Abstract

provide students with a basic understanding of user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX). The background to this activity is the importance of UI/UX skills in the increasingly developing digital world of work, especially for vocational school students who are prepared to go straight into industry. The methods used include providing theoretical material through presentations, demonstrations of the use of Figma tools, as well as direct practice by students. Design and development activities involve gradual teaching, starting from an introduction to basic UI/UX concepts, an introduction to the Figma interface, to the practice of making simple prototypes. Testing is carried out through evaluating students' work to improve the quality of their understanding and skills. The conclusion of this activity shows that students can understand and apply basic UI/UX concepts using Figma tools, and are able to produce creative and functional prototype designs. This program can improve students' competence in the field of digital design and prepare them for challenges in the world of work.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has made capital market movements more widespread, reaching across countries. Such as foreign investment activities, as funds from abroad, its role is very important for developing countries such as Indonesia. In practice, foreign investors use legal services and legal assistance obtained from advocates or offices that provide legal services, such as Cleon Businnes Consulting. As well as where the author carries out Field Work Practices (PKL). So this paper aims to overcome legal problems, especially in foreign investment activities. To support the process of writing this article, the author conducted a service as well as observations regarding the legal services provided by Cleon Business. So that this service is presented with the title “Strategy for Increasing Foreign Investment Through Legal Services by Cleon Business Consulting”. The method the author uses is the interview method with the company, so as to produce actual writing. The conclusion obtained in writing this article is that Cleon Business Consulting as Legal Consulting plays a crucial role in providing the services needed to ensure legal compliance and investment sustainability. Cleon Business Consulting provides 4 (four) legal services namely: 1) Pre Investment (legal services before the investment is made); 2) Invest and company establishment (investment and company establishment); 3) Company legal compliance (choosing the right legal entity for the company based on Indonesian law); 4) transaction handling (handling or handling all existing transactions). While the obstacles faced by Cleon Business Consulting while providing these legal services are: 1) related to the understanding of clients who are foreign nationals; 2) limited knowledge of the various stakeholders (shareholders) involved; 3) regulatory restrictions on the intentions of client needs.

Abstract

The implementation of participatory monitoring activities carried out by the Batam International University student group is a form of implementation of the community service program which aims to contribute to ensuring that all stages of the 2024 simultaneous elections held in Batam City can be held in accordance with the applicable election principles. This research uses a qualitative approach, namely through field observation methods. Through a community service program held by Batam International University in collaboration with the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Batam City, the implementation team succeeded in conducting participatory monitoring activities with the target of achieving the implementation of elections with integrity in Batam City, as well as ensuring the conformity between the number of voter data registered at polling stations (TPS) with data on the number of valid/invalid ballots at the time of ballot counting. The output of this activity is that all students are able to carry out monitoring activities at the polling stations (TPS) that have been determined properly, and report the results of observations in the field to the General Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) of Batam City through Google Form, this is done to ensure the data match on the C-Plano form uploaded through the SiRekap application with the data that has been reported by the monitoring team from Batam International University. With the implementation of this activity, it is hoped that it will be able to increase the awareness of the younger generation to care about the election process in Indonesia.

Abstract

This activity research implementation application with tools help for users implementation based web for UKM SuyteeStore in Malang. This application have content for understanding by user how to operate the application web for catalogue and order system where each content has explanation for each content as detailed in web based. Design in this application has simply design and easy understanding for users with HTML and PHP programming. The contents of help application in this application are information how to access web for the use of find products and detailed product as catalogue product, the use how to order in system, the use of how process after order in system, the information of UKM SuyteeStore and location and contact and the information in this application can help users to operate the web that building for catalogue and order system in application web based. This application is build as tool for user that link to web UKM SuyteeStore and help users to understand the contents in application web UKM SuyteeStore with different menus and content in this tools application as sub of the web in UKM SuyteeStore. This application is designed with the concept of theory for build application for users as help user guide that in the concept of build application user guide must be have fews contents that different with the application and the contents must be explanation the application contents as detail.

Abstract

Community service activities were carried out regarding training or/techniques for stringing nets without trying in the Masrum sub-district, Tual City, which was a common goal to improve fishermen's understanding and ability in stringing nets. The technique used in implementing PkM is several implementation stages, namely: (1) the preparation stage is coordination with Masrum Village fishermen (2). Implementation stage; Theory and Practice Training in Sero Net Making; (3). Evaluation activities are carried out to determine the abilities of fishermen. The fishermen from Masrum sub-district took part in the training activity enthusiastically following both the training material and practice provided by the PkM team regarding how/techniques to string nets without using coban. The evaluation carried out showed that 70% of the participants really understood the material and practices carried out by the PkM team. The results obtained show that the PkM was successful, smooth and there was good interaction between the service team and the participants. The results of this activity will increase the knowledge and understanding of Masrum fishermen about how to untangle nets without using coban or special nets for fishing gear.

