Jurnal TUNAS adalah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh LPPM STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematangsiantar yang Tujuan dari publikasi jurnal ini adalah untuk menyebarluaskan pemikiran konseptual atau ide dan hasil penelitian yang telah dicapai di bidang pengabdian masyarakat. Jurnal TUNAS: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, berisi berbagai kegiatan dalam menangani dan mengelola berbagai potensi, hambatan, tantangan, dan masalah yang ada di masyarakat. Implementasi kegiatan layanan juga melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat dan mitra. Kegiatan pelayanan diorganisasikan menjadi kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Silakan baca panduan ini dengan seksama. Penulis yang ingin menyerahkan naskah mereka ke redaksi Jurna TUNAS: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat harus mematuhi pedoman penulisan. Jika naskah yang dikirimkan tidak sesuai dengan pedoman atau ditulis dalam format yang berbeda, naskah tersebut akan DITOLAK oleh editor sebelum ditinjau lebih lanjut. Para editor hanya akan menerima naskah yang memenuhi format yang ditugaskan. Jurnal TUNAS terbit 2 kali setahun. Pengiriman artikel tidak dipungut biaya, kemudian artikel yang diterima akan diterbitkan secara online dan dapat diakses secara gratis.

This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of PAUD teachers specifically software-based and android interactive learning in Simalungun District. This dedication was held during July 2019. This activity was carried out in two days, starting at 08.00- 11.30 WIB (first session), 14.00- 16.30 WIB (second session), on Saturdays, 20 and 27 July 2019, the location of the service was held in kindergarten Sandy Putra Pematangsiantar. The target of this activity is PAUD teachers in Simalungun District. The reason for the selection of service locations was deliberations from representatives of PAUD partner management in Simalungun District. For teachers, PAUD provides transportation to be taken to the location of the service given that this activity has a responsibility for PAUD teachers in educating the children of the nation in the industrial revolution era 4.0. The method used in the implementation is with presentations / lectures, discussions, questions and answers, and simulations / exercises. The results of this community service activity showed that of the 40 participants, PAUD teachers were able to answer all questions with a number of questions 45% (18 participants) after conducting training which previously were only able to answer 9 questions correctly as many as 13% (5 participants) before being asked for training. Therefore, in the future it is expected that further training can be carried out by PAUD teachers so that they can utilize knowledge more optimally and implement it more easily by their students.

Nowadays the task of the teacher is felt to be getting tougher with the change in the curriculum used, which is to become a Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) with one of the existing learning methods namely Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) learning. A learning using computer aids becomes an important requirement in learning with the CTL system, so it becomes a necessity for teachers to be able to master computer software that can help a learning. Software that can help learning mathematics in the classroom is MATLAB or Matrix Laboratory software, which is currently being used by teachers in mathematics and vocational engineering. To improve the ability of teachers to utilize computers in learning, especially in the use of MATLAB software, a "Training on the Use of Matlab Applications to Increase Teacher Knowledge" was held.

This training aims to foster and increase interest in writing, especially writing scientific papers for vocational students in Simalungun Regency and Pematangsiantar City. This dedication is carried out in 2 different Vocational Schools which are Partners of the dedication team, Partner 1 is the National Children's Vocational School located in Simalungun district and an exemplary Private Vocational School located in Pematangsiantar City. The activity was held for 4 days during July 2019, at the National Private Vocational School. The activity was carried out on Saturday and Sunday 6-7 July 2019, starting at 08.00-17.00 WIB with 52 students participating, while the Exemplary Private Vocational School was held on the 13th -14 July 2019 at the same time, with 25 students. The targets of this activity are vocational students in Simalungun District (SMK Anak Bangsa) and Pematangsiantar City (Exemplary SMK). The reason for the selection of service locations is because of the lack of student interest in these schools in terms of writing scientific papers, as well as the lack of scientific papers produced. This activity uses the method of presentation / lecture, discussion, question and answer, and practice / practice. The results of this community service activity show that out of 52 student participants in the Vocational School Private Nation, 25 students were able to answer the questions (Post Test) correctly as many as 10 questions (48%) where previously only able to answer the questions (Pre Test) correctly 9 questions as many as 8 participants (15%). While from 25 student participants in Exemplary Private Vocational Schools, 12 students were able to answer questions (Post Test) correctly as many as 10 questions (48%) where previously only able to answer questions (Pre Test) correctly 9 questions as many as 2 participants (8%).

