Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the evaluation of the implementation of the robotics curriculum. Research place at SMPIT Insan Sejahtera Sumedang. Evaluation of the implementation of the robotics curriculum in research using a descriptive evaluation method of case study design with a qualitative approach. The evaluation model used in this study adopts the CIPP evaluation model which is limited to input, process, and product components. Participants in this study were principals, vice principals, robotics teachers and students of SMPIT Insan Sejahtera class IX. The criteria in this study also act as an instrument in conducting evaluation research. The data collection technique used in this study was a semi-structured interview. The results showed that in general, the evaluation of the implementation of the robotics curriculum at SMPIT Insan Sejahtera has shown good results even though there are several aspects that still require attention and improvement for the success of learning implementation in the future. Some aspects that need to be considered come from input components such as teacher competence, learning infrastructure, and supervision of the fulfillment of learning outcomes. While the process component is related to a series of learning planning, one of which is the selection of learning methods that are considered inappropriate to be applied to students. All aspects of the curriculum product component show good results and are in accordance with research evaluation criteria.

Abstract

Energi listrik telah memainkan peran penting dalam kemajuan peradaban manusia di berbagai bidang, termasuk bidang ekonomi, teknologi, interaksi sosial, dan budaya manusia. Kebutuhan akan energi listrik yang semakin meningkat sebagai akibat dari inovasi teknologi memberikan tantangan baik dalam produksi maupun distribusinya. Dengan meningkatkan kebutuhan akan keandalan, efisiensi, dan keamanan, peningkatan atas permintaan energi listrik meningkatkan kompleksitas jaringan listrik. Karakteristik ini berkontribusi pada jaringan listrik menjadi lebih pintar dan akhirnya memunculkan istilah "Smart Grid". Operasi sehari-hari ekonomi lokal dapat dipengaruhi oleh gangguan pasokan energi listrik. Akibatnya, sangat penting bahwa pasokan energi listrik dapat diandalkan. Estimasi kebutuhan energi listrik diperlukan dalam sistem kelistrikan untuk menentukan secara tepat jumlah daya listrik yang dibutuhkan untuk memenuhi beban dan kebutuhan energi listrik selama penyaluran energi listrik. Estimasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode regresi linier berganda berdasarkan data konsumsi listrik dan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Data yang digunakan merupakan data historis tahun 2014-2021. Hasil dari estimasi kebutuhan listrik di Jawa Barat untuk tahun 2022-2032 meningkat sebesar 2.35% pertahun dengan kebutuhan listrik tahun 2022 sebesar 54,278.70 GWh dan sebesar 68,489.84 GWh pada tahun 2032.

Abstract

Cognitive development starts from concrete thinking processes to higher levels, namely abstract and logical concepts. According to Piaget, children are naturally interested in the world and actively seek information that can help them understand that world. This research aims to describe students' cognitive development based on Jean Piaget's theory of development and how it is implemented in science learning at junior high school level. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive analysis approach. This means that in this research the researcher chose to use primary and secondary sources (books, journals, websites, etc.) regarding developmental theory according to Jean Piaget as a source of research data. This research focuses on the implications or involvement of students' cognitive development in science learning based on Jean Piaget's theory. The research results show that implementing Piaget's theory can help educators understand the stages and characteristics of students' cognitive development so they can determine cognitive levels and choose learning strategies that are appropriate to students' stages of development.

Abstract

Mahogany is a plant that grows freely in forests, gardens, and various areas and as a plant that has the benefits and economic value. However, now mahogany has been cultivated and is known as a traditional medicinal plant for humans and animals. The objective of this research is to identify the chemical compounds contained in the mahogany seed extract with methanol and chloroform solvents. The research used mahogany seeds with methanol and chloroform solvent. After that, was analyzed by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and GC-MS instrument. The results of the TLC test when used the methanol solvent with eluent chloroform: ethyl acetate: n-hexane as 4 points, an Rf value are 0.2237; 0.3818; 0.4727; and 0.6363. The eluent of chloroform solvent is n-Hexane: ethyl acetate as 5 points, Rf value are 0.1145; 0.2581; 0.3709; 0.5855; and 0.6709. Then, it was analyzed with the GC-MS instrument, revealing that the mahogany seed extract from each solvent contained 26 peaks for the methanol solvent and 16 peaks for the chloroform solvent. Therefore, it was analyzed with the GC-MS instrument, revealing that the mahogany seeds extract as 26 peaks for the methanol solvent and 16 peaks for the chloroform solvent. Thus, can be concluded that the mahogany seeds extracts with methanol and chloroform solvents have the same and also different contents and compound groups, depending on the polarity of the groups and/or compounds contained in mahogany seeds towards methanol and chloroform solvents. Therefore, concluding that the seeds extract with methanol and chloroform solvents contain the same compounds and different compounds depends on the polarity of the groups/or substance in the mahogany seeds with methanol and chloroform solvent. That’s way, we would like suggest to the future researchers be able to isolate the chemical content of the mahogany seeds and test their toxicity.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas kinerja guru, atau biasa disebut dengan prestasi kerja guru, merupakan suatu komponen penting dalam upaya manajerial pendidikan pada sekolah terutama menghasilkan produktivitas mutu lulusan yang diharapkan. Kualitas kinerja guru, merupakan salah satu sasaran pada kontek manajerial sekolah. Tetapi hambatan, kendala dan berbagai risiko manajemen tidak bisa dilepaskan dalam kinerja kepala sekolah, karena itulah kepala sekolah layak untuk berupaya terus dalam peningkatan kompetensinya. Training and independent learning Programs (TAILP) merupakan salah satu stategi upaya kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan kompetensi, terutama dalam peningkatan kinerja guru hingga menghasilkan mutu lulusan yang berkualitas. Training and independent learning Programs (TAILP) adalah salah satu strategi personal dalam upaya peningkatan kapasitas melalui cara belajar dan berlatih mandiri secara terprogram dalam upaya peingkatan kapasitas. Dengan demikian strategi ini dapat dilakukan dalam waktu dan cara yang dapat diatur sedmikian rupa tanpa mengganggu aktivitas keseharian.

