Abstract

The principal's management ability is the most important factor in order to improve the quality and progress of the school. With the management, it is hoped that the principal can increase the motivation of teacher performance. Motivation of teacher performance certainly requires a strong role of the principal in planning, organizing, directing and controlling. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the principal's management regarding planning, organizing, directing and control. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the principal's management regarding planning, organizing, directing and controlling so as to increase the motivation of teacher performance in schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The source of this research data is primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis of research data is carried out through by Steps: (1) Collecting data, (2) Reducing data, (3) Exposure of data, and (4) drawing conclusions. The results of the study are: 1) The ability of the principal's management in planning teacher performance motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Cibatu; 2) The principal's management ability in organizing teacher performance motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Cibatu according to procedures; 3) The principal's management ability in directing teacher performance motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Cibatu has been running well; and 4) The ability of the principal's management in controlling or supervising to increase teacher performance motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Cibatu by monitoring and evaluating. From the overall management of the principal, it can be stated that the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Cibatu Purwakarta Regency has been able to increase the motivation of teacher performance.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the management of school principals in improving teacher performance at MA Karya Bakti Sukasari. This can be seen in the implementation of school principal management in improving teacher performance, which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research methods. The data sources used in this research used interview data collection techniques and documentation studies. Research data analysis was carried out through the following steps: (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, (3) drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that: (1) The planning carried out by the head of MA Karya Bakti is based on the vision, mission, school goals, needs (need assessment) which are formulated in the school program created at the beginning of each new school year which is agreed upon with the teachers through meetings teachers' council; (2) The organization has been carried out by the school principal with the division of tasks according to the expertise of the teachers through new school year meetings; (3) The implementation of the school principal as a manager can be seen in the implementation of all programs that have been designed. This program is in accordance with the school program created at the beginning of each new school year as agreed with the teachers; and (4) Supervision carried out by the school principal to improve teacher performance, namely by conducting supervision. Supervision is carried out situationally, usually starting with student problems and then evaluating the teaching methods used by the teacher in class

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is consistency between the supervision of school principals and educational objectives at the Nusawungu State Vocational High School, Cilacap district. This research uses a qualitative phenomenological method with the subjects and data sources involved, namely the school principal, deputy principals, vocational heads and teachers. From the research results, it was found that teaching supervision carried out by school principals, deputy principals and vocational heads was carried out in three stages, namely (1) planning by making a supervision schedule, each supervisor and teacher who would be supervised knew the schedule, (2) implementation, at this stage each supervisor supervises several teachers, (3) evaluation, at this stage each supervisor and teacher has obtained supervision notes as evaluation material. Based on the research results, it is known that there is consistency between the principal's supervision and the institution's objectives at the Nusawungu State Vocational High School, Cilacap district.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of social media in shaping anti-bullying attitudes among adolescents, with a focus on a case study conducted at SMP Negeri 14 Kota Bandung. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving in-depth interviews, observations, and social media content analysis. The results indicate that social media plays a significant role in shaping anti-bullying attitudes among adolescents. Content that supports positive norms, educates about the impact of bullying, and engages in anti-bullying campaigns through social media can positively influence adolescent attitudes. However, social media can also become a platform for bullying if not monitored closely, with the presence of negative content and online bullying behaviors. This research provides a profound understanding of the complexity of the role of social media in shaping anti-bullying attitudes among adolescents, serving as a foundation for the development of more effective educational programs to reduce bullying among adolescents, especially within the school environment.

Abstract

This research was prepared with the aim of examining in more depth how the character education program developed at Madrasah Tsanawiyah PPI 165 Arjasari was to overcome student bullying which often occurs in the madrasa environment and what results were achieved by the madrasah in its program development efforts. It is hoped that the results of this research can be useful for author and becomes a reference for other madrasas in their efforts to develop character education programs in their schools. The author in this research used a descriptive method to solve problems that occurred, in the form of actual problems. The data collected and compiled is explained up to the analysis stage in the form of observations, interviews and documentation studies. The results of the program implemented in this madrasa are able to minimize cases of bullying that have occurred before and are more developed so as to produce an output of madrasa students who respect each other and respect each other, because Madrasah Tsanawiyah PPI 165 has its own way of implementing it, among the programs developed consists of 4 aspects, namely understanding morals, special formation, habituation and the allegiance ceremony

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of Character Education Strengthening at SMK Negeri 1 Subang as an effort to shape positive attitudes, behaviors, motivation, and skills in students. In the context of character strengthening as the foundation for the implementation of government regulations, this research focuses on the key role of guidance counselors in three main stages: knowledge, implementation, and habituation. The lack of character education can increase the risk of issues such as rudeness, lack of empathy, and bullying. The research employs a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation as methods. Results indicate the active participation of the entire school community, the implementation of the P5 program, and regular evaluations. Supportive factors involve the enthusiasm of the school community, understanding of the independent curriculum, and adequate infrastructure, while variations in student backgrounds and challenges in online learning pose obstacles. Positive impacts are evident in the reduction of bullying, a comfortable school environment, and students' improved character. This study provides an in-depth overview of the school's efforts to address bullying through character strengthening, contributing to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

Bullying is a phenomena that affects children in their social contexts, including their families, communities, and schools, even in kindergarten. This is what motivated the conduct of this study. It is crucial that early childhood educators and parents work together to stop bullying. The following are the research objectives: (1) Describe how parents and schools work together to manage the anti-bullying campaign; (2) List the elements that encourage and obstruct parent and school collaboration in the anti-bullying movement. Case studies were employed in this qualitative research project. Data were gathered through observations, documentation, and interviews. The findings of the study demonstrate how crucial it is for parents and schools to work together in anti-bullying campaigns in order to stop bullying in schools. Schools must keep pushing parents to get involved in anti-bullying initiatives, particularly by reaching out to them with information about bullying. Bullying in schools can be decreased via effective collaboration between parents and schools. Together, parents and schools can provide a secure and encouraging learning environment for every student. Increased communication, active participation, understanding, acknowledging the role of parents, and an integrated strategy between schools and parents can all help achieve this.

