Abstract

The reclamation of Serangan Island in 1995-1998, resulted the physical change of the land that is to change the area of Serangan Island from 111 hectares to 481 hectares or to fourfold from the previous area, and to unite the area of the Serangan Island which on pre-reclamation in the form of island clusters. The first reclamation in Bali is of course due to a reasons, including the incompatibility of the initial planning objectives and the reality of post-reclamation, where most of the land becomes empty land, whereas the original idea was to build megawisata facilities such as golf, resorts, lagoon, yatch club , beach club house, superlot development in the form of villas, other tourism support facilities, and marina / ferry. The reclamation has resulted in changes in the physical condition of the land on a macro (global) and micro (detailed) basis. Based on this phenomenon, will be sought to know the things behind the changing physical condition of land pascareklamasi. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with observation technique, survey and document. Sampling is done by purposive sampling. The results of this study are the factors behind the physical change of land post-reclamation such as : physical conditon of land factors, economic, institutional and other factors such as social factors, culture, and belief or faith. Abstract

People will always try to condition his environment to achieve thermal comfort for his body. To conditioning the external environment is strongly influenced by climatic conditions. In other words, the comfort that humans feel in the outer space is depend on the thermal conditions of the environment. The object of outer space in this research is the built environment with the shape of Taman Kota I Gusti Ngurah Agung in Denpasar City. City Park as the object of research so far only judged from its function as a convenient recreational facility for the city community, both from the visual comfort and the thermal comfort. To answer the needs of thermal comfort in the city park, the focus of this research is the conditioning of the outer space elements with the concept of Balinese Traditional Architecture to improve the thermal comfort of the esksisting conditions. The purpose of this research is to produce thermal comfort optimization of city park through recommendation of arrangement model with the concept of Water Garden of Traditional Architecture of Bali. It takes thermal condition visualization using Envi-MET 3.1 software to see thermal enhancement improvement in the research object recommendation model. The result of this research is mapping of the increase of thermal comfort quantity distribution at the condition of urban park recommendation model. From the mapping of the thermal conditions, it is known that the thermal comfort level of the urban park recommendation model is higher. This result can then be followed up as a recommendation model of Taman Kota I Gusti Ngurah Made Agung with the concept of Water Garden of Traditional Architecture of Bali and the future can be applied in other cities with similar characteristics.

Abstract

In general, each region or ethnic group will have a work of architecture in the area. The work of the architecture can be a legacy of the previous generation or generated by the generations that existed at that time, either architectural works created or produced by the local / local generation as well as the architectural works left by immigrants who once ruled the area.Following the journey of a nation will be found is a relic of his main relic in the field of architecture from one time / era to the next time / era in the form of traces of his architectural journey through the period or era. If considered from the journey of architecture in Indonesia generally and in Bali in particular will be obtained works of architecture in the era or era experienced.Based on that, the era or period experienced in Bali can be divided as follows: Pre-History, Hindu Culture, Islamic Culture, Colonial / Colonial, Independence and Global or Modern Age. Abstract

The concept of Bali Building is still a tourist attraction not only for tourists but also various researchers who want to explore the meaning and function of the building. It can not be denied that the beauty of Balinese buildings is one of the factors that make up the natural beauty of Bali including the religious atmosphere in it. The house as the most dominant building in a residential area, also has its own characteristics in Bali. Rumah Bali can certainly have a place / means of worship commonly called Sanggah / Merajan. Even according to the Hindu concept, Sanggah / Merajan is the most important building in a house / residence. Pelinggih Gedong Saren is one part of Sanggah / Merajan. This building is an ancestral heritage that needs to be developed and preserved. Until now, the manuscripts that talk about Pelinggih Gedong Saren in particular are quite rare. So it is very necessary to conduct a special study on Pelinggih Gedong Saren so that later can be used as a consideration in the planning or making Pelinggih Gedong Saren in a Merajan or Sanggah. There are still many secrets and uniqueness in Pelinggih Gedong Saren, which notabena is an important building in the holy place of Hindu family. This research is a descriptive reasearch, which is intended for exploration and clarification of a phenomenon or social reality, by describing a number of variables concerning the problem and the unit under investigation. This type of research is not intended to attract a generation that causes a symptom or a social reality. Therefore, this study does not use and do not perform hypothesis testing because it is not intended to build and develop theory treasury. This study uses two types of data, namely primary and secondary. Primary data obtained from the results of research into the object (field) obtained directly through interview / interview and also observation. While the secondary data obtained from the study of literature, literature and lontar associated with this research. Furthermore, the analysis is done by descriptive analysis method that is a technique that try to describe and describe a problem (research variable) to be an analysis that able to explain each problem (research variable) is clear. In the future, the development of tourism will depend on the Spirit of Tourism itself. For Bali, known as the world's best destination, culture, customs, as well as the uniqueness of Bali that breathes Hinduism is the spirit of tourism itself. Understanding the meaning of each building that is a supporter of beauty and has an important function in the religious life of society is the long-term goal of this research. Abstract

