Abstract

This study aims to see how big is the relationship between authoritarian parenting and bullying behavior in Harapan Sejahtera Christian Private Vocational High School students in Nias. Research with quantitative correlational type with a sample of 63 people. The authoritarian parenting scale is based on the characteristics of authoritarian parenting according to Baumrind, (Santrock 2004). namely: Parents emphasize that all parental rules must be obeyed by children, Parents act arbitrarily without being controlled by children, Children must obey and must not argue against what is ordered by parents. The bullying behavior scale is revealed based on the characteristics of bullying behavior according to Astuti (2008) which is usually aggressive both verbally and physically, wants to be popular, often causes trouble, finds fault with others, is vindictive, envious, lives in groups and controls social life at school. The results obtained a positive relationship between authoritarian parenting bullying behavior, where rxy = 0.449 with a significant p = 0.000 0.050. This means that the proposed hypothesis is accepted. The coefficient of determinant (r2) = 0.201 This shows that authoritarian parenting contributes to bullying behavior by 20.1%. It is known that the authoritarian parenting style is high with a hypothetical value of 57.5 and an empirical value of 65.73. Furthermore, bullying behavior is classified as high with a hypothetical average value of 105 and an empirical average value of 118.68.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of employee discipline factors at the Office of the Cellular Telecommunications Cooperative at Sumbagut Region Medan. In this study, the employee population worked at the Sumbagut Medan Regional Cellular Telecommunication Cooperative Office was 60 permanent employees. The problem is focused on factors affecting the work discipline of employees at the Office of the Cellular Telecommunications Cooperative at Sumbagut Region Medan. In approaching this problem, a theoretical reference from Hasibuan (2016) is used which states that there are 5 factors that affect the work discipline of employees in an organization, namely goals and abilities, leadership, competence, punitive sanctions and waskat. The data were collected through the dissemination of a work discipline scale to employees of the Office of the Cellular Telecommunications Cooperative at Sumbagut Region Medan and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. This study concluded that there was an orderly factor, waskat of 21.25%, then the next factor was compensation of 20.54%, and followed also by a leadership factor of 20.09%, then the goal and ability factor of 19.24% and the lowest factor affecting work discipline was the punishment factor of 18.88%.

Abstract

This article aims to determine the relationship between the perception of Picture Health Warning and men who smoke in the village of Siti Ambia. This research method uses quantitative methods. The population of this study was 1,918 people and a sample of 237 people in the village of Siti Ambia, the researchers used a non-probability sampling technique, namely accidental sampling. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between the perception of health warning images and smoking behavior seen from the coefficient value (Rxy) = - 0, 144 with p = 0.027 in the community in the village of Siti Ambia, meaning the hypothesis that there is a negative relationship and significant perception of health warning images with smoking behavior is accepted, as well as the value (R2) which has a value of 0.021 this is equivalent to 2.1% meaning that the perception of health warning images contributes 2.1% (low) to the community in the village of Siti Ambia, it can be said that the contribution raised by the perception of picture health warning in reducing smoking in the village of siti ambia.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically test and determine the relationship between family support and work-family conflict among female policewomen at the North Sumatra Regional Police. The sample used in this study were 45 female police officers from the general criminal directorate at the North Sumatra Police. The technique used by the researcher is purposive sampling technique. Family support in this study was measured based on aspects of family support. Work-family conflict in this study is measured by aspects. Where the higher the Work-family conflict score, the higher the Work-family conflict score, conversely, the lower the Work-family conflict score, the higher the Work-family conflict score. It can be seen that there is a negative relationship between family support and work-family conflict. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.771, with significant p = 0.000 0.05. The determinant coefficient (r2)= 0,595. This shows that social support is distributed by 59.5%% of Work-family Conflict. Based on the results of the calculation of the hypothetical and empirical mean values, it can be concluded that family support is low with a hypothetical mean value of 57.5 and an empirical mean of 45.27. Furthermore, it can be concluded that Work-family Conflict is classified as high with a hypothetical value of 100 and an empirical value of 118.84.

Abstract

This article or paper aims to find out the relationship between self-confidence and social adjustment of class X teenagers at nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa private high school. The problem is focused on the relationship between self-confidence and social adjustment in class X adolescents at nurul Amaliyah Tanjung private high school. To approach this problem, theoretical references from Hurlock (2002) and Lauster (Ghufron and Risnawita, 2010) are used. The data was collected through the Likert scale and quantitatively analyzed.  This study concluded that the results of the product moment correlation were known to have a relationship between self-confidence and social adjustment in class X adolescents at nurul amaliyah tanjung morawa private high school, where r_xy= 0.598 ; p = 0.000 0.050. the determinant coefficient (r^2) of the relationship between the free variable (X) and the bound variable (Y) is 0.358. This suggests that Social Adjustment is influenced by Self-Confidence. Self-confidence of 0.358% affects social adjustment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the correlation between self-control and online game addiction in teenagers environment Jl. Enggang Perumnas Mandala Medan. This research uses quantitative research methods. The research hypothesis is there is a positive relationship between online game addiction in teenager environment Jl. Enggang Peumnas Mandala Medan. This studi uses a total sampling technique in teenagers environment Jl. Enggang Perumnas Mandala Medan consisting 75 teenagers. The scale method used in this was online game addiction and self-control scale. The data analysis used in this research was product moment with the help of computer program for MS. Windows version 22. The results of data analysis show that the value of the correlation coefficient (r)0,557 and significant (p) = 0,000 wich means p 0,05 there is  a correlation  between  online game addiction and self-control in teenagers environment Jl. Enggang Perumnas Mandala Medan. Variable online game addiction has an empirical average (RE) 141,93 and a hypothetical is (RH) 117 means that online game addiction is high, variable self-control has an empirical average (Re) 87,41 and a Hypothetical is (RH) 77 means that self-control is moderate.

