Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of Islamic ethical values into counseling as an approach to resolving marital conflicts. The research employs a normative literature study method by examining various sources related to Islamic counseling, Islamic ethics, and family conflict. The findings indicate that Islamic counseling serves not only as a psychological assistance process but also as a means of spiritual and moral guidance grounded in Islamic teachings. Ethical values such as honesty, trustworthiness, justice, patience, compassion, responsibility, and consultation (shūrā) constitute the primary principles in helping couples understand the roots of conflict, regulate emotions, improve communication, and reach fair and constructive solutions. The integration of these values makes Islamic counseling more comprehensive, as it focuses not only on conflict resolution but also on fostering harmonious and sustainable family relationships. Therefore, Islamic counseling plays a strategic role in strengthening family resilience and promoting household harmony.

Abstract

This study analyzes child-rearing practices based on Islamic law in Macanang Village, Tanete Riattang Barat District, Bone Regency, focusing on the internalization of religious values in child-rearing. This field research employed theological-normative, juridical-normative, and empirical approaches. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed qualitatively. The findings show that religious values are instilled through habituation, positive role modeling, advice, guidance and supervision, as well as educational forms of discipline. Children receive religious education from their families, schools, and communities. These practices are consistent with the Qur’an, Hadith, and Indonesian positive law, particularly Article 45(1) of Law No. 1 of 1974 on Marriage and Article 77(3) of the Compilation of Islamic Law. Mothers play a more dominant role in child-rearing, although fathers’ involvement remains essential. Community and government support is also necessary to foster a generation grounded in Islamic values.
