Abstract

An inverter is an electronic device that converts direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC). The output of an inverter is an AC voltage in the form of a square wave, modified sine wave, and pure sine wave. In this research, an inverter with pure sine waveform with 220 VAC rms and 50 Hz frequency. An Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS)  is needed to automatically divert electrical power from the Solar Inverter into the AC main source and vice versa. This ATS works when the battery capacity from a solar battery is decreased, the power source is switched to the AC main source , and diverted to a solar inverter when the battery capacity is under 50%. In this research, 184 watts of load is tested on performing the pure sine wave inverter. The ATS works properly to divert the source and needs a 5-second time delay when diverting the AC main source to a solar inverter, and a 1-second time delay when diverting from a solar inverter to an AC main source.

Abstract

Every company activity is inseparable from the risk of danger, therefore companies need to make efforts to minimize the consequences that could be detrimental. To minimize this, risk management activities are needed. In risk management, we must know what potential dangers may occur in the activity and the level of risk posed so that we can take appropriate preventive and control measures. Potential hazard analysis was carried out at the 3kg LPG gas cylinder maintenance workshop at PT. A B C. Due to the production process activities carried out by the workers, the workers still lack the self-awareness to wear personal protective equipment and there are less ergonomic working postures. Analysis using the HAZOP Worksheet method. The results of data processing show that sources of danger that can or have the potential to cause work accidents are worker attitudes, work environment conditions, falling materials, noise and sand particles. It is known that there are ergonomic risks in the work of the 3KG LPG gas cylinder maintenance workshop. The risks experienced include musculoskeletal disorders and fatigue that appears in the waist, arms, wrists, calves and ankles, as well as the neck. General steps that can be implemented to reduce potential hazards and risks are to require and emphasize all workers to use Personal Protective Equipment and provide workers with the tools they need, such as ergonomic tables and chairs. By implementing this, it can reduce work-related accidents

Abstract

The design itself consists of various points of view called The Four C's of Design, namely: Creativity, Complexity, Choice, and Compromise. The Jominy Test tool is a tool for testing the hardenability of steel which is carried out by a cooling process (Quenching). The planning of the jominy test tool (Hardenability Jominy Test) is based on the ASTM A255 standard. Testing the semi-automatic jominy test tool on variations in valve openings against pressure height gets an average result, namely a valve opening angle of 15 ° as high as 0 mm, 30 ° as high as 5.3 mm, 45 ° as high as 27.3 mm, 60 ° as high as 48.3 mm, 75 ° as high as 62 mm, and 90 ° as high as 85 mm. This test shows that the greater the valve opening angle, the higher the water jet emitted. The height of the water jet has passed the desired standard of 63.5 mm, so that the valve angle reference can be taken between the angles of 75 ° and 90 °. The closest angle to the height of 63.5mm is 75° as high as 62mm, so to determine the height of 63.5mm to increase the angle. In the experiment conducted using angles of 76°, 77°, and 78°. The results obtained are at an angle of 76° as high as 63.5mm, 77° as high as 64°mm and 78° as high as 64.5°mm.