Abstract

This paper aims to determine the differences in employee performance in terms of introvert and extrovert personality types. Problems focused on employee performance and personality type. In order to approach this problem, the theoretical reference from Wirawan (2009) is used for aspects of employee performance and the theory from Carl Jung for indicators of introverted and extroverted personality types. Nusantara IV Plantation. The number of samples in this study were 60 employees with the sampling technique used was total sampling. The data were collected through a screening test to see personality types, and employee performance data from company data and analyzed qualitatively. In line with the discussion in the theoretical basis, the hypothesis proposed in this study is that there are differences in employee performance in terms of introverted and extroverted personality types with the assumption that the performance of extroverted personality type employees is higher than that of Introverted personality type employees. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, the results obtained that the hypothesis was rejected. The results of data analysis through the one way ANOVA test showed sig (p) = 0.100 where the criteria p: 0.05 then it was stated that there was a difference or vice versa. The normality test was declared normal with a value of 0.137. The homogeneity test of this study was 0.165 and was declared homogeneous. The empirical mean of performance on the extrovert personality type is 23.80, and the empirical mean of the introverted personality type is 22.60. This study concludes that there is no difference in employee performance in terms of introverted and extroverted personality types so that the proposed hypothesis is rejected and the performance of extroverted personality type employees has a higher average value than introverts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the corellation between workload and work stress on employees of SPPBE PT. Mitha Sarana Wijaya. The problem that is focused on this research is to determine the corellation between workload and work stress on employees of SPPBE PT. Mitha Sarana Wijaya in the Filling Hall area. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive corellation between workload and work stress for SPPBE employees in the Filling Hall area, meaning that the higher the workload, the higher the work stress. Conversely, the lower the workload of employees, the lower the work stress. The sample in this study were 32 employees of PT. Mitha Sarana Wijaya. The sampling technique in this study is a total sampling technique. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The form of the scale in this study is a Likert scale. To approach this problem, the theoretical reference is used from the workload aspect according to Tarwaka (2011) and the work stress aspect according to Robbin (2006). In this study, there are two scales, namely the workload scale and the work stress scale. with the coefficient of workload reliability with the Cronbach Alpha formula 0.954 and the work stress reliability coefficient with the Cronbach Alpha formula 0.911. Data analysis using product moment correlation. Based on data analysis, there is a significant relationship between workload and employee work stress (rxy = 0.493; P = 0.004 0.05). Furthermore, it is known that the contribution of workload to work stress on employees is 24.3% while 75.7% is influenced by other factors. It is known that the workload is classified as high where the hypothetical mean is 75 from the empirical mean 92.84 and the difference exceeds the SD value of 16,760. And work stress is also high where the hypothetical mean is 72.5 from the empirical mean 95.41 and the difference exceeds the SD value of 12.735

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan prokrastinasi pada siswa SMA Mulia Pratama Medan yang ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Prokrastinasi adalah perilaku menunda nunda tugas penting akademik yang harus di selesaikan dan lebih memilih melakukan aktivitas yang dianggap lebih menyenangkan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi SMA Mulia Pratama Medan yang berjumlah 86 orang dengan rincian  laki-laki 40 orang dan perempuan 46 orang. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengampilan sampel purposive sampling. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian komparasi. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala prokrastinasi. Setelah dilakukan analisis data dengan menggunakan metode anova satu jalur ditemukan adanya perbedaan prokrastinasi yang signifikan antara laki-laki dan perempuan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,027 0,05. Meskipun demikian menurut hasil mean empirik menunjukkan hasil bahwa prokrastikasi laki-laki dan perempuan sama-sama dalam kategori tinggi diimana prokrastinasi laki-laki menunjukkan nilai empirik sebesar 148,98 dengan SD 11,922 dengan SD 18,371 dan perempuan sebesar 141,30. Perbedaan keduanya memiliki selisih hanya sebesar 7,68.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship of social support and emotional intelligence with prosocial behavior in students of State Junior High School 3 in Binjai City. The sampling technique in this study is simple random sampling technique. The researcher determines the sample by random number from the population number of the population in each class, and obtained a sample of 177 students. The results of the study with multiple regression analysis using SPSS. Version.18 shows the price of the correlation coefficient R = 0.763 with P = 0.000 0.05. So it can be concluded that together social support and emotional intelligence variables are significantly correlated with prosocial behavior variables. Effective contribution of variables X1 and X2 to Y is indicated by the price of R2 = 0.582, which means that the variables of social support and emotional intelligence together contribute 58.2% to prosocial behavior. Partially the results of statistical calculations show the price of t = 6.511 at P = 0.00 for the correlation of social support variables with prosocial behavior. Price t = 7.211 at P = 0.00 for the correlation of emotional intelligence variables with prosocial behavior, meaning that partially social support variables and emotional intelligence variables also correlate significantly with prosocial behavior.