Traditional Balinese architecture is a masterpiece born of a tradition, belief and spiritual activity of Balinese people embodied in various physical forms such as traditional houses, shrines, meeting halls and others. The birth of various physical manifestations is also caused by several factors, namely geographical, cultural, cultural and socio-economic conditions. Kori Agung as part of Balinese traditional architecture, is one of the entrance types passed down from generation to generation by our ancestors which is a manifestation of Hindu that underlies trust, custom as the norms of life. So there is an effort to preserve it so that the cultural values contained in it do not become faded.Along with the development of time, some demands emerged from the needs of people living towards the entrance, this paper will discuss matters relating to the layout, materials, size and also the philosophical value of the kori agung. Abstract

Singaraja town with its territory of 27,89 Km2 is a part of an administrative territory at Buleleng regency. Itâ??s predicted that Singaraja town is the only one having an â??urban designâ?. A territory has a meaning as a place of a city architecturally, and also itâ??s set up by a space. Beside the existence of a Puri (castle), a traditional market, a harbor, China-town and the others, at Singaraja town is also available a lot of the Dutchâ??s architectural heritage.A town image is a mental description of a city according to its societyâ??s viewpoint approximate. Related to be an effort of keeping Singaraja town image that has an unique characteristic, so it needs taking care and preserving by conducting a conservation.Key word : the image-Singaraja town-conservation

Abstract

Desa Belandingan adalah salah satu Desa Tradisional  Bali Aga Pegunungan. Desa Belandingan masih mempertahankan pola ruang tradisional  serta tradisinya. Status Desa Belandingan bersama 14  desa lainnya sebagai pendukung Geopark Batur yang oleh masyarakat Batur disebut dengan istilah “bintang danu”. Dengan kekhasannya sebagai desa tradisional bali aga serta statusnya sebagai desa pendukung Geopark, Belandingan  memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai Desa Wisata. Masyarakat Desa Belandingan sendiri memiliki keinginan mengembangkan pariwisata di desanya. Pada tahun 2017 desa Belandingan mendapatkan bantuan perumahan dari pemerintah baik dalam bentuk pembangunan rumah baru atau stimulan perumahan swadaya. Masuknya bantuan perumahan berdampak pada pola pemukiman Desa Belandingan tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui pengaruh bantuan perumahan terhadap pola pemukiman tradisional dengan menggunakan metode Kualitatif eksploratif deskriptif. Informasi didapatkan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling terhadap pihak-pihak penerima bantuan.  Adanya bantuan perumahan ternyata sangat berpengaruh dalam mengubah pola pemukiman tradisional di Desa Belandingan. Perubahan pola permukiman terjadi pada skala meso dan makro. Skala Meso terlihat dari perubahan pola pemukiman di blok perumahan (banjaran), sedangkan skala makro dilihat dari distribusi bantuan perumahan yang memungkinkan untuk terbentuknya permukiman baru Di Desa Belandingan. Banjaran yang paling tinggi  mendapatan perubahan setelah masuknya bantuan adalah banjaran anyar. Perubahan dalam tingkat sedang adalah banjaran Tangkas dan tingkat rendah adalah banjaran pemetelan, tengah, Pande, Asah, Panji, Tangkas Kaja Kangin dan Kayu Selem.

Abstract

Traditional Balinese architecture is a regional architecture that needs to be preserved in this globalization era. The knowledge and implementation of Balinese architecture is also increasingly diminished as the modernity influences the building (architecture). This is followed by the presence of a present-day architectural style dominated by minimalist architecture. The application of Balinese architecture today can only be found in the application of ornaments in the building façade. There are several types of traditional Balinese buildings that still survive until now such as Bale Dangin, Bale Meten/sakutus, Bale Dauh, Jineng/Kelumpu, Paon and others, the building is still surviving in terms of shape, function, and materials used since the first time. Bale Dangin serves as a place of ceremonies, so it is vital to the life of Balinese people who practice Hinduism. Therefore, it is necessary to do the effort to preserve and keep the cultural values of Bale Dangin. The research on Bale Dangin was conducted based on the lack of references that discussed the Bale Dangin thoroughly. This research also aims to determine the peculiarities of the building of Bale Dangin Sakenem seen from philosophical value, ethics and ritual, and get a form of guidelines regarding the building of Bale Dangin Sakenem which can be used as reference in designing or constructing the Bale Dangin Sakenem building. The research approach used in this research is based on qualitative descriptive research methods. Qualitative research intends to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by research subjects such as behavior, perception, motivation, action, holistically and with descriptions in the form of words and language in a particular context that Nature and by utilizing a variety of natural methods. The method of descriptive qualitative research on this study was used to describe the facts in the field related to the condition of Bale Bale Dangin Sakenem in the case study used, judging by the function of building, form, layout, as well as Development process from the beginning until the building is ready to be occupied. This research is expected to produce a special reference to the Bale building of the sakenem in a traditional Balinese house seen from the philosophical value, ethics and ritual and construction process. Indirectly, this can also preserve Balinese architecture that is in accordance with philosophy and meaning

Abstract

Traditional Sumba houses not only have meaning arising from the belief system, but also have technical solutions that are able to solve architectural problems arising from the shape of the building. The Mbatangu traditional house in Ratenggaro village, known as the tower house, is divided into 3 parts, namely the lower part (kali kambunga), the middle part or (uma dei), and the upper part (uma deta). These three parts have an integrated structural system from the foundation to the roof structure system so that this traditional house can stand in a unique shape and become part of the cultural heritage of the people of Southwest Sumba. Especially the Mbatangu traditional house on the coast, which has a roof which is much higher than other traditional houses in mountainous areas.