Abstract

Abstract: Climate change increases the risk of coastal tidal flooding. This is also influenced by increasing land subsidence and shoreline changes due to rapid industrialization development which ultimately affects the community, especially fishermen. With many coastal communities in Indonesia exposed to the danger of tidal flooding, adaptation measures are needed. Therefore, this study aims to identify the adaptation patterns of fishing communities to tidal floods with a case study of Bedono Village, Demak District and Penjaringan Kel., North Jakarta. The study results show that both areas have a high vulnerability to tidal flooding, but based on the physical and socio-economic conditions of the area, the impacts and handling are different. As a result of major abrasion in Bedono, the land was significantly affected, resulting in the rampant clearing of mangrove land into ponds due to the shift from agrarian work and the increase in fishermen. Adaptation efforts are mostly non-structural. On the other hand, with land subsidence in North Jakarta due to reclamation and rapid industry, the few fishermen in the area are increasingly threatened because there are not many livelihood options other than becoming laborers. Structural adaptation efforts, with their advantages and disadvantages, community-based structural and non-structural adaptations can be evaluated, improved, and local characteristics are more considered in order to minimize the risk of tidal flooding while maintaining the welfare of fishing communities. In addition, both regions can improve cooperative ties, especially between the government and fishing communities to increase community income and alternative professions. Keywords: tidal flooding, fishing communities, coastal communities, climate change, community-based adaptation Abstrak: Perubahan iklim meningkatkan risiko banjir rob pesisir. Ini dipengaruhi pula meningkatnya penurunan tanah dan perubahan garis pantai akibat pesatnya pembangunan industrialisasi yang akhirnya berdampak pada masyarakatnya, khususnya nelayan. Dengan banyaknya masyarakat pesisir di Indonesia yang terpapar bahaya rob, maka dibutuhkan tindakan adaptasi akan hal tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pola adaptasi masyarakat nelayan terhadap banjir dob dengan studi kasus Desa Bedono, Kab. Demak dan Kel. Penjaringan, Jakarta Utara. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kedua daerah memiliki kerawanan yang tinggi akan banjir rob, namun berdasarkan kondisi fisik dan sosial ekonomi kawasan, dampak dan penanganannya berbeda. Akibat abrasi besar di Bedono, lahan terdampak signifikan, sehingga maraknya pembukaan lahan mangrove menjadi tambak karena peralihan pekerjaan yang sebelumnya agraris dan meningkatnya nelayan. Upaya adaptasi lebih banyak bersifat non-struktural. Di sisi lain, dengan penurunan tanah di Jakarta Utara akibat reklamasi dan industri yang pesat, akhirnya nelayan yang jumlahnya sedikit di kawasan tersebut semakin terancam karena tak banyak pilihan mata pencaharian selain menjadi buruh. Upaya adaptasi bersifat struktural, dengan adanya kelebihan kekurangannya, adaptasi struktural maupun non-struktural yang berbasis masyarakat dapat dievaluasi, ditingkatkan, dan karakteristik lokal lebih dipertimbangkan agar dapat meminimalisir risiko banjir rob dengan tetap mempertahankan kesejahteraan masyarakat nelayan. Selain itu, kedua daerah dapat meningkatkan ikatan kerjasama, khususnya antara pemerintah dengan masyarakat nelayan untuk peningkatan penghasilan masyarakat dan alternatif profesi. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan membaca siswa kelas II sekolah dasar di Blora serta kurangnya penggunaan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan penggunaan media audio visual dalam proses pembelajaran di era recovery learning. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media audio visual dan kemampuan membaca pada proses pembelajaran di era recovery learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian ex-post facto. Data yang dibutuhkan diperoleh menggunakan instrument penelitian berupa angket. Sasaran pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SDN Plumbon dan kelas II SDN Punggursugih. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif penggunaan media audio visual dan kemampuan membaca terhadap pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran di era recovery learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada SMPN 10 Mandau Kabupaten Bengkalis dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh yang terjadi antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, partisipasi komite sekolah dan kompetensi guru terhadap kinerja guru serta dampaknya pada prestasi belajar siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 57 orang guru dan sampel ditentukan menggunakan teknik sensus jenuh sehingga jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 57 orang responden. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan memanfaatkan softwere SmartPLS versi 3.0. Hasil dalam penelitian menunjukkan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru, partisipasi komite sekolah berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru, kompetensi guru berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, partisipasi komite sekolah berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, kompetensi guru berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, kinerja guru berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa melalui kinerja guru, partisipasi komite sekolah berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa melalui kinerja guru, kompetensi guru berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa melalui kinerja guru