Abstract

The activity of memorizing the Al-Qur’an is now increasing in popularity among society. There are various methods used in the process of memorizing the Al-Qur'an, one of which is the halaqah method. This method facilitates interaction between teachers and students, making it very suitable for application in educational institutions or communities such as Islamic boarding schools, tahfidz schools, community tahfidz groups in mosques. However, challenges arise when a teacher has to manage many students in one halaqah, making this method less efficient for large groups. This problem opens up opportunities for developing halaqah into an online format through the Quran application for memorization. This research aims to make it easier for teachers accompanying the memorization process to monitor the memorization progress of their group members. This research uses the UX Process and Methodology method to develop an application prototype. The prototype results were tested and reviewed by 11 Al-Qur'an memorizers as participants to ensure the application design met needs. Testing techniques and measuring tools use Usability Testing and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) to measure the level of ease of use and user acceptance of the application. The test results showed a positive response from respondents with a usability score of 71.2, which indicated that the application design was considered quite easy to use, intuitive and efficient. This research also shows that the IPA method and usability testing using Mission Usability Testing (MIUS) have succeeded in showing user behavior towards the resulting design so that it is easy to identify design positions that need to be adjusted and improved.

Abstract

One of the differences between the Merdeka Curriculum and the 2013 Curriculum is the making of teaching modules. Teaching modules, also known as lesson plans, have more complete components compared to the lesson plans in the 2013 Curriculum. In the Merdeka Curriculum, students are required to be active in learning and can think critically. Thus, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is a learning model that helps students understand the material. This PBL model helps learners actively investigate information about reasons and potential solutions to problems in everyday life. The research method used was distributing questionnaires to 34 Phase F students and conducting interviews with one of the biology teachers at SMAN 5 Padang, with qualitative data collection analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis showed that as many as 94% of students chose virus material as material that was difficult to understand because as many as 88% of students considered the material to be memorized, 74% chose material that could not be observed directly and as many as 64% of students chose because there were too many terms that caused students' understanding of virus material to be quite low. For this reason, it is necessary to develop a virus teaching module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) for Phase E SMA. Salah satu perbedaan Kurikulum Merdeka dengan Kurikulum 2013 adalah pembuatan modul ajar. Modul ajar atau dikenal dengan RPP ini memiliki komponen yang lebih lengkap jika dibandingkan RPP yang ada di Kurikulum 2013. Pada Kurikulum Merdeka, peserta didik diharuskan untuk aktif dalam belajar dan dapat berpikir kritis. Dengan demikian, model Problem Based Learning (PBL) adalah model pembelajaran yang membantu peserta didik dalam memahami materi. Model PBL ini membantu peserta didik secara aktif menyelidiki informasi tentang alasan dan solusi potensial untuk masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu menyebarkan angket kepada 34 peserta didik Fase F dan melakukan wawancara kepada salah satu guru biologi di SMA Negeri 5 Padang, dengan pengumpulan data kualitatif yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 94% didik memilih materi virus sebagai materi yang sulit dipahami karena sebanyak 88% peserta didik menganggap materi bersifat hafalan, 74% memilih materi tidak dapat diamati secara langsung dan sebanyak 64% peserta didik memilih karena terlalu banyak istilah yang menyebabkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi virus cukup rendah. Untuk itu diperlukan pengembangan modul ajar virus berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk Fase E SMA.

