Abstract

Japanese adjective(けいようし) is different with Indonesian adjective. Japanese adjective(けいようし)categorized into two kinds, adjective (けいようし) -i and -na ending. The Japanese -i ending should follow adjectives with the last letters at -ii, -ai, -oi and -ui. Therefore, these adjectives(けいようし) are knownas -i for example: oishii おいしい –delicious, chiisai ちいさい –small, omoshiroi おもしろい – interesting, warui わるい –ugly. Japanese adjective(けいようし) meaning keiyoushi serves to show the state, characteristic or feeling which has -i ending. The method used in this research was descriptive. It is a precise method to achieve a maximal achievement of the research -i . Based on the analysis, a conclusion can be drawn regard to the usage of sentence pattern of keiyoushi -i ending adjective, they are: 1. The usage of -i ending adjective is to explain a condition state of a thing. 2. The less understanding in -i ending adjective usage pattern and the various kinds of new adjective, unknown meaning or unlearn clearly and detail. Those adjective are misunderstood as well as less practice in Japanese sentence examples. It is hoped to read more Japanese sentence that used -i ending adjective, increase self motivation by learn precisely and correctly, searching related reference that connect to the -i ending adjective.

Abstract

This writing is focused on teaching materials of BIPA (Indonesia for Foreign Speakers), namely the implementation of BIPA teaching profession through the sector-based approach to contextual learning. Departing from the plurality held by foreigners as language users and the diversity of areas of interest to their respective to their respective professions. the teaching of BIPA needs to be reviewed in terms of diversity by creating a classification based on aspects of the teaching professions of BIPA. The majority of learners BIPA professional sectors, namely education, economy, trade, tourism, and politics. Learning through contextual approach allows learners who come from various sectors of the profession can be met Indonesian will need to smooth job. Teaching materials sector-based approach to the profession by integrating contextual learning opportunities closer to the real situation of learners based on their profession and teaching materials that deal directly with the field work.

Abstract

In Malay Manado there is duality functions held of ada form, both as verbs and particles. This research uses descriptive method. The population was the whole sentence containing forms exist in Malay Manado by purposive sampling technique. The method used is tapping the use of language in writing, followed by engineering log via the data, and then checking secondary data through consultation to the informan. The method used in this study, namely a unified method intralingual. This method analyzes the elements that are lingual in a language, in this case the elements in the form of Malay Manado. This study analyzed the theoretical approach of structural linguistics. This study foundthree things. First, the verb formation in Malay Manado through; affixation, reduplication, repetitive, reciprocal, and compounding. Second, the types of forms exist in Malay Manado through words and phrases. The form of words in the form polimorfemik formed through morphological process, namely through a form of affixation (prefixes, suffixes, konfiks) and reduplication (reduplicated perfect/intact, reduplication partial, reduplication resiprocal). The verb of Malay Manado form represented by affixing a repetitive phrase. Third, Malay Manado functionality through distribution forms of verbs and particles exist, to function as a predicate. Functional level verbs in this study occupied by the predicate. Level roles to fill in the verb predicate function there Malay Manado based on the results of this study are actions, processes, events, quantity, and circumstances.

Abstract

Poetry created by a process of creations which is involving the idea from the owner of the words. Stylistic is a model that speak inside the poetry. M. Rois Rinaldi is the owner of the words who uses stylistic in the creation process. This formulation of research is how stylistics in grouping poetry of Qasidah Jeruji Nurani by M. Rois Rinaldi. The aim of research is describing the stylistics in grouping poetry of Qasidah Jeruji Nurani by M. Rois Rinaldi. This research methods are qualitative. Qasidah Jeruji Nurani by M. Rois Rinaldi is indirectly an expression according to Riffatere, because of three main reasons, the first is displacing of meaning, the second one is distorting of meaning, and the last is creating of meaning. The conclussion of this research is the poetry of M. Rois Rinaldi entittled ‘Kelak’, ‘Membaca Wajah’, and ‘Secabik Senja’ has a specific metaphor about the game of life and death.

Abstract

Theme-rheme construction is a part of the universality language in the world. The most important aspect as thesupporter of theme-rheme construction is suprasegmental aspect, which is intonation role. With that intonation role,theme-rheme unsure and variation can be determined. In a theme-rheme construction research in Javanese-Banyumas,based on intonation role research, found that there is unique characteristic of theme, rheme, and supplement unsure. It isfound that there are six theme-rheme construction roles in Javanese-Banyumas, based on the intonation role as well.Moreover, five of those six roles can change into another role because of intonation role changing. Thus, suprasegmentalaspect has huge influence to the theme-rheme construction. AbstrakKonstruksi tema-rema merupakan salah satu ciri keuniversalan bahasa-bahasa di dunia. Aspek yangterpenting sebagai pendukung konstruksi tema-rema ialah aspek suprasegmental, yaitu pola intonasi.Dengan pola intonasi tersebut, unsur-unsur dan variasi konstruksi tema-rema dapat ditentukan. Dalamkajian konstruksi tema-rema dalam bahasa Jawa Banyumas, berdasarkan kajian pola intonasinya,ditemukan kekhasan unsur tema, rema, dan suplemen. Berdasarkan pola intonasi itu pula, dalambahasa Jawa Banyumas ditemukan enam pola konstruksi tema-rema. Lima di antara enam pola tersebutdapat berubah menjadi pola lain karena perubahan pola intonasinya. Dengan demikian, aspeksuprasegmental sangat berpengaruh terhadap konstruksi tema-rema.

