Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan empati dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan komunikasi interpersonal pada siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Binjai. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X dan XI MAN Binjai berjumlah 592 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 85 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan tiga skala yang terdiri dari skala empati, skala dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan skala komunikasi interpersonal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menjawab hipotesis penelitian ini adalah regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara empati dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan komunikasi interpersonal dibuktikan dengan koefisien Rx_1.2y= 0.733 dan p = 0,000 (p 0.05). Persentase sumbangan efektif dari kedua variabel bebas empati dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan komunikasi interpersonal adalah sebesar 53.7%. Dari hasil ini diketahui bahwa masih terdapat 46.3% sumbangan dari faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Dari hasil perhitungan mean hipotetik dan mean empirik diperoleh empati, dukungan sosial teman sebaya berada pada kategori tinggi. Disarankan kepada siswa untuk terus meningkatkan rasa empati terhadap sesama serta saling memberikan dukungan sosial kepada sesama teman sebaya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and empirically test the relationship between family support and self-esteem of former drug addicts at BNN North Sumatra. The population in this study were drug addicts at the BNN North Sumatra as many as 80 people. The sampling technique in this study used total sampling. Self-esteem compiled by researchers based on aspects according to Coopersmith (in Komaruddin et al, 2016) Power (power), Significance (Significance), Virtue (Virtue), Ability (Competence). Family support in this study was measured by aspects according to Gunarsa Gunarsa (2012): Giving real support, giving attention, giving warmth, and giving love and protection. It is known that there is a positive relationship between family support and self-esteem. This result is evidenced by the correlation rxy = 0.979, with significant p = 0.000 0.05. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is r2= 0.959. This shows that family support is distributed 95.90% of self-esteem. It can be concluded that family support is very low with a hypothetical mean of 67,500 and an empirical mean of 52,600. Furthermore, self-esteem is classified as very low with a hypothetical mean value of 112,500 and an empirical mean of 87,750.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan perilaku Prososial siswa yangdiberikan melalui layanan konseling kelompok yaitu teknik sosiodrama dan teknik homeroom yang dilihat melalui kepribadian siswa yaitu kepribadian ekstrovert dan kepribadian introvert. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain factorial 2x2. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 11 Medan yang terdiridari dua kelas, dimana kelas pertama sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas kedua sebagai kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini yaitu kuesioner Kepribadian dan Perilaku Prososial. Hasil penelitian menunjukan  yang pertama ialah adanya pengaruh Konseling Kelompok terhadap peningkatan perilaku prososial siswa terdapat peningkatan nilai signifikan  yang ditunjukkan oleh 0,000 0,005  maka dapat dikatakan bahwa hasil pengujian hipotesis menolak H0 atau menerima Ha dalam taraf alpha 5%, yang kedua ada pengaruh Kepribadian terhadap peningkatan perilaku prososial siswa. terdapat peningkatan nilai signifikan terhadap perilaku prososial yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi 0,0030,005 maka dapat dikatakan bahwa hasil pengujian hipotesis menolak H0 atau menerima Ha dalam taraf alpha 5% yang artinya ada pengaruh kepribadian terhaap perilaku prososial siswa, dan yang ketiga adanya interaksi terhadap konseling kelompok dan kepribadian yang berpengaruh pada signifikan terhadap prososial yang ditunjukkan oleh  0,015 005. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa hasil pengujian hipotesis menolak H0 atau menerima Ha dalam taraf 5%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlations between social support and employee job stress at CV. Buana Pillar Mandiri. The type of research used in this study is a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 72 permanent employees CV. Buana Pillar Mandiri. The technique used by researchers is Total Sampling. The results of a negative correlation between social support and work stress, with a correlation coefficient of rxy = -0.594, with a significant p = 0.000 0.05, meaning that the hypothesis is accepted. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the relationship between the independent variable and the variable is r2= 0.352. This shows that social support is distributed by 35.20% of work stress. This shows that there are 64.80% other factors that influence work stress such as: work intrinsic factors, workload, individual roles, career development, relationships in work, organizational structure, from outside the organization and individual characteristics. Based on the mean test, it can be seen that social support obtained moderate results. Furthermore, the overall work stress results are moderate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between lifestyle and motivation with consumptive behavior among Al-Azhar High School students in Medan. This type of research is a quantitative study with a correlational approach with a sample of 128 Al-Azhar high school students obtained through screening. The research sample uses a total sampling technique. Measuring instruments used in this study are data collection techniques obtained through lifestyle scales, motivational scales and consumer behavior scales. Data analysis techniques used multiple regression analysis techniques with  = 0.05. The results of data analysis in this study indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between lifestyle with consumptive behavior with p-value = 0,000, correlation coefficient rx1y = 0.780 and with determination r2 = 0.609 (60.9%). There is a positive and significant relationship between motivation with consumptive behavior with p-value 0,000, correlation rx2y = 0.734 and with determination r2 = 0.538 (53.8%). There is a positive and significant relationship between lifestyle and motivation with consumptive behavior with a p-value of 0,000, a correlation of rx1x2y = 0.857 and with a determination of r2 = 0.735 (73.5%). Thus it can be concluded that the higher the lifestyle and motivation, the higher the consumptive behavior. The suggestion in this research is that schools can create an atmosphere that can control the culture of consumptive behavior by doing charitable behavior such as sharing and saving.