Abstract

Dropout is a predicate given to former students who are unable to complete a level of education and unable to continue their studies to the next level of education. This study determines the factors that cause adolescents to drop out of school. This study is qualitative descriptive research with the type of field research. Data collection techniques are by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, to determine the informants using the purposive sampling technique, in this case, the researchers chose informants, namely teenagers who dropped out of school, aged 12-18 years, parents of teenagers, and the local government. The analysis used is an interactive model of data analysis technique that includes three paths specifically, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the factors that caused teenagers to drop out of school were economic problems, low learning abilities, adolescent associations, and student attitudes towards teachers.

Abstract

The nutritional problem of adolescents in Southeast Asia is anemia, which is 25-40% of adolescent girls experiencing mild to severe levels of anemia. Lack of knowledge about it causes young women to be anemic because nutrition is essential for growth and development. The study aims to know the difference in young women's knowledge of anemia before and after counseling. This type of research is a quantitative with a descriptive design. The study was conducted at a new high school on November 15, 2021. The study population was an x-class young woman of 248 with a sample number of 71. Sampling techniques using random stratified sampling. Research instruments use questionnaires assessed from pretest and posttest results. The treatment of anemia started before the posttest. Young women knowledge before good counseling 54 people (76%) and after the good advice of 70 people (99%). Young women knowledge covers the understanding of anemia before good practice 43 (61%) and after the good practice of 67 people (94%), the knowledge that causes anemia before counseling enough 30 people (42%) and after the good practice of 58 (82%), the knowledge of the signs and symptoms of anemia before the good 52 (73%) and after the good enlightenment of 60 (85%), Knowledge of the impact of anemia before counseling is just 38 people (54%) and after the good 46 (65%) and the knowledge of the initial treatment of anemia before the good at 67 (94%) and after the good at 70 (99%). There is an increase in young women's knowledge of anemia after counseling. It is best for educational institutions to improve health education especially on anemia in young women by facilitating school vessels such as the formation of pik KRR or other vessels that could answer students' questions about anemia and counseling.

Abstract

Breastmilk (ASI) is the first, main and best food for neonates, which is natural and contains various nutrients needed in the process of baby growth and development. Lack of milk production is one of the reasons why mothers give formula milk to their babies. Oxytocin massage is a massage along the spine (vertebrae) to the fifth-sixth rib and is an attempt to stimulate the hormones prolactin and oxytocin after childbirth. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of oxytocin massage on breast milk volume. This research design is quasy experiment with post test design. The population of this study was 78 post-partum mothers with a total sample of 26 post-partum mothers who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria using purposive sampling technique. The data collection method is by pumping breast milk and measuring it using a measuring cup and observation sheet. This research was conducted in February – April 2019 at the Independent Practice of Midwives E, Palangka Raya City. Data analysis used Man-Whitney. The results showed that the average value of breastfeeding volume was 21,369 in the cc intervention group and the average value of breast milk volume was 19,385 cc in the control group. The results of statistical analysis obtained a P-value of 0.840. The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant difference in the volume of breastmilk between oxytocin massage and oxytocin massage at the Bidan E Practice, Palangka Raya City. Research is needed relating to other factors that can increase the amount of milk production.

Abstract

Chronic energy deficiency is a condition in which a person's nutritional status is poor due to a lack of intake of energy sources that contain macro nutrients that last for long or years. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Factor Characteristics, Maternal Factors and Eating Patterns and Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) Events in Pregnant Women. This study used a correlational descriptive design, with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique is Non Probability Sampling with a sample of 150 pregnant women. Results shows there was a significant relationship between the age of pregnant women (p value of 0.002), parity (p value of 0.011), education (p value of 0,000), the history of complications (p value of 0.030), eating patterns (p value of 0,000), and the incidence of CED. There is no significant relationship between maternal family income and the incidence of CED, the p value is 0.063. Research result prove there are still 10,7% of pregnant women who spend Chronic Energy Deficiency and there are 10,7% of those who have poor diet, expect pregnant women to pay attention and meet their nutritional needs, to avoid Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) and be active in finding information and asking lots of questions that understand more about health, especially related to Chronic Energy Deficiency problems.

Abstract

Stimulation of growth and development in children under five during the COVID-19 pandemic significantly affects growth and development stimulation disorders. Disorders of growth and development in children under five can be influenced by families who have low socioeconomic status. Therefore, the government is expected to implement additional public health and education policies, especially for those in low-income families. The objective is to review the stimulation of growth and development in children under five with low socioeconomic status during the covid-19 pandemic. Scoping Review methode using the PRISMA-ScR framework; scoping review questions with the PICO framework; search for articles through relevant databases, namely Pubmed, Science Direct and Wiley, Critical Appraisal using the MMAT tool. Based on the 961 search results there are 10 articles that match the inclusion criteria in this study are as follows: original research articles, research studies using this approach qualitative and quantitative, articles published in English or Indonesian, articles published in the last 2 years in 2020-2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, in this review there are two main themes, namely socio-demographic and child-rearing patterns. Low socioeconomic and low income are factors that stimulate growth and development where the prospects for completion can achieve prosperity and prosperity in resource associations. Stimulation and food limitations are closely related to parenting patterns where parents can fulfill toddlers' nutrition and stimulate their intelligence. During the COVID-19 pandemic, health workers and cross-sectors sought to implement health and early public education specifically for low-income families. However, it is necessary to carry out further research related to low economic status, low income and limited food, because these are the main factors in decreasing growth and development stimulation of children under five during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with UNICEF which aims to improve the health of mothers and newborns in 25 countries that contributed the highest maternal mortality rate, one of them is in Indonesia. Adolescent who become pregnant will increase the health risks for her and baby. The maternal mortality reach approximately 70,000 deaths each year and maternal mortality is closely related to pregnancy and childbirth by adolescents aged 15 – 19 years in the worldwide. Objective of the research is to analyze the factors that influence adolescent girls’ marriage in Indramayu regency. This study uses qualitative method, the paradigm fenomenology. The subjects taken by purposive sampling technique. The informants is adolescent women who married about aged <20 years, her husband, and her family as much as 21 people. The results shows that family economic factors affecting marriage adolescent girls in the Indramayu regency that is caused economic status, the attitude of materialistic. Limitations of the study, there are several girls who live outside the city because they took the husband or for work outside the city, so it's likely there are many factors that have not been revealed. Economic factors affecting marriage adolescent girls in Indramayu regency, is causes by economic status and the attitude of materialistic. It is necessary to consider the policy of the Marriage Law with the age of >20 years and the prohibition of marriages <20 years so that young girls avoid negative impacts, both physical and psychological.