The theme in the implementation of community service activities is graphic design. Increasing the ability of multimedia in Saentis village adolescents in order to increase the ability of graphic design for youth in Seantis village. As the aim of this activity is to introduce, train and improve mosque skills in the IT field specifically in the field of graphic design through the design of banners or banners. This dedication supports the creation of young people who have talent and skills in the field of graphic design that can be used to get additional training with attractive designs such as printing business.

The objective of community service which given to the Dharma Wanita Persatuan of Haji Abdul Manan Simatupang Regional Hospital is to sosialize the financial technology focusing on uncover the online lending risk. This community service is aimed to bring more knowledge about online lending that will help the member of Dharma Wanita to solve the unknown information of the online lending, so they can be smart enough in making decision to choose and taking the online lending. The service was held for one day at 21st of August 2019, in Medical Committee Room at Haji Abdul Manan Simatupang Regional Hospital. The method used was giving speech dan interactive discussion. All attendance were giving positif response about this sosialization service activity.

Submission of da'wah messages can be done in various ways. One of them uses audio-visual media in the form of video that can display elements of images and sound simultaneously. The use of video in the submission of da'wah messages is considered quite effective, because it can reach a wider audience and regional coverage. To be accepted by the audience, besides mastering the propaganda material delivered is demanded by the creativity of the video maker. The video of the work of creativity is part of the creative industry that has economic added value. If the video is distributed through You Tube to gain economic value, the video must collect at least 4,000 hours of watch time in the last 12 months and have a minimum of 1,000 subscribers.

In Karangtaruna School Dropout Youth Training activities in Kotamatsum IV, Medan Area Medan City District has a very dense population, motivated by various tribes, different livelihoods and low parental education. As for the level of life there are still many who live below the average, with poor conditions, where parents are unable to pay for adolescents for school, causing many teenagers who drop out of school and unemployed .. With the Youth Training activities Karangtaruna teenagers dropping out will provide knowledge and ability in installing electricity and AC services to school dropouts from disadvantaged families, assisting the administration of Kotamatsum IV in realizing non-governmental organizations through Youth Organization, to provide skills, so that they have competence in finding work, or entrepreneurship in the field of installation. The Community Engagement activity is done this time is to help the Malay traditional food entrepreneurs who can be said to be less commercial among other culinaries, because when the team Community Engagement conducts a survey to Medan Labuhan a few days ago, there were many Malay traditional food entrepreneurs complaining that their products were difficult to sell, not much demand. If you only expect local buyers, almost all people are good at cooking Malay food and cakes. This makes the team who is struggling in the field of IT to help these women to expand their business by utilizing the internet that uses smartphones to advertise the food they make. The number of culinary or foreign dishes that enter Indonesia does not require the possibility of preserving Indonesia's traditional culinary increasingly eroded by the times. Therefore preservation of traditional culinary must be done because it is part of Indonesian culture. Therefore, the use of technology is very important to preserve traditional culinary and convey it to the public, especially the young generation today.

State Vocational School 1 Sei Rampah Serdang Bedagai Regency annually holds Competency Exams for Class XII Lightweight Vocational School, prior to conducting the National Examination. Every year almost 90% fail in the Competency Exams conducted by these students. Therefore we are from Faculty of Engineering and Computer teaching staff serve this Vocational School to hold Competency Test Training for Class XI Students, so as not to fail when they later in class XII, to carry out competency tests. As for the implementation of competency training are: Tune up competency test training, Electricity, Steering System, Over Hole Engine and chassis.