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self esteem dan self disclosure dengan komunikasi interpersonal pada siswa, pendekatan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X dan XI MAN Binjai berjumlah 592. Pengambilan sampel secara random sampling berjumlah 85 siswa. Objek penelitian ini terdiri atas tiga variabel terikat adalah komunikasi interpersonal dan variabel bebas adalah self esteem dan self disclosure. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN Binjai pada bulan mei 2018. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah  menggunakan angket dalam bentuk skala yang mengacu pada pernyataan seseorang terhadap dirinya sendiri. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menjawab hipotesis penelitian ini adalah uji regresi berganda. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan, diperoleh hasil terdapat hubungan positif self esteem dan self disclosure dengan komunikasi interpersonal. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi, dimana rxy: 0,435 ; P : 0,000 0,050. Sumbangan efektif untuk self esteem dengan komunikasi interpersonal sebesar 14,8% dan sumbangan efektif self disclosure dengan komunikasi interpersonal sebesar 4,4%, dari hasil perhitungan mean hipotetik dan mean empirik diperoleh self esteem, self disclosure dan komunikasi interpersonal berada pada kategori tinggi. Rekomendasi: Disarankan untuk terus membuka diri dan berkomunikasi dengan guru dan sesama teman.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the correlation between anxiety and academic procrastination in students at private high school Al Washliyah 3 Medan. The scale used in this study is the anxiety scale and the procrastination scale where the subjects in this study were private high school students Al Washliyah 3 Medan who found 61 students. The data analysis method used in this study is Product Moment correlation, so the following results can be obtained: there is a significant positive correlation between anxiety and academic procrastination. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.409; P = 0.000 0.05, that anxiety about academic procrastination is 16.7%. From these results it is known that there are still 83.3% of other factors of academic procrastination that are not explained in the study and are not seen in this study. Students have high anxiety that with empirical mean = 133.33 hypothetical mean = 93 where the second difference exceeds SD number = 15.344 and students' academic procrastination is high with empirical mean 129.70 hypothetical mean = 102 where the difference between the two means exceeds the number SD = 15,920 . From the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the relationship between moral reasoning and academic dishonesty in psychology faculty students at UMA. The problem is focused on academic dishonesty carried out by students. To approach this problem, the theoretical reference from Anderman Murdock (2007) is used that academic dishonesty is any completeness or assistance that is not allowed to be used in academic tasks and or activities that interfere with the assessment process. Data were collected using a Likert scale model with two scales, namely the moral reasoning scale and the academic dishonesty scale which were compiled by researchers and analyzed quantitatively. The results of the study using the product moment cotellation technique showed that there was a significant negative relationship between moral reasoning and academic dishonesty with an rxy value of -0.589 and p = 0.000. The results of this study conclude that the higher the academic dishonesty that is carried out, the lower the moral reasoning possessed by students and according to the results of the data analysis carried out, it is known that the students' moral reasoning is low and the academic dishonesty of students is high.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how big the correlation between Loneliness and Problematic Internet Use in late adolescent using social media at the Faculty of Psychology University of Medan Area. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between Loneliness and Problematic Internet Use in late adolescent. The subjects of this study found 62 people who were taken using Purposive Sampling. The data collection method in this study is a scale consisting of the Loneliness scale and the Problematic Internet Use scale. The data analysis method used in this research is Pearson's product moment correlation technique. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the hypothesis is accepted with a value of ( ) = 0.705 with a significance of p = 0.000 0.05. This means that there is a positive relationship between Loneliness and Problematic Internet Use, with the assumption that the higher Loneliness, the higher the Problematic Internet Use in late adolescents at the Faculty of Psychology University of Medan Area and vice versa, the lower Loneliness the lower Problematic Internet Use in late adolescents at the Faculty of Psychology University of Medan Area. Loneliness contributes 49.7% to Problematic Internet Use.

Abstract

This article aims to see the relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination in completing thesis on students at the Faculty of Psychology UMA. The problem is focused on self-efficacy and academic procrastination only. In order to approach this problem, the theoretical reference from Bandura and MC Crown is used. The data were collected through a Likert scale and analyzed quantitatively. Sampling techniques and data using. There are two Likert scales, namely the self-efficacy scale and academic procrastination. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, with a total sample of 85 students of the Faculty of Psychology UMA who are completing their thesis. The data analysis test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov technique (rxy) obtained a result of 0.968 with a significance of p = 0.000 0.050. This means that the hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is a negative relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination in students of the Faculty of Psychology UMA who are completing their thesis. Self-efficacy is classified as low where the hypothetical mean = 92.5 empirical mean = 91.70 and the difference exceeds the SD number = 22.58. Academic procrastination is high where the hypothetical mean = 87.5 empirical mean = 113.30 and the difference exceeds the SD number = 14.22. The coefficient of the determinant of the correlation is r2 = 0.937. This study concludes that self-efficacy contributes effectively to academic procrastination by 93.7%.