Abstract

Ponosakan language is an identity of Ponosakan ethnic that lives in North Sulawesi. The language is one of potential culture of treasure in Indonesia. Currently, Ponosakan language entitled as an endangered languange. It is due to several factors, its speakers as well as factor of external of Ponosakan community. Therefore, Ponosakan language needs to be preserved, maintained, and revitalized. For in Indonesia social context, Ponosakan language is one of 746 local languages of Indonesia. The preservation and revitalization efforts need to be done. The efforts need to be adapted to the policy of Indonesian goverment and characteristics of the language itself

Abstract

AbstrakDebat merupakan salah satu wacana politik yang banyak mengandung ungkapan – ungkapan ideologi poitik di dalamnya. Dengan menganalisis wacana politik, kita dapat mengungkap banyak hal yang tersirat terkait politik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ideologi debat Gubernur – Wakil Gubernur Jawa Timur 2018 dari pasangan calon Khofifah Indar Prawansa – Emil Dardak. Sumber data ini dari website www.youtube.com, data penelitian ini adalah hasil transkrip debat pertama, debat kedua dan debat ketiga. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode analisis wacana kritis milik T.Van Dijk dan teknik coding dari Miles dan Huberman, kemudian dijelaskan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil temuan penelitian berupa ideologi pasangan Khofifah – Emil adalah ideologi konservatif. Penelitian ini membuktikan gaya bahasa repetisi dan leksikal merupakan aspek linguistik yang tepat untuk menemukan ideologi dari para kandidat dalam wacana debat politik. Saran untuk pembaca dan peneliti selanjutnya agar dengan penelitian ini diharap mampu menjadi referensi serta dapat mengembangkan penelitian yang serupa namun berbeda aspek yang akan diteliti.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop poetry writing ability on grade 7 students of Eben Haezar 2 Middle School in Manado. The design of this research is Class Action Research. The indicators such as diction, figurative language, rhyme, and image. The objects of this research are the 7 C students of Eben Haezar 2 Middle School which are comprised of 28 students. The data of this research are verbal and non-verbal data. The data were obtained by observing, recording, interview, and documentation. The data are analyzed using a qualitative method, such as classification, reduction, explanation and analyses, and conclusion. The result of this research shown that was ability increasing on poetry writing with acrostic technique including learning planning, implementing and the lesson learned.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the expressions used and expressed in a traditional wedding ceremony especially during the Motolobalango (to the marriage proposed), Modutu (to bring dowry delivery), and Moponika (to marry the couple) phases based on the Gorontalo’s cultural context, in obtaining their meanings, and to discover their patterns of thinking through the cultural meaning expressions.The data have been gathered throuch participation observations and interviews. The model of interviewing used, have been taken from Spradley (1979) which are descriptive questions consisting of grand tour questions, mini tour questions, example questions, and experience questions. After that, the data were described by using ethnography of SPEAKING technic by Dell Hymes. The three important phases of traditional wedding ceremony contain eight aspects of SPEAKING acronym.The research result shows that there are a lot of cultural meaning expressions in the Gorontalo culture. The results of this study are presented as follows: the communication processes are being caried out by verbal and nonverbal performances and can describe the Gorontalo people’s patterns of thinking which are among other: religious, handworking, showing, and appreciating good manner in their social and family lives.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to (1) describe the types of language error which is done by the students who follow the BIPA program at Indonesian Embassy, New Delhi, India and (2) to elaborate the way to solve the language error problem which is done by the students who follow the BIPA program at Indonesian Embassy, New Delhi, India.  This research use case study method. The collecting data procedure in this research is done by using observation method.  The writer himself does the teaching program and the observation directly, then record the data.Based on the result of data analyses, it can be concluded that the types of language error which is done by the students of BIPA program in Indonesian Embassy, New Delhi India are (1) expressing error, (2) personal error, (3) group error, (4) analogy error, (5) teacher error. Besides, the students of BIPA program in Indonesian Embassy, New Delhi India make error on phonology, morphology, and syntax field. To solve those problems, the writer suggest that the teacher has to understand previously those student’s language errors, then allocating more time to give the proper comprehension to the students so that the language errors mentioned can be solved or at least can be minimalized.Moreover, to solve the student’s language error on phonological, morphological, and syntax, the writer suggest to the teacher to provide time or special class for especially learning grammar because commonly the learning modules or the materials of BIPA do not input the complete grammar material.This research contributes the important input to the BIPA teacher who will teach Indonesian language for Indian students. This research also to add the language knowledge especially in language error field.
