Abstract

A transformer is an electrical device that is used to change the voltage from one level to another in order to transfer electrical energy from one place to another. One of the main benefits of a transformer is to reduce power loss in the electrical network. Transformers can be used to stabilize the electric voltage and keep the electric voltage within safe limits. The protection system on the transformer is very important to prevent damage or failure to the transformer which can cause disruption of the electricity supply or even fire. This protection will work to cut off electrical connections and prevent damage to the transformer. Overload interference occurs if the current read on the Smart Relay LCD is more than 10 A so that the contactor will work after a disturbance of 5 seconds and the green indicator light will turn off. Whereas for Overheat interference on the transformer if the temperature exceeds 450C then the contactor will work to turn off the system with a duration of 1-2 seconds then the green indicator light and the system will OFF. The voltage drop disturbance occurs if the voltage read on the Smart Relay LCD is less than 15 kV on the primary side of the transformer and less than 300 V on the secondary side of the transformer so that the contactor will work to cut off the voltage after a disturbance occurs for 8-10 seconds then the green indicator light will turn off.

Abstract

Technological developments that are currently very helpful in work, one of which is in the agricultural sector. Farmers currently do not use technology, even though using technology can help farmers in completing their work. This study used the fuzzy logic method to control the temperature and humidity of corn. Several previous studies have focused more on making corn drying devices so they cannot remotely monitor temperature and humidity in corn. The aim of this research is to create an IoT-based corn temperature and humidity control system with the fuzzy logic method. This research focuses on making tools and systems that can monitor corn temperature and humidity remotely by utilizing a mobile application. The results of this study were two tests, the first experiment used corn with low or wet humidity and normal temperature while the second experiment used corn with high temperature and low humidity. The first experiment in the drying process showed a significant increase from the corn moisture value which was initially 400 to 649 in 15 minutes, while from 649 to 1003 it took 10 minutes. The second experiment took approximately the same time as the first experiment, which was about 15 minutes. When the humidity value has started to rise from 759 to 1005 it only takes approximately 10 minutes.

Abstract

Scientific documents contain valuable knowledge which can be discovered using text analysis. Meanwhile, the act of typing the text may discover the psychological and health condition. The hand load of the typer is essential information for designing a better keyboard, which is relevant to students' well-being in higher education institutions. This study aims to analyze the hand load of students when typing their theses in the Indonesian language. We calculate letter frequency in the Indonesian language theses documents, examine the hand load balance based on letter position on a QWERTY keyboard, identify letter hotspots, and examine hand alternation using circular visualization. The results are that the left hand has the higher load hand, indicated by the most frequent letter appearing in the documents and the letter W as the hotspot, located on the keyboard's left side. Moreover, hand alternations based on the sequence of Indonesian text identify a significant high alteration of letters from the left to the left side when typing Indonesian documents using the QWERTY keyboard. This result confirmed that the left hand has more load and less time to take a break than the right hand.

Abstract

Identification of critical components is one of the important steps in reliability-centered maintenance. This paper aims to develop a strategy to integrate key factors related to maintenance with component/sub system criticality. To analyze the criticality of a component, five criteria are used, namely duration of maintenance, probability of failure, level of risk of production process disruption due to component failure, facilities required for repair, and maintenance costs. A hierarchical network is created to identify important components based on these criteria. The Analytical Hierarchy process is one method to facilitate maintenance managers in making decisions in prioritizing maintenance of various components/failure modes so that the maintenance system runs more effectively and efficiently. Theoretical principles and real cases from an industry are analyzed to explain the implications of the proposed method. The results of the study provide a realistic solution in determining the priority of critical components in a reliability-centered maintenance plan. Abstract

Partial discharge (PD) generally occurs in electrical equipment that is encased in metal. The metal box is a form of high voltage equipment such as Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), power switchgear. Indications of high-voltage electrical insulation failure can be detected by the appearance of partial discharge. One of the sensors to detect partial discharge is the Transient Earth Voltage (TEV) sensor. This study is to find the difference in detecting partial discharges in 3x3 cm handmade TEV sensors and 4x4 cm handmade TEV. The TEV sensor is positioned at the midpoint of the bushing area. A bushing is an area on high-voltage equipment where there is a small gap. The TEV sensor was placed at a distance of 15 cm, 30 cm, and 45 cm from the bushing. Some partial discharge measurements are in the form of partial discharge waveforms, partial discharge Inception Voltage, and phase patterns. Then the calculation is carried out on the frequency range of the TEV sensor. The source of partial discharge in the air insulation medium is a needle plate electrode. Based on the measurement results, both handmade TEV sensors can detect partial discharge in the ultrawide band frequency range. The result is that the 4x4 cm TEV sensor is better than the 3x3 cm TEV. This can be seen from the acquisition of PDIV, partial discharge waves, or capacitance values. Although the range of values is not large.

Abstract

Segway is an innovation that utilizes an inverted pendulum model placed on top of a wheeled platform to create a transportation device capable of balancing itself. This research aims to investigate the balance and speed control settings on the Segway. The objectives are to address the balance issues of the Segway and determine the working system used. The study involves the analysis of components, circuitry, and mechanical design to overcome existing challenges. A BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motor is employed to maintain the Segway's stability while in an upright position. An MPU-6050 sensor functions as a readout for the Segway's angle and position under various conditions. The control system used is Proportional Integral Derivative (PID). The PID method is applied using angle data from the MPU-6050 sensor to maintain balance on the Segway. This helps reduce errors and makes the Segway's movements smoother and more stable. In this research, the Segway can move after self-balancing with a maximum tilt angle of 30º. The PID values used are Kp = 48, Ki = 3.5, and Kd = 1.6.

Abstract

Construction delays are becoming the most important issue facing all organizations in the construction industry. The majority of building projects in Pakistan are dealing with a similar issue. The goals of the organizations involved in construction firms, including the client, contractor, consultant, management, and others, are to finish the work within the allotted time frame, within the allocated funds, and with high-quality results. Construction projects are heavily influenced by delays; if individuals are unaware of the reasons behind the delays, they will not be successful. The purpose of this study is to identify the causes that cause delays so that the organizations can enhance the project's success. To determine the duration issues, the construction group members—owners, contractors, consultants, engineers, etc.—are surveyed using a questionnaire.
