Abstract

Abstract

Klanceng Honey has many benefits for human health. It can boost immune system, act as an antibacterial agent and can also be used as an alternative medicine for diabetes, heart disease and stroke. Klanceng Honey is pure honey made from flower nectar that does not expire. The Klanceng honey farmer group in Kedawung village, Jumapolo district, Karanganyar regency, Central Java, has been in business for almost two years but has not made any progress. The results of the problem identification showed that there is no standardization of the activities that are carried out. The purpose of this community service program is to develop a business process to achieve working standards for Klanceng honey cultivation activities. The methodology used consists of 3 stages. The first stage is to observe and identify the problems of Klanceng honey farmers. The second step is to find references that are relevant to the business processes of the Klanceng honey farmer group. The third stage was to conduct interviews to create a standard operating procedure for the Klanceng honey farmer group. These stages resulted in a business process for Klanceng honey cultivation and a standard operating procedure for Klanceng honey cultivation activities that can be fully understood by all group members.

Abstract

Automatic plant sprinklers aim to replace manual work into automatic, as for the benefits obtained from this tool is that it can facilitate human work in watering onion plants. This tool uses a soil moisture sensor that functions as a soil moisture detector and sends commands to Arduino uno to turn on the relay so that the pump can turn on and splash water according to soil needs automatically. The design of this tool utilizes the nature of water, which is to fill empty space, and is always flat, this automatic plant sprinkler uses a water reservoir before water is splashed on the ground. Output holes applied to water reservoirs of the same height and diameter allow watering of the soil evenly. The results of the automatic plant sprinkler design test obtained after three tests, have a difference in the amount of water released from water hole one and water hole two, which ranges from 0-7%, which means it is still within the tolerance limit for onion plants, onion plants need soil moisture between 70-80%, which means it has a moisture tolerance between 10%.

Abstract

Baby walkers are promoted to parents as tools that can help children learn to walk. However, research shows that this is not true. Baby walkers have been shown to slow gross motor skills and increase the incidence of injuries. This counseling was conducted with the aim of providing education to parents, especially mothers who often accompany children in health post activities regarding the dangers of using baby walkers. The counseling method uses leaflet media and there is a pretest and post-test by giving a questionnaire containing several questions about baby walkers to assess the effectiveness of counseling. The evaluation results showed an increase in knowledge with a value of 97.5% of respondents able to answer perfectly and only 2.5% who could not answer the question perfectly. This value shows that counseling on the dangers of using baby walkers has the effectiveness of increasing parents' knowledge about the effects of using baby walkers on children's motor development. In this case, the risk of children's motor development problems can be avoided.

Abstract

In recent years, bullying cases have been quite concerning. Bullying or bullying is very threatening to the mental state of children. Bullying is a repetitive negative behavior that is carried out consciously, usually carried out by a person or group of people who have more power than the victim. For this reason, it is important for educational institutions to prepare or design Peer Counseling training for their students to support students' mental quality and minimize bullying problems that arise among school youth. This program was carried out using the TOT (training of trainer) method with a total of 15 peer counselors. The scales used are the empathic listening and Mental Health scales. The implications of this program can be used as a reference and understanding for female students in efforts to prevent and minimize cases of bullying that occur among school students. By conducting peer counseling training and mental health seminars with the theme of bullying at school, students can actively practice what they have learned from the service program in the hope of being able to help the performance of guidance and counseling teachers at school.

Abstract

Storage of medicines is an important aspect in ensuring the effectiveness of the medicine when consumed. Some medicines need to be stored in a special place such as a refrigerator. The length of time medicines are stored generally follows the expiry date (ED), which is the time limit for use of the medicine after it is produced by the pharmaceutical factory before the primary packaging is opened. If the primary packaging has been opened, it follows the beyond use date (BUD). The public sometimes pays little attention to where a drug is stored and how long it is stored. The aim of the activity is to provide knowledge for PKK members in Kauman Village, Malang City about storing medicines, especially those that require special storage and Beyond Use Date (BUD) of medicines. The method used is providing information and knowledge regarding drug management in the household, especially regarding drug storage and Beyond Use Date (BUD) with a socialization method implemented 3 (three) times. The results of the socialization activities from the first to the third stages ran smoothly. From the evaluation results, it is known that the knowledge of the 20 PKK members of Kauman Village, Malang City, who were involved, experienced an increase, where from the pre-test the average score was 6.60, while the post-test results averaged a score of 8.15. The percentage increase in knowledge based on the average post-test score was 23.4%. For this reason, when providing drug services, we are expected to always provide education regarding storage and how long the drug can be stored.