Abstract

Household waste that is not managed properly can have a negative impact on the environment, especially in rural areas such as Puubenua Village, which does not have an adequate waste management system. One of the solutions offered to overcome this problem is to convert household waste into organic fertilizer, which is not only environmentally friendly but can also increase agricultural yields. The purpose of this activity is to provide training to the community on the processing of household waste into organic fertilizer, which is expected to reduce the volume of waste and farmers' dependence on chemical fertilizers. The methods used in this program include an initial survey to determine the condition of household waste in Puubenua Village, training in making organic fertilizer, and mentoring and monitoring for two months to ensure that the implementation of the program runs well. Data were collected through interviews and direct observation to evaluate the program's impact on the environment and agricultural productivity. The results of this program show that the processing of household waste into organic fertilizer has succeeded in reducing the volume of waste by up to 70%, as well as reducing the use of chemical fertilizers by farmers by up to 50%. In addition, public awareness of the importance of independent waste management has increased significantly, and the application of organic fertilizers has a positive impact on agricultural products. In conclusion, this program has succeeded in providing an effective solution to the household waste problem while improving the economic welfare of farmers. This program is expected to be implemented in other villages to support sustainable agriculture and environmentally friendly waste management

Abstract

Floor damage such as rough, cracked, broken, holes and wavy can disturb aesthetics, discomfort and increase the potential risk of accidents. Floor damage cause expansion and contraction, unstable foundations, inappropriate material selection, excessive loads and natural disasters, such as earthquakes. CV Cecak Construction is a company of civil engineering, construction and architecture. Because it operates in construction, the workforce, must have expertise to install and repair floors. This service activity, we can provide solutions to partners by providing and education about repairing floor damage using the innovative epoxy mortar method. Epoxy mortar is a polymer-based binding paste consisting of ingredients such as epoxy resin, solvents, binders, mineral fillers and some additives. Epoxy mortar functions to fill cracks because it can fill gaps in material cracks thereby preventing further damage, coating the concrete floor with a sturdy layer thereby reducing the brittle nature of the concrete. The aim this community service to provide knowledge and skills in repairing floor damage using the innovative method of applying epoxy mortar. Results of this program that CV Cecak Construction partners have increased knowledge and to repair damage to construction floors. Application of epoxy mortar to repair floor damage to partners (craftsmen and workers) without dismantling a recommendation for this program.

Abstract

Microsoft Office training for teachers in Mekong Village, West Tebing Tinggi District, aims to enhance teachers' technical competence in using software that is essential for the modern educational process. Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are expected to help teachers optimize the learning process, prepare teaching materials, and carry out administrative tasks more effectively. This training is highly relevant, especially for teachers in remote areas where the use of technology is often limited but very much needed to support more interactive learning and better-organized administration. The training is conducted face-to-face with a combination of lectures and hands-on practice, designed to ensure participants can understand and apply the material well. Teachers are trained in the use of important Microsoft Office features, such as creating mass mailings using mail merge in Word, analyzing student grade data in Excel with formulas like IF, VLOOKUP, and HLOOKUP, and creating interactive presentations in PowerPoint. With this method, the transfer of knowledge and skills occurs optimally, and participants can immediately apply the knowledge they have gained in the context of their daily work. The evaluation of the training results shows a significant improvement in participants' competencies, with an average increase of 25% based on pre-test and post-test results. In conclusion, face-to-face Microsoft Office training has proven effective in enhancing teachers' technical skills. For further development, it is recommended to have advanced training with a longer duration and more in-depth material, so that teachers are better prepared to face technological challenges in the world of education.

Abstract

Tomini Bay is rich in local cultural heritage, Including traditional arts and local wisdom passed down from generation to generation. However, amidst the waves of globalization and modernization, this cultural heritage faces significant threats. The lack of documentation and limited technological infrastructure in remote areas have made efforts to preserve the culture increasingly challenging. Recognizing this situation, our community service initiative was launched with the hope of assisting the people of Teluk Tomini in preserving and sustaining their cultural heritage. We began with a straightforward outreach, introducing technology to the community so they could document their local culture, including traditional dances, music, folklore, and other valuable artifacts. With the help of the community, we successfully captured this cultural wealth in digital formats such as video, audio, and photographs. Additionally, we developed a digital platform that allows this cultural heritage to be accessed not only by the local community but also globally. The impact of this initiative has been significant. The younger generation has become more aware of the importance of preserving their cultural heritage. However, technological barriers, such as limited internet access, remain a major challenge. We recognize that ongoing efforts are needed to overcome these obstacles, so the people of Teluk Tomini can continue to play an active role in safeguarding their cultural legacy. Through regular evaluation and monitoring, we continuously assess the success of the platform’s implementation. Our hope is that technology can serve as a bridge connecting the past and the future, ensuring that Teluk Tomini's cultural heritage remains vibrant in the face of modern advancements.

Abstract

Ar-Rahim Orphanage is one of the orphanages in Pekanbaru City. The problems that occur in this orphanage are the lack of children's knowledge about environmental health in orphanages and the lack of monitoring of environmental conditions. The purpose of this community service is to increase orphanage children's knowledge about environmental health and empower orphanage children as environmental health peer counselors who can motivate their friends to maintain environmental health independently. The results of this community service are an increase in orphanage children's knowledge about environmental health after counseling as seen from the pre-test and post-test results. The peer counselor program succeeded in empowering orphanage children to become role models in maintaining environmental health. Children not only receive direct benefits, but also play an active role in maintaining cleanliness in the orphanage environment. So it needs supervision from the orphanage manager so that orphanage children want to play a role in maintaining environmental health at the Ar-Rahim Pekanbaru orphanage.
