Abstract

Banjarwaru Village is located in Nusa Wungu District and has several hamlets connected to the main road as access to transportation facilities. The lack of street lighting hampers the activities of village residents, especially at night. Road points that do not have public street lighting are far from residents' homes, so they cannot use PLN electricity sources. Seeing the conditions explained above, the need for technology with energy sources that utilize renewable energy such as solar power to supply power to public street lights has been widely implemented. Making street lights with a solar power supply with the application of modern technology is the main priority in this community service activity. The main target objective of this Community Service is the Public Street Lighting Program through the manufacture of street lights with power supply from solar energy. The implementation method in this service is through observation and experiments in the field in the process of designing and manufacturing public street lights and handing over technology transfer to the community. The results of making public street lights with solar energy supply using Arduino Mega which functions to receive data from the LDR sensor and is continued with testing battery charging with solar power. The installation of the LDR sensor will help the efficiency of the lights because it will control the lights to turn on automatically. The results of the manufacture of public street lights also provided assistance and training to the Banjarwaru Village community regarding how the equipment works and the repair process if problems arise in the future.

Abstract

Data-based planning is the process of collecting, analyzing and using data to determine goals, strategies and activities that will be carried out to improve and increase the quality of education in schools which is very important to understand in the Driving School Program. The aim of this workshop activity is that participants who attend are able to prepare data-based plans which will later produce Annual Work Plans (RKT) and School Work Plans and Budgets (RKAS) which are part of data-based planning in schools. The method used in the form of a data-based planning workshop is participatory from the learning committee, namely the principal and elementary school teachers of each school, including from 4 levels of elementary school, namely SDN 100 Dare Bunga-Bungae, SDN 118 Ujung, SDN 238 Laempa, and SDN 5 Mattiropole in the area. Soppeng Regency. The data-based planning workshop activity was held on Saturday 11 November 2023 at SMPN 3 Watansoppeng by involving participants directly during the activity with a flow of activities starting from the opening, starting from the self, concept exploration, collaboration space, contextual demonstration, real action plan and closing. The final result of this data-based planning workshop activity is a draft product of the Annual Work Plan (RKT) and School Work Plan and Budget (RKAS). Thus, these data-based planning activities can have a positive impact on each school in the Class I Driving School Program, which can strengthen various participants' skills and competencies in preparing designs related to data-based planning, thereby encouraging digitalization in schools

Abstract

Empowering rural communities is essential for sustainable development, especially in the economic sector. This community service program aims to increase the sales capacity of the Sunyalangu Village Community Empowerment Cadres (KPMD) through digital marketing training. The main problems include simple packaging, conventional marketing methods, and poor business management practices. This program uses a community service method, Service Learning (SL), which involves practical steps such as product packaging training and digital marketing strategy workshops. This project significantly improved participants' skills in using sealer machines and promoting products online, especially on platforms like Shopee. The method of implementing strategic digital marketing communication training was carried out with a structured and interactive approach over two meetings. The results showed the importance of digital literacy in rural areas to achieve maximum business potential and improve economic sustainability. This training has successfully introduced participants to the world of online trading and provided them with practical skills in utilizing digital platforms to market processed products from the community.

Abstract

The use of the word 'Anjing' (dog) as part of everyday language in Indonesia has undergone a cultural transformation. The word, originally defined as an animal, has shifted in meaning to become a term expressing a myriad of emotions, often used as a curse word. This social phenomenon is designed to capture the various interpretations of the word 'Anjing', both its original meaning (langue) and the meanings it has acquired over time (parole). This theme is significant in understanding the intentions behind the use of the word 'Anjing' in everyday language, whether it is used as an insult towards others or as a word devoid of meaning. The social activity employs an experimental method through the installation of an art exhibit called the 'mystery box', containing numerous writings related to the word 'Anjing', as well as audio and video displaying vocalizations of dogs. The results show that late adolescent and early adult subjects quickly interpret the word 'Anjing' as an insult. In contrast, early adolescent, late adult, and elderly subjects interpret 'Anjing' as an animal, without any tendency towards using it as an insult. This is supported by the use of different insults in the past and indicates the position of insults as cultural artifacts. Furthermore, the experiment serves as a reminder that each individual has a different interpretation of things, which cannot be imposed by others due to their differing experiences and knowledge.

Abstract

Residents of Dusun Sidasari RT.7 RW.01 Sidabowa Village, Patikraja District, Banyumas Regency use a shared water tank to store water from wells to meet their clean water needs. The problem faced by these residents is that there is often a water deficit in the reservoir so the water in the reservoir runs out without the residents knowing. This happens because if there is a pipe leak that is not known by the residents, this has an impact on the work of the pump machine which works extra hard, resulting in the pump machine being damaged several times. Therefore, in this Community Service activity, a Water Reservoir Monitoring System has been implemented. This system will monitor the condition of the water tank. Residents can monitor these conditions through a display on a mobile application so that residents can find out if there is a water deficit in the water reservoir. The output of this activity is an increase in the insight and knowledge of RT administrators and residents regarding technology, accompanied by the installation of devices that have been implemented. The problem of water deficit in the reservoir was successfully overcome through the implementation of monitoring technology. This system allows residents and RT administrators to monitor water conditions in real time, making it easier to identify and anticipate water shortages. Tracking data for 1 week shows increased management efficiency, with the tank filled more than 75% and the empty rate reduced significantly. This success reflects the effectiveness of the system in preventing water deficits. This shows that the community's enthusiasm for this technology also supports better water management. The early detection offered allows monitoring of water conditions in their environment to be met without any obstacles.

Abstract

Visually impaired children have limitations in learning Braille due to limited resources and improper facilities. These limitations mean that independent learning activities at home cannot be carried out because they require a teacher who understands Braille. This service activity is carried out to provide training to blind children on the use of Braille learning tools. This service aims to enable blind children to learn Braille letters independently without needing a teacher. Training activities consist of an introduction to Braille letters, an explanation of Braille learning devices, and training on the use of devices for self-learning. The results of the service show that Braille learning technology devices help students in learning independently. There are 6 students and 1 blind teacher who became respondents who agreed that the learning device can be used independently without the help of a companion teacher. Respondents also agreed that the use of assistive technology in learning devices is easy to use. Students have been able to use learning tools independently without the help of a companion teacher to study outside of school.