Abstract

Google Translate dan Deeple saat ini sudah sangat dikenal dan telah digunakan oleh mahasiswa di Indonesia. Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris dan Jurusan Filsafat di Universitas Advent Indonesia mengevaluasi penggunaan Deepl dan Google Translate serta terjemahan yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner tertutup tipe Likert. Sebanyak 85 mahasiswa dari dua program studi yang ada, yaitu mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris dan juga mahasiswa Filsafat Universitas Advent Indonesia telah menggunakan Deepl dan Google Translate dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki pendapat persepsi bahwa Deepl lebih unggul dengan persentase (73%) sedangkan Google Translate (48%) untuk hasil terjemahan yang mudah dipahami, akurat, dan tidak ada kesalahan terjemahan meskipun keduanya sama-sama dalam bahasa Inggris. kategori yang sama yang dinilai sangat baik. Sedangkan untuk fitur yang dimiliki Deepl dan Google Translate, hasil rata-rata menyebutkan Deepl lebih unggul dengan persentase (79%) sedangkan Google Translate untuk fiturnya mendapat (49%). Sedangkan untuk kecepatan dan kemampuan menjaga konteks dan nuansa, hasilnya menunjukkan Deepl lebih unggul dengan persentase (78%) sedangkan Google Translate mendapat persentase (44%). untuk hasil penguraian kata kompleks yang dihasilkan oleh Deepl dan Google Translate menyatakan bahwa Deepl lebih unggul dengan persentase (80%) untuk kecepatan serta mampu menjaga konteks dan nuansa sedangkan Google Translate mendapat persentase (40%). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa menggunakan Deepl sebagai pilihan untuk penerjemahan bahasa dari bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa Inggris atau sebaliknya dapat menjadi pilihan yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penerjemahan siswa dan membuat siswa menjadi lebih percaya diri.

Abstract

Pronunciation is an essential aspect of language learning, and it can be a challenging skill for many students to master. However, research has shown that using songs in language learning can be an effective way to improve pronunciation skills (Chen & Liang, 2018; Godwin-Jones, 2019; Lee, 2021; Zahra & Hadi, 2020). One reason why songs may be effective for improving pronunciation is that they provide learners with a model for correct pronunciation. When students listen to and sing along with songs, they are exposed to the correct pronunciation of words and phrases, which can help them to develop a more accurate pronunciation themselves. This research uses qualitative methods, especially interview analysis. One of the most crucial sources in qualitative research to gain an in-depth understanding of how people experience, feel, and interpret the social world is the interview (Dong, 2012). According to Oakley, a qualitative interview is a form of framework where practices and standards can be reached, pushed, and reinforced in addition to being documented (Nasreen, 2019). This research aims to determine students’ perceptions regarding the use of songs as a tool to improve English pronunciation easily. This research was guided by three main research questions: 1. What are the students' perceptions of using English songs to improve their pronunciation? 2. Can English songs help EFL students get better at pronouncing words? 3. How could using music help students pronounce words more fluently? Each song aimed to explore a specific aspect of songs for pronunciation. This study aims to gain insight into the various ways students use songs to learn language, such as saying words and hearing the rhythm and lyrics to facilitate vocabulary learning. Learning can be made more engaging and entertaining by using songs. While learning the target language, pupils feel at ease in a calm environment and pick up the language (as seen by their better pronunciation). They become more open to learning due to lowering their affective filter. Songs also aid students in better comprehending and pronouncing key phonological elements.

Abstract

This research aims to implement the use of plastic waste videos as a social studies learning media to enhance the environmental awareness competence of fifth-grade students at Inpres 1 Kayumalue Pajeko Elementary School. The research subjects consist of 16 students. The method employed is Classroom Action Research with a spiral model, and both cycles utilize Project-Based Learning. Based on the research results, the researcher and the partner teacher have successfully designed and implemented the learning model effectively over two cycles, addressing any challenges encountered. The research findings illustrate a significant increase in the average scores of students' environmental awareness competence. In the first cycle, the average score was 69.06, categorized as "less," while in the second cycle, it increased to 82.5, categorized as "good." There was improvement in scores in each cycle across all aspects of environmental awareness competence. The researcher concludes that the utilization of plastic waste videos as a social studies learning media has proven to enhance the environmental awareness competence of fifth-grade students at Inpres 1 Kayumalue Pajeko Elementary School. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menerapkan penggunaan video sampah plastik sebagai media pembelajaran IPS dalam rangka meningkatkan kompetensi kesadaran lingkungan siswa kelas V Di Sekolah Dasar Inpres 1 Kayumalue Pajeko. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 16 siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model spiral. Kedua siklus menggunakan Project Based Learning. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa Peneliti dan guru mitra telah merancang dan melaksanakan model pembelajaran dengan baik selama dua siklus, serta mampu mengupayakan untuk mengatasi setiap kendala. Hasil Penelitian menggambarkan peningkatan signifikan nilai rata-rata kompetensi kesadaran lingkungan siswa dari siklus satu sebesar 69.06 dengan kategori kurang dan disiklus kedua sebesar 82,5 dengan kategori baik. Terjadi peningkatan nilai dalam setiap siklus terhadap semua aspek kompetensi kesadaran lingkungan. Peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa melalui pemanfaatan video sampah plastik sebagai media pembelajaran IPS terbukti dapat meningkatkan kompetensi kesadaran lingkungan siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar Inpres 1 Kayumalue Pajeko.