Abstract

Hyperemesis gravidarum is excessive or uncontrollable vomiting during pregnancy, which causes dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, or nutritional deficiencies. If this situation gets worse and cannot be overcome, it will endanger the mother and the fetus. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the hyperemesis gravidarum of pregnant women in the first trimester in Kendal Regency. Descriptive research design using a non-probability sampling design with a total sample of 54 pregnant women with gestational age 0-12 weeks who conducted pregnancy checks at the Polindes, Nolokerto Village, Kaliwungu District, Kendal Regency. The research instrument used a Check List. Data analysis using percentage. The results showed that almost all respondents (92.6%) had mild hyperemesis gravidarum, and a small proportion (7.4%) of respondents had moderate hyperemesis. It can be concluded that most of the trimester 1 pregnant women have hyperemesis gravidarum. It is recommended that pregnant women and their families actively seek information regarding the handling of hyperemesis gravidarum.

Abstract

Gender is the differences between men and women constructed socially and culturally related to roles, behaviors, and characteristics, which are considered appropriate for both and can be interchanged. The direct cause of maternal death is hemorrhage followed by hypertension in pregnancy and unassisted labor by health professionals. The study's aim is to determine the effect of gender roles in birth attendants elections at the Lancirang Health Center in Sidrap Regency. The research method is an analytic survey with a cross-sectional approach and sampling using purposive sampling of as many as 30 respondents. The Research was conducted in February – May 2021 using a data collection format. Analyzation using Multiple Linear Regression = 0.05. The results showed 18 (60%) mothers with gender roles in the 'good' category, 12 (40%) mothers with gender roles in the 'poor' category, 21 (70%) respondents chose the correct birth attendant, and there were 9 (30 %) respondents who chose the incorrect birth attendant. The statistical tests result has shown that gender roles influenced the selection of birth attendants with a P-value = 0.006. Thus can be concluded that gender roles affect the birth attendant election in the Lancirang Health Center Work Area, Sidrap Regency.

Abstract

Care of the reproductive organs is an initial effort to maintain reproductive health. Performing treatment of the wrong reproductive organs can cause infectious diseases in the reproductive organs. Based on the results of interviews the researcher obtained from 10 students that the behavior in caring for reproductive organs is not too well known. The research aims to find out the effect of health education on reproductive organ at Grade VIII of SMPN 7 Palu.This was a quantitative research with pre experimental design using one group pretest posttest deign. The research population was 41 respondents selected using total sampling. The data were analyzed through Wicoxon test. The data analysis used univariate analysis which is for analyzing a distribution of frequency, percentage of each viable while bivariate analysis used inferentially to search for the health education effect on reproductive organ at Grade VIII of SMPN 7 Palu, where the result of p=0.00 < α=0.05. In conclusion, there is a significant effect of Health Education on Teenagers’ Perception in Caring Reproductive Organ at Grade VIII of SMPN 7 Palu. The suggestion is after conducting health education dealing with reproductive organ it is expected that they can form a well self-concept followed by a good behavior and for the health officers that they can provide education for the students in order that they can care it better.

Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is a national problem because it reflects the value of the socioeconomic welfare of the community, and its influence is very large on the quality of human resources. Pregnancy anemia is called "potential danger to mother and child", therefore anemia requires serious attention from all parties involved in health care at the forefront. Provide comprehensive midwifery care starting from pregnancy, maternity, LBW, postpartum, neonatal and family planning care. Using descriptive method with a case study approach. Case studies were conducted using primary and secondary data collection techniques. Primary data include interviews, observations and physical examinations as well as care, while secondary data includes excavation of data in the cohort of research subjects, data from the MCH book. The results of care are analyzed by comparing theories with the cases determined using the SOAP care approach. Mrs "S" GIP0A0, age 20 years, gestational age 33 weeks 5 days Lab results: HB 10 g / dl. Care was given for 3 visits to Mrs. Hb. S. The results of visits to Mrs. "S" during the third trimester of pregnancy there are no complications, spontaneous labor in delivery, presentation back of the head, decrease hodge 0/5 without complications, in the puerperium with normal puerperium, in BBL with BBLN, in neonatal with physiological and on family planning, you want to become an injectable family planning acceptor. From comprehensive midwifery care in Mrs. "S" who experienced mild anemia, no complications were found ranging from pregnancy, childbirth, LBW, postpartum neonates and family planning.
