patients and nurses are more informative to patients.

Abstract

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic and recurrent inflammatory condition that affects patients' quality of life. One alternative that has an anti-inflammatory effect on AD is vitamin D (25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D). Although the main treatment for AD uses drugs such as corticosteroids or immunosuppressants, the side effects caused are quite high. Therefore, the aim of this review This literature aims to find out more about the effectiveness of vitamin D against AD, so that it can be an alternative treatment option. Objective: To determine the role of vitamin D in the treatment of atopic dermatitis. Method: The research took database sources from Pubmed, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Cochrane from 2014-2023 which were then selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria that had been created. A total of 17972 articles were found using the keywords ("Vitamin D" OR "Calciferol" OR "Calcitriol") AND "Atopic Dermatitis" AND ("Role" OR "Function") which then after screening, 16 articles were taken for this literature review. Results: AD is an inflammatory condition that is influenced by various factors. The severity of this disease can be assessed using SCORAD or EASI. AD patients generally have lower serum vitamin D levels and decreased SCORAD index. However, vitamin D supplementation in AD treatment varies according to each country and geographic region. Conclusions: Various studies have been conducted to review the effects of vitamin D supplementation on AD, but not all of them show significant effects. This is influenced by many factors, especially age, dosage, preparation, country and geographical area. So more in-depth research is needed on this matter.

Abstract

Cancer is a catabolic inflammatory disease that causes patients to experience frequent weight loss, or even cachexia in severe cases. Malnutrition in cancer patients impairs quality of life and therapeutic response, further leading to a poor prognosis. This study aims to determine various types of nutritional interventions that can improve the nutritional status of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The research method used is a systematic review through electronic databases and websites, namely PubMed, Scopus, ProQuest, and MedLine. The keywords used for the search were "Nutrition Intervention" AND "Nutritional Status" AND "Cancer patients" OR "Chemotherapy patient". The search for supporting articles was limited to the years 2015-2023, resulting in the identification of 953 articles. After identification, screening, and extraction according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 articles were included. The research results showed that from 12 research articles, it was found that providing nutritional interventions could be in the form of oral nutritional supplements, omega 3 supplements, as well as other supplements such as propolis, broccoli supplements, and additional parenteral nutrition at home. Providing this nutritional intervention can improve the nutritional status of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
